Yes! Thank you, Dave. I subscribed to MailerLite and tried their well-produced, high-production values videos. And promptly got overwhelmed. I am NOT a computer nerd! I loathe the necessity of doing all of this mind-numbing, soul-crushing, tedious, repetitive work. But, to market my book I must. I grit my teeth every time I have to battle my way through some new damned program or app. I HATE having to memorize these stupid user interfaces that are ALWAYS advertised as "completely obvious and intuitive" (the protocols are NEVER intuitive or obvious). A simplified course would help SO MUCH! I don't need to know every intricacy and all of the cool computer-nerd friendly features. I need to know how to set up onboarding automations and send out new book announcements and "tag" my lists so that I don't send my sci-fi stories to my historical readers and vice versa. Well done, Dave. Thanks!

Dave - any suggestions for a good / easy to understand whitelist page or article? Need to update my list one as well, but not sure what is a good one to read or use!

I've used Mailchimp for 7 yrs. never grew that list over 1500 but after watching this I visited your website and signed up with Mailerlite. I think I can use tags to segment. hoping I can automate the tagging, but I guess we really can't can we? I mean I'd love to tag a client when they purchase a certain book and send them down an email sequence to encourage revuews, but there's no way to do that is there?

I do believe the limit on emails talks about the total number of emails sent, right? So if there's a 12k limit on sends, and you're sending to 1k people, that's technically only 12 emails a month, right?

I'm surprised you didn't mention Mailchimp's censoring of what you can mail with their service. Basically, if you have political opinions they don't agree with, they won't let you put that in an email.
