What It's Like To Be A Billionaire In New Zealand
Ойын-сауық
Just a hop, skip, and a jump from Australia, is New Zealand. While these two countries may be neighbors, they’re quite different! Billionaire life in New Zealand is still pretty new. The country has just over five million residents, which is smaller than some cities! However, New Zealand is becoming the home of many American billionaires because it’s the most ideal place to ride out the apocalypse. Yes, this is true. Billionaires like Larry Page and Peter Thield find that New Zealand is the best place to go should society ever collapse. They have even become official citizens, otherwise known as Kiwis. It’s truly remarkable how one little country can grow so much thanks to a few rich people noticing it. Since New Zealand’s pretty new to having so many wealthy people, it’s not as developed as other cities like Paris or New York City. The country only has a few Michelin star restaurants. But there is plenty of real estate to go around. Also, the country is seeing an increase in up and coming wealthy elite youths growing up into their own. Yet, many of the rich kids coming from wealthy families aren’t very well-rounded. In fact, they’re quite sheltered. Let’s take a look at what it’s like to be a billionaire in New Zealand and see how the other half lives!

As a New Zealander and in the 1% of global wealth, I can tell you NZ is an amazing place to live IF you have money. Fresh air, its clean, comfortable social scene, beautiful beaches, its paradise.. It does however lack variety and put on excitement which is why some of our billionaires go abroad. I can get that when I travel and always have the perfect place to come back to.

@@brucewillis2heyyy I’d love to be friends with rich folks (this is so surface level Ik) and also people from my dream country (originally from Ghana but in USA now) Can we be friends. Obviously it feels like you’re being liked for your money so I understand if you ignore or say no but it doesn’t hurt to ask. I just want to experience friendship with someone rich and get advice and motivation to work harder

house prices, food prices and fuel prices all skyrocketing while wages are not.
Investing their wealth into New Zealand makes everything more expensive (one example is the housing market). When they invest, they are buying and taking ownership of that services or property. Then make the population pay to use it at a profit for them, weather that is rent or a fee. Which of course makes everyone miserable through inequality down the line. There is a big for sale sign on New Zealand, and it’s being sold right out from under our feet. So when a government says we need more overseas investors it doesn’t mean it’s going to benefit the people. Just the rich and the large corporations through back handers.
The Mowbray children went to one of the top private schools in NZ…. Far from humble beginnings. They invented “bunch of balloons” while still in school and sold them by door knocking. This lead to Zuru toy company and now live in Kim Dotcoms ex-mansion

This comment is arrogant and clearly from someone who knows nothing about NZ. Our country was quite happy before being “noticed” and we don’t owe a few wealthy migrants any “thanks”. They hide in their retreats and add nothing to the country and our communities.
