The stand on the 3 has been totally redesigned with an accessory rack in the center.

Will the slow roller work in the classic 2?

It looks like the kj2 bottom bowl is shorter than the kj3. So not sure if you could buy the kj3 accessories in the 2.

This one is old, but I almost lost my drink when he said he couldn’t give a classic I away!! I suppose he only sells them and doesn’t actually grill with them, I have the classic I with no issues whatsoever.

Hows the American meat costs going wow I took a look over the scheduled meat prices are right through the roof, you will all have to do something as your administration is really bringing hardship to the BBQ industry meat supply, much love from Australia and New Zealand meat producers and Chefs association.

Yes, the slo roller and ash basket can be added to the II.

I think the 3 is taller so more internal room

Stands are also different; and the wheels are different; shape is different; and the III includes accessories that the II doesn’t have but I think you can “upgrade” to have.

What about the stands I can see in the video are definitely different

@@joshauth9975 The main difference is just quality of life improvements. The hinge makes the lid easier to open and the daisy wheel is better. But the cook is the exact same. For the money you save it's a way better deal. The oj Joe does just as good a job.

Agreed. Perfectly happy with my classic I and I would take one for free any day. I’d also spend $700 on it again especially when debating between it and Big Green Egg that never evolves.

You lost me when you said the base is identical between the classic 2 and 3 ... the new model is taller to accommodate the SloRoller

I heard the slo roller can be put in the classic 2 as well? Just the extra height of the 3 allows for the new divide and conquer, is this correct?

Can I upgrade my Classic II to match the III? I believe that the answer is yes, but what parts would I need to purchase? I see it as the charcoal basket, SloRoller, and the updated divide and conquer rack system...

Yes and no, if you can find it in stock you can get the SloRoller insert: Kamado Joe SloRoller Hyperbolic Insert For Classic 18-Inch Grills - KJ-HYPER. What I have read is that it doesn't perform as well as the III.

It's been four years since the new cart was designed.

The classic 2 looks wider than the 3. Do they both have the same size grates?

@@johncochrane2515 They aren't identical externally. The 3 is a little taller and a little narrower on the bottom.

There is nothing like a Weber, most people that buy this end up selling it! A lot of people are selling them for peanuts on Craigslist!

Yeah, I have 3 Weber’s and love them and thought pretty much the same. Even bought accessories to convert Weber into a “poor man’s” smoker, but too much fiddling with during long cooks. It was only after I bought a Joe Classic II and began using it, especially for long smokes, that I realized how wrong I had been. Now, I use both, but great as they are, Weber is not a substitute for my Joe.
