Perfect 👌 thankyou so much. I will look into them. I absolutely hate the reflection in my glasses but I also cant see without them 😅. Previously the two offset box lights worked but not suitable for travel.

I just started making videos on youtube and it's surprizing to see how hard it is to speak on camera, i used to stream on twitch back in college, i organize national hackathons where i need to speak to a large public in front of CEOs and ministers and explain hard concepts in a class full of teachers i thought with a wide range of audience in my past experiences i could be able to make a simple video but i was wrong T___T, thanks for the tips hope to see you grow.

If it's any consolation, I was kind of in the same situation. Sung in front of large audiences, loved things like speech competitions, and even when I was working, I was running sales seminars. Didn't phase me. AND my partner is an actor - so having camera's around the house was nothing new. BUT.... once it was ME in front of the camera, its taken me literal years to get to where I am. The first time I tried, I ended up in tears and basically having a panic attack! My trick is that I script everything - so I memorize a line, speak it to the camera, memorize, speak... and so on. Then in editing, I just cut out all the bits in between (sometimes I'm lucky if I remember 5 words at a time, other days I can do whole sentences or paragraphs - so don't be afraid to just do lots of editing. ;) ). Sometimes it comes out more natural, sometimes it's not so great. But it gets easier every time. So totally keep going!!

@@rachelleardle_ My channel is aimed at people kind of like me - Mum's who are wanting to go into the photography field, be at home with their kids, and being able to do most things around also being the primary "housewife" for lack of a better word in the home. Doing weddings every weekend is just not an option for most of us - so what can we do from home that still allows us to be a photographer and make money from it? So things like stock photography, youtube, teaching, zoom lessons (or similar). That kind of stuff. :)

@@rachelleardle_ Busy - talking head video's are the easiest, but as soon as I try to put extra footage in, that's a challenge - but one I'm wanting to do. So it's a lot of upfront work to learn EVERYTHING. But I'm really looking at everything this year, as it's a whole year to learn and grow, rather than expecting immediate results. And every time I make a video, I'm trying to "fix" or upgrade one thing. Learn a new lesson, apply it next time. But I really love it. :) Also, there's so much that's behind the scenes that aren't talked about when most people discuss being a youtuber - there's a whole business behind it in some way. Signing up to affiliate networks, creating freebie's, doing the work FOR the youtube episodes (like me with stock photography). It's pretty massive.

Regarding the light reflecting in your glasses, I would try a diffusion screen between you and the ring light. The ones they use in lighting are thin plastic sheets in various degrees of opacity or filtering out of the light. You might even find a sheer fabric that would work. You could just hang it from a clip hanger and a selfie stick while you travel, and then come up with a more elegant solution for your permanent space. Hope this helps. Enjoying the energy of your videos. ☺️

@@rachelleardle_ my goal is to try to monetize in 6 months, lol. I feel like my content is decent but I don’t feel like I’m getting any traction. Thank you so much for the tip. I took all hashtags out of my titles and didn’t know not to use for my tags. I took out of the description as well because I thought the keywords in my description was what I needed. 🙏💕 You are an angel!! Thank you for this! Also my goal is really to help people 40 and up to inspire and encourage them to start their own channel and to help with the tech skills that seems so foreign and harder for our age to learn than younger people.

@@Moneyfromzero Keywords and 3 hashtags in your description. Then your Tags are the phases you want your video to show up for if people search it. The more specific a tag (phrase) the better for small channels because it means you have less competition for that phase. Eg, instead of "start a KZread channel" try "start a youtube channel in your 40s"

@incredifall They definitely help get subscribers but if the goal is to get monetized for ads it's harder to get 10M watch hours for shorts than 4000 for long form. They also don't cross over so shorts watch hours don't count towards long form and vice versa
