Im from mariupol. azov which is like 10 times more hardcore. They were in half and half prorussian,Ukrainian city and still managed to hold it for over 3 months without Western equipment. In a siege surrounded.

I have seen a lot from this unit and to be honest they operate better than the Ukrainian military, they are more like Ukrainian special forces. If it’s true they are just football fans, that’s really actually unbelievable, they operate very tactically and just generally move very well like a well trained special forces unit. If I were Ukraine I’d hand them the keys and give them anything they ask for, they’re very efficient, I’ve seen it with my own 2 eyes. I’ve also seen a bunch of footage of other groups, these guys are about as good as Ukraine has to offer, they almost move like US or other western special forces. Very impressive young men.

Most of the Kraken are Azov veterans who have been fighting the Russians in the Donbas since 2014, and yes, it's true many of them are football fans

Kraken is a fantastic unit. BTW, i WW2, when forming Commandos, the soldiers never bothered themselves with routines that the regular army was doing; they instead promoted agility and creativity. Comes as no surprise that most of the Commandos were Uni educated with many alumni of Oxford and Cambridge, highly intelligent people. Success seems to come hand in hand with these qualities - so stay strong!:)

I think after the war they might become an actual SF unit on the same level as the SEAL or Delta. Maybe even a component special unit of the territorial defense like the units within US SOCOM. but first let release the Kraken and reclaim the land taken. Slava Ukraini.

In a desperate war of defense it does not matter who you were before the war it only matters what you can do. Those that can do, quickly rise to the top. A lot of these lads probably learned some things about their capabilities and endurance that they never knew was possible. 🇺🇦

@@dragonmartijn yes, it’s sad but true. Too many have died too young. War is the ultimate in human stupidity and insanity. But it is what it is. Some people, maybe you included, believe it would have been better to let Putin take Kiev and the country to avoid all of the bloodshed. I’m sure Putin would have largely let the people alone after he imprisoned and/or executed the leadership but a lot of the civilian population rose up and helped run the Russians out of the west. People don’t like to be slaves. The human will can be indomitable at times. Even the Ukrainian conscripts, who may not be totally happy to be there, feel like there is some sense of righteous purpose for their sacrifice. I’m not sure I can say the same for the Russian conscripts.

Be proud and keep fighting for yourself, your country, yours and problably our freedom. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦❤️🇳🇱

These volunteer Kraken unit lads are following a very similar path as the Azov Battalion and they're extremely good at their job already. With extremely capable volunteer battalions like Kraken and Azov, Ukraine is in good hands. Слава Україні, Героям Слава!!🇺🇦🇺🇦✌️✌️

before the start of the war in 2022, there was an Azov regiment and various civil organizations based on former military regiments, then they created the Kraken, now the Azov SSO is the 3rd assault brigade, and of course with a nationalist base of football hooligans, etc.

Cool kraken the special ukraine's special forces i saw the footges you are very brave and trained well as the special unit called KRAKEN, greeting from Indonesia and KOPASSUS ( special forces command )

Football fans never sounds right... Oh well, I hope I'm mistaken. Also, Bahmut warriors were royally pissed at Kraken for coming to their positions and shooting tracers, then leaving. Then the resident unit suffered heavy losses from artillery attacks. So much for tracers...

Kraken is the business. I met a platoon of these guys downtown Kharkiv. Half the unit was wounded. One guy was trying to roll up his sleeve to show me his Kraken tattoo, but his hand didn't work anymore. Every member was extremely enthusiastic to be part of it. High level warrior ethos.

One of the best Ukrainian unit. 92nd Brigade is also really good. The Adam drone unit also.

Actually this unit is a offshoot of the AZOV Battalion. After Mariupol this unit was dissolved and the Kraken unit was set up.

ITS TIME TO RELEASE "THE KRAKEN" AGAINST THE HATED ORKS

The drone is fucking awesome. And less than € 1000,- p stealth drone. Next step would be adjusting angles for the inner frame keeping reflection of Radar that will be converted to US waves in this type of material in mind, towards the ‘sky’ at all times. Very complex mathematics I can only visualize it, wish I finished high school for the maths. Europe is very interested in Buying this Dutch/Ukrainian technology, especially for these costs..
