Shield Logic in Kirby kills me The Ice Guard,which is probably the strongest material out of all the other things,is easier to break than the others A freaking wooden silhouette and a bush can take on Magolor,Sectonia and all the other Bosses' Hyper Beam Attacks and they just don't do damage at all This Shield can resist against Giant boulders and Lava balls but can't resist against a Snake

The silhouette/bush isn't blocking the attack, it's hiding in the background where attacks don't work. Funny story though: Whispy Woods, of all people, can get through this sort of thing because he's technically a platform crushing you. The instant death is special-cased away but nothing can save you except actually dodging it.

i always thought it was more about the Counterattack move - easily the strongest thing in the game on Ranger/Hammer

Meta Knight's meteorite attack penetrates the shield because when you're hit by it, it triggers the squish animation most likely being solid ground rather than a projectile.

ironically, kirby's greatest weakness is getting eaten.

For Meta Knight’s rock attack, you can see that Kirby gets squished, like in the Power Plant.

wow nice job on the video this is very interesting as most of the attacks don’t get through which is similar to the stone ability but since you can’t move away afterwards most of the enemies wait ontop of you so you have to take damage i’ve noticed while using stone which is why i like archer more because you can move and avoid damage with that so it’s just better than stone also you did a video on the sheild but i noticed the disappearing dodge move with the morpho knight sword is also pretty strong i’d love for you to do an experiment video with that ability to i think it’d be pretty interesting but anyways awesome video keep up the good work my friend

fun fact you can normally block the giant spear from chaos elfilis's big sister

the reason the giant rocks attack hurts kirby is because it crushes him, just like the giant metal crushers.

Ice works like this too! (And blizzard Ice damages enemies as well)

I literally never shielded or blocked once throughout my entire playthrough.

Only 3 things can really hurt the shield… 1. The Power of Forgo 2. The Power of the Knights 3. The Law of Physics (command grabs and liquid don’t count)

I know this could just be a coincidence but knowing HAL's attention to detail, the attacks that hurt kirby all making sense logic wise amazes me, like only being crushed by objects that won't break around you like machines hence why boulders that can move or break won't hurt, and why kirby gets damaged when eaten or grabbed etc because as soon as kirby is lifted or moved he'd lose his stance since clearly weilding the shield requires you to stand guard with it being so huge and heavy. Obviously the exceptions are fleurina and morpho knight but like you said, it's not the fire that hurts kirby from morpho's attack, so it's logical to assume the tornado needs to be powerful enough to lift kirby into the air to again make him lose his stance and guard as we clearly can see even with every normal enemy's attacks that while invincible, kirby can be moved proportional to the weight or strength of the enemy, so stands to reason that the more powerful twisters will only lift kirby. The lava and poison is why I feel like this was thought out much more because like you said against the poison toad kirby doesn't get hit, meaning poison doesn't affect the shield, only his feet, and also explains why dedede's attacks won't hurt until lava is formed under kirby despite the attacks coming from above. As for forgo meta knight? My guess is that he wasn't fully thought out since he was a one time appearing boss added maybe at the end only? But a better theory is maybe the helmet vs the shield. For example, the meteors in the lava levels and the one's elfilis summons from space don't scratch kirby. Why? Fire has nothing to do with it as we've seen. Maybe because the boulders and meteors are falling at an angle, meaning some component of the force is put onto the shield leaving only some for the helmet to absorb the impact. In his guard form, the helmet can be seen being invincible, but to a _degree_ since again, the back of kirby is _sometimes_ protected but with stronger attacks like meta knight's, there is a limit. The helmet will swallow any impact from a minor boulder from above in that sturdy guard move and since kirby can be pushed easily around it. But since forgo MK's meteorites are falling from directly above much larger than any boulder we've seen fall vertically on kirby instead of at an angle, we can assume the shield isn't at all involved with defending him from MK's meteors, meaning the shield takes all the impact. Not only that, but the metoerites unlike the boulders shatter around kirby, meaning mass is distributed around kirby instead of just pushing him out of the way, again like the machines creating a situation where kirby cannot be pushed out of the way with the force with no where to move, but is forced to absorb every bit of it. That just leaves chaos elfilis who I assume due to being large moving with that force leaves kirby in a situation where he can't be pushed out of the way but that's a weaker assumption as we've seen larger objects push kirby, although with much less force and power as chaos elfilis so maybe it makes sense? Or maybe that creates an upwind affect with so much heat that the area is scorched and light is distorted as you'd see in deserts meaning kirby again was pushed up by wind?

I noticed this and tested it on Tropic Wood. Nothing he could do could hurt me and the best part was that the spikes on the shield do a tiny bit of damage to the enemy. This honestly makes me want to see a shield only challenge run of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It would truly be a test of patience and skill because the Tropic Woods fight took me ten plus minutes to beat.

