What is Germany like through the eyes of a billionaire? Lavish real estate galore-- from villas to castles-- and a luxury car market so successful that it’s world famous are just a few of the things the country’s elite get to enjoy. In 2021, Germany had the most billionaires in Europe with a total of 136. The country is also now home to the youngest billionaire in the world, who is worth more than $3 billion at only 18 years old. Together, Germany’s richest control over $600 billion of wealth.
From Berlin to Munich, Germany’s elite are offered homes, high-end clothing, private jets, and superyachts beyond our wildest dreams. They enjoy the limited-supply of historic thatched cottages on the Island of Sylt, set out to sea on $100 million superyachts, and dress to impress in Prada, Gucci, Hermès, and Louis Vuitton. They also really spoil their kids, with entire social media accounts dedicated to showing off what the rich youth can afford.
However, the country’s wealthy tend to enjoy being invisible. They aren’t too flashy with their wealth and avoid publicity. It’s the rich kids who are breaking all the rules. Many billionaires instead want to stay in their country, help their people, and enjoy the luxuries offered to them right at home.

Well idk. Maybe he dont have homies perhaps friends that are necessarily rich. As a German/European i rather not wanna be a billionaire, sounds depressiv and boring. Rather average, but a bit over average to do big trips and own a bigger comfortable apartment

This part was pure nonsense. They have most of their assets in tax havens and trusts. They stay here because of the stability and overeall high quality of life, but make sure they use all ways to avoid paying taxes. Despite having profited from that very stability themself when they buiod their wealth.
How I wish I could be like that.... Germany is such an incredible country! I would love to visit that place. ❤️ Those Germans are surely rich!

but its the 1%of all germans that own 99% of all money in domestic households. Also, taxes are a real nail in our hands when youre a middle or lower class working person. Rich people invest smart and let their money work for them, while other germans can't afford investing in anything. A "normal" worker has to pay a lot of taxes while rich people use investing to swerve around paying too much taxes. Thats how the rich become even more rich while the poor dont have a chance of becoming wealthier other than saving up money.

I live in one of the richest small towns in Germany. Mainly there are only Porsches, Mercedes, Ferraris and other luxury cars driving around, most of them have several luxury cars, and big villas, while I can hardly afford to live financially hahah

I think is prevailing in this video, German billionaires come across as lower middle class to American and Chinese billionaires...Being so bland and austere is their mantra. .
The thing is the rich milk workers labour in their companies and then milk the labour again in the wealth funds, they milk labour everywhere they go because that´s what the system allows to do and the solution to that is to redefine what ownership is. To me, for instance, it seems absurd to privately own more than 2 apartments.
