What Is The Most Famous 360 Flip Ever Done?!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Most Famous 360 Flip product made by Chris Cole below!
storiedskateboarding.com/prod...
Now that the professionals have spoken, it's your turn...what do you think is the most famous 360 flip ever done? Not the biggest, longest or fastest...the most famous. Not who has the best 360 flip or the hardest 360 flip ever either. The small batch that we interviewed, narrowed it down to Chris Cole at Wallenberg and Chris Joslin at Davis Gap with Josh Kalis at LOVE Park right there with them. It may be impossible to say and it may be completely dependent on the generation you grew up skating in. So let us know in the comments below! This video features pro skaters such as Jamie Thomas, Geoff Rowley, Paul Rodriguez, Aaron Jaws Homoki, Torey Pudwill, Bucky Lasek, Jeremy Wray, Sean Malto, Stefan Janoski, Ryan Sheckler, Dave Bachinsky, Mark Appleyard, Felipe Gustavo, Colin Mckay, Antwuan Dixon, Danny Way, Wade Desarmo, Jason Lee, Kris Marcovich, Johnny Layton, Andrew Brophy and more. With footage from skate brands such as Plan B, Zero, Emerica, Fallen, Baker, Toy Machine, Flip, Etnies, DGK and more. Special Thank You to Photographers Kyle Camarillo and Joey Shigeo and Videographers Jamie Thomas and Erik Bragg. Only 50 print plaques were made and all hand designed by Chris Cole. The way they talked about battling really stuck with me, it's something every skater no matter what skill range can relate to. I've had some battles that were nowhere near as big as those guys and finally sticking one and running away is one of the best feelings I've ever felt. Cole talks about blacking out during his land and I totally agree with that. You get into a crazy zone and focus that it's sometimes even hard to remember the details of when you actually landed it.
The only thing that matters to me is that we can talk about a skateboard trick like is a fine wine with flavors and we're all connoisseurs. They taste so good.
The essence of skateboarding is .75 seconds of content stretched out into a 14 minute video.
I was getting ready to say Josh Kalis off the bump a little tongue in check but it was great to see Josh getting some love for having the first beautiful 3 flip in the game.

Yeah, Kasper's 360 flip down Carlsbad in Trilogy was so heavy. That was actually the first one I thought of. I think because it's now 28 years ago and Kasper isn't someone who most people remember, it's been lost to history. It's unlike Tom Penny's switch frontside flip down Carlsbad. He has legend status. But, yeah, I was 13 when Trilogy came out and I can verify how heavy that was for the time.

4:52 Bro what he was doing that back then?? Idk if ive even seen it done nowadays. I know it still isndone but cant remember seeing another clip.
I love a lot of 360 flips...which is a weird statement to make but one that is factually, true. The treflip is still one of the most impressive maneuvers to me. It just looks so perfect and incredible. It looks like it was meant to be. It's the trick that if you can do it, consistently, you're the man. Plain and simple. If all you could do was a treflip, fast, and make it look stylish, you'd still be a boss. It's that quintessential of a trick. I can't even begin to tell my favorite or most impactful (to me) 360 flip but some of Jamie Thomas's were influential to me in the late 90s. Kalis for sure - I bought the DC video from the skate shop... Photosynthesis, too. Jason Lee, I saw a clip of him 360 flipping off a curb cut, in the early 90s, before I ever skated. Of course the GOAT, Mullen, seeing what he could do with the 360 flip in Round 2, forget about it! Got that one from the shop, too, with my homie and we watched it in his Gpa's van (that we later found out he picked up hookers in, hence the tv/vcr hookup lmao I couldn't make this ish up) and by the time we got home, it was "time, time for some Axion". Marc Johnson is a 360 flip technician, he can do them into a manual and still look like he's about to take a nap - That's impressive AF lol. Super smooth, super tech. There's so many more that I would feel the need to mention because these, only scratch the surface. At the end of the day, it's good that skateboarding can have these kinds of discussions because skateboarding is what keeps skateboarding, alive, and talking about skateboarding is good for that. It's good to celebrate an activity like skateboarding and to talk about it's milestones and it's highlights. Nobody else is going to do it. Remember, this was an outsider activity and still, is. It's up to the people that are doing it to shape it's legacy. This type of stuff is the only way, that's getting done and I'm glad for it.

Thought the same thing I think he’s a little salty he’s on fallen lol
you should sell boards signed by Rodney Mullen. The graphic could be him doing a 360 flip or a darkslide

The fact i have both their signatures on a deck and have met Joslin hella times before hed even had 1k followers on social is insane to me.

So sick!
I’m shocked that Justin Brock’s three flip across the California St gap in SF isn’t mentioned. Bombing that steep ass hill and launching it, the catch and the psycho ride out. So sick.

Good callout
The answer is Jason Lee!!! And more than one of them! Not only is he the most "famous", but he had the best 360 flips ever and solidified them into modern street skateboarding! Even if he were to film and put one out today; it would be the new most famous 360 flip!

That chris cole part from dying to live was my favorite as a young skater. I still have that dvd. I loved zero and watched that video RELIGIOUSLY.