Nin10do I just found a little bug.you need a crash ability and a vending machine. Then, activate the crash. Then, before it runs out inhale the vending machine and then,you won't lose the crash ability

I found 6 things you may have missed in Kirby and the Forgotten Land 1- When Kirby uses the Deep Sleep ability, his pillow lights up, but can only be seen when it’s dark. Try the lightbulb section of Moonlight Canyon. 2- The clock tower of Northeast Frost Street is stuck at 4;27 and you receive 92 star coins for making it there. That’s because Kirby’s Dream Land released April 27, 1992. 3- Phantom Dedede and Phantom Forgo Dedede have slightly different colors. Don’t look at there gotcha figures- look closely at there animations when they are defeated. 4- When Phantom Forgo Dedede jumps to the ledge in the background, you can hit him with sword projectiles, stuff you inhaled, and even with ranger abilities. (The cursor won’t lock onto him, but if you aim for him, you will hit him.) 5- When you use Crash+⭐️ on Forgo Dedede, it will end his first phase automatically, but the gong for when the music tracks transitions fires early, while you use the attack. EDIT: use attack boosts along with Crash+⭐️ to guarantee it works. 6- At Waddle Dee town, if you hit Meta Knight, Dedede, or the Waddle Dees holding food, they won’t react no matter how hard you hit them. They will simply shake a little and continue their animations.

This ability is stupidly op

Fun fact: the giant Chaos Elfilis that appears in the background nd swings a giant spear at you is actually really weak. The spear does not need to be jumped or dodged over, you can just use the regular block and it will deal no damage! Yep, you dont even need the gigant shield. Just do that small block move that regular kirby has and the giant spear will do nothing to you!

I'm not surprised Morpho's tornadoes can hit Kirby. In Star Allies, Morpho EX's tornadoes could mitigate Stone, something very few attacks could do.

So you mean to tell me... the only things that can break Kirby's shield... is a psychic bomb, a black hole... and VORE?! the more you know.

You can swat away(keep it from hitting you if you if you swing away) the giant meteor with the extended Morpho Knight Sword from the final boss as well.

2 questions. Q1: Are all of the experiments shown in the video with the ability powered up, or not? Q2: If not, I wonder if you power up Gigant Sword to the maximum power level, could it possibly change the ending list at 15:05?

I can answer the 1st question. Look at the top of the screen to see if it says: Ability +X or not. If there's a number or star, it's powered up. If not, it's the original ability.

I tried to cheese the chaos elfilis fight with fully the upgraded blizzard ability/shield. All it did was waste all my powerups because shielding wastes time -_- which is also when I discovered that the suction attack gets through the shield. I was finally able to do it with my favorite ability, crystal needle though!

My opinion on the most overpowered copy ability has changed

The unique moves and properties of all the copy abilities are pretty cool alright, it's just too bad that if you actually want to fully complete levels, then you're almost always using the copy abilities the game wants you to, not the ones you want to. That aspect of the design really undermines the point of having so many ability choices in the first place if you ask me.

It can resist everything, but the giant snake enemies, alligator enemies, poison that Kirby walks across, being crushed and squashed, Gorimondo's command grab, Sillydillo's cage attack, Meta Knight's rush attack, where he charges at Kirby, and clash both their swords together, Forgo Dedede's lava pillars and suction, Chaos Elfilis's suction and fire ball attack, and many other things.

I remmeber i had a very succesful true arena run in robobot. I got to haltman and had the mirror ability. And i wondered, hmm can i block this giant laser? I couldn't. My ability flew away and the run was ruined.

The Gigant-Sword guard ability is absolutely busted, but the only problem with it is how slow the sword is at finishing attacks. So, if you get too many hits in and can't cancel them, you can end up taking lots of hits.

I'm now going to use Kirby's Gigant Shield from now on because it's strong!

Tbf, things that dont hit a sheild cannot be blocked by a sheild. Therefore, attacks from below don't count as its the same as if there was no sheild.

With phantom meta knights lava rock attack CRUSHES kirby and that's why kirby gets hurt with that attack

So, essentially if it doesn’t have a command grab, suction or lava/poison effect or it’s Forgo Leon’s shield, Kirby’s shield can and will block it.

In my school vr game it the exact same thing as goalius behemoth shield a massive boost in defence and a buff called fortress where nothing and I mean nothing goes through for a example taking a orbital strike from 25 dainsleth nothing the gundam barbatos lupas rex nothing not even his tail blade massive club and rex nails the gundam gusion rebake full city is something else if you block on his scissor attack it goes to a cinematic where the shield broke the scissor weapon and it really ticks off agihero pilot of the gundam gusion rebake full city and if you gundam iron blooded orphans fans wonder no the fluaros range attacks in embankment mode dose nothing the only attack it get through the shield is the super galaxy cannon and also the harsh Mals tail blade is like the barbatos lupas rex but the blade breaks and for it beam cannon well it's dead no joke the blast goes back at it head destroying it completely and fyi no the plumas don't work and fyi gundam beal gets instantly koed when it attack and fyi the helgrim recar massive sword again like the gusion rebake full city breaks on impact

I think Kirby gets damaged by meta knights rocks because it counts as crushing kirby
