ROBOBOT THE BEST. For the Entire Series we’ve been Bullying these trees, slapping them across the face with minimal effort . But your first encounter in Robobot? He recalls his Dreamland 3 days, pulls a resident Evil and basically becomes Nemesis. Then in the proper fight, He changes the stage dynamic 3 times. Beautiful first fight to an amazing game.

Tropic Woods is actually a really interesting way to show how much the wildlife has adapted to the abandoned, even forgotten land. It uses fences built by the old inhabitants as defense, meaning that it's had beef with others before.

I've never played Planet Robobot, but that tree looks fun to fight!

Trust me, if u can ever get your hands on it, it will 100% not disappoint, every boss in that game was insanely good and in my opinion, better than the Star Allies versions

Robobot definitely deserves its praise as one of, if not the best Kirby game. While I wasn't a fan of a particular boss, it is the best of that sort of boss battle in the series to me if you know what I mean

@@JosephVTB Is there a way I can play it without a 3ds? The only Nintendo consoles I have is the switch, and the Wii. So I've played all the Kirby games on the switch, and have been wanting to get Return to Dreamland one day.

If you've never played Pinball Land, just watching a playthrough may make some of its elements easy to overlook or misunderstand. Kirby doesn't take damage in that game in the traditional sense. In boss fights, what you need to watch out for are being knocked down the drain by attacks (forcing you to reach the boss again and resetting the fight), and attacks that will disable a flipper for a few seconds. You generally have to dodge the former and can often either knock away the latter with good aim and timing, or interrupt the boss before they launch the attack, which can give the fights a fun element of urgency and skill. A bit frustrating that one slip-up has the potential to undo all your progress, but on the other hand, none of the fights are very long. I mean, I'm not saying the Pinball Land Whispy fight is a masterpiece, but I'd put it above Adventure, where you can just park next to him and "press attack to win" with one of several different copy abilities available in the first world. Probably above the Dream Land fight too, though if we're lumping in the hard mode of that fight, it gets more interesting.

Even with that in mind (which I agree with,) he still shouldn’t rank it at all because he never experiences it and judging by how it looks. (including Block Ball. Which suffer from the same reasons.)

I love this list! I liked a lot of the fights myself, there are some games I never have played like Kirby pinball, but overall I agree, planet Robobot probrably has one of the best Whispy fights ever!

A tier list for meta Knight, galacta Knight and also morpho Knight as they all look similar

Yea, i think Clanky Woods takes the cake. HE was the most fun, i was slightly disappointed that Tropic Woods stayed in one place

You do realize Nightmare in Dream Land is a remake of Adventure, right?

Definitely Clanky or Tropic Woods. Both have great mechanics that deviate from most Whispy fights

That was my first real Kirby experience, thanks to Smash, i got the Dream collection on the Wii, and on Three Kings day, my live has took a great turn for the better, with that amazing game

l fell like Parallel Woods should be separated from regular whispy and be higher in the list, Whispy and Yggy were very easy, but Parallel Woods was the first time l died for Whispy in a Kirby game, my boy was treated dirty smh

I understand there are a lot of fights to rank, but "hard mode" bosses in Kirby games generally mix things up a lot more than your typical video game hard mode. Parallel Woods is a good example, and even the original Whispy fight in Dream Land is vastly different (it takes away the whole "camp right next to the trunk" strategy, and can kill you in two hits). While each hard version getting their own entry may be asking too much, I would've liked to see them factor into the rankings a bit more.

Pinball land and block bAll are on the 3DS virtual console. They are fun for me.

For Block Ball, that one was on the 3DS back when the eShop was still thing. I've played it, and yeah, I can't argue with that one.

another detail about clunky woods: he chases you in the first level destroying the environment around you while your only options are to run. Really adds to how good it feels to kill him. This is the first boss, by the way

For the record, Block Ball has a jump button that makes Kirby get bigger and move way faster if you press it right as he hits a paddle. It even lets you take a hit from spikes without getting hurt! Oh AND there's Copy Abilities that I'm... pretty sure you can carry into the boss fights? yea Block Ball is REALLY entertaining by breakout standstds

My first real Kirby experience, and the absolute best version

Honestly, I'd rank Dream Land 1 Whispy over Super and Adventure/Nightmare in Dream Land, since the inability to use copy abilities means you actually have to engage with the boss' mechanics and not just wail on him for 5 seconds and kill him instantly.

In the old Super Star, the twin woods would spin and change their trunks. You forgot to mention that. It happens after a minute or so.

The biggest pushover in all of video game history. He is so easy there are already speed runs of how fast it take to beat him. He is so easy he tried to be a mascot to fight forest fires. He is so easy his apples can make a full bowl of applesauce. I can go on, but this is just too easy to make fun of…

Lumping hard mode fights with their standard versions, when many of them significantly change up how their respective fights work, but counting remakes' Whispy fights that play more or less identically to the originals sure is a choice.

That means you don't have to jump on the roots. well... you only can do that after you beat the post-game. And Tropic woods is a boss in the post-game.
