The world could learn from Peter, a humble man with an ethical outlook for the way we should treat our fellow earth dwellers. Have a nice day Peter, and the same to the rest of the world. 😊

The things that Peter Singer preaches like living an ethical life are so simple and can be practiced by all but, for some reason, many people fail to do. To me, globalization and capitalism are a huge barrier to this ideal life. If you’ve a system based on competition, consumption, greed, and winning then don’t surprise when you end up with a society of greedy, competitive, and materialistic people.

Sry but you feel that way bc most of the money you work gets stolen and inefficiently, corruptly and politicaly distributed often to people who didn’t deserve any of it It is the socialist aspects that make capitalism extremely toxic, capitalism is just the economical equivalent to meritocracy which is actively destroyed in the modern time

What Singer preaches is not ethical at all. Altruism is evil and destructive. The spread of a moral code that is based on rational-egoism would make the world prosper like never before.

Bro Singer is NOT a good role model for what is righteous. According to his own works, an infant child has no more value than an animal, thus no rights beyond his utilitarian calculus. In other words, if Singer can only save 2 ants or and infant’s life, he chooses the ants.

I dont even know where to begin with this comment. That's a very reductionist and misleading interpretation of his views. @@venus-pq5gg

@Nobody-pq5gg Your last sentence is not right. In a moral context, he would not compare or equate humans or ants. Human infants and nonhuman mammals are much more comparable than humans and ants.

With the greatest of respect, religions do very little to move man forward. They are far more likely to cause schisms. Pain, confusion and injustice. Rather than 'belief', you are more likely to chose the right path by going with reality. Unproven supernatural hypotheses are beyond dangerous - they can be fatal.

Actually from his writing, the trendy vegans are living in excess which is evil. At least the ones I see online…. Buying tons of expensive fruits shipped from abroad, luxury processed health foods that cost an arm and a leg… and if you’re like freelee , hoard a bunch of land just for 2 people, that money could have gone to charity and feeding worldwide hunger!

You have no positive obligations besides to right wrongs you've personally committed. The "simple" moral rules he gave arent so simple, most people cant even follow those and cant extrapolate them beyond themselves.
