Yeah it's funny how some random dude took a photo of (probably) his office that he just moved into and ended-up starting a whole saga on it.

The backrooms was originally a creepypasta made by a 4chan post made a LONG time ago. It got pretty popular so that's where the games came from. This video just made it sky rocket in popularity. Also there is an exit at level 4000. The worst thing to happen is going to Level Fun. From what I heard anyone who has ever entered that level can never leave and the entities are very dangerous

there are multiple entities in the levels, not just one. And some levels are either safe, there are no entities, or the entities there are passive. Safe meanungnthe entities cannot get to you

@@xtraviation From what I know, or at least what I can recall, there are actually three to [maybe] four OFFICIAL levels in the backrooms. The rest were probably added-in later by fans. The first being Level 0 (or the Ground Level) AKA the "Lobby" (as seen in most of Kane Pixels' first Backrooms found footage video, that Mike is reacting to); which I believe is supposedly the main part of the backrooms. That's the one with the madding yellow color scheme, ugly or even dated wallpaper, and the buzzing florescent lights. It is also the one you are probably the most safe being in (unless if you're Kane, the main protagonist, in this video and end up bumping into one or more of the monsters from other parts and levels of the backrooms, who happen to may be wondering around in the lobby at the time; then you're pretty much screwed).

Fun fact: that guy didn’t fall through at the end. *He was grabbed.* It was his camera that fell.

No, the guy suplexed the monster and kept on venturing around the backrooms.

The Backrooms started about 2-3 years ago by a post on 4chan and people have been expanding on it. Before it was just 1 area but now there are multiple levels. There are multiple canons. These videos aren't related to any other canon and is their own take on The Backrooms. The first canon is the canon that only the first area (Level 0, the original level) is the only true canon level. The 2nd canon is that there are 3 levels (Level 0: Tutorial, Level 1: Habitable Zone, Level 2: Pipe Dreams) are the only canon levels. The 3rd canon is that there are 9 levels to The Backrooms. The level names: Level 0: Tutorial Level/The Lobby Level 1: Lurking Danger (old version)/Habitable Zone Level 2: Pipe Dreams Level 3: Electrical Station Level 4: Abandoned Office Level 5: Terror Hotel Level 6: Lights Out Level 7: Thalassophobia Level 8: Cave System These levels are known as The Main Nine The last and final canon is that all and every level of the Backrooms is canon. If you wanna know more you should read the Backrooms WikiDot and the Backrooms Fandom, but know that the WikiDot and Fandom have different levels

The backrooms is so fascinating to me but also terrifying-

Ironically, the level with the white walls and windows (level 188) is actually far more dangerous than the one with yellow wallpaper (level zero). This short film is the archived version of level zero. The current level zero has no dark or red rooms (red rooms weren’t seen in the animation) or electrical outlets. The current level zero is also devoid of entities as opposed to the archived version depicted in the animation.

Bijuu Mike is now invested in the lore of the backrooms.

So the backrooms is a creepy pasta based on the effect called liminal spaces. Liminial spaces are places that you feel like you've been before but you never have. This is probably why Mike keeps thinking this was in a different video game. This effect is creepy in the way that it takes normal buildings, so average, so unreal and real-feeling that it makes you feel trapped. Have you ever had a dream where you were walking through a crowd of people, but they don't interact with you; no matter what you do? Liminal spaces have the same effect. Add something that's so out of the ordinary into a place that's so infinite and still yet, you're still trapped, then you've got yourself a horror gane.

Sorry to spam the comments; but let me point which level of the backrooms, I can guess, that part of the video is shot in: The first part of the video, after he falls thru (or noclips into) is Level 0, or the ground level; AKA the "Lobby." I believe at the 4:44 minute mark, Kane (the main protagonist in this video) enters Level 1, the part where the lights occasionally flicker and turn on and off. Starting at 5:23 or at least at 5:45 I believe is Level 2, AKA the service tunnels and maybe even the power station (although I think the Power Station might be a fan made level; but I'm not quite sure.) And then he returns back to the ground level or Lobby via a fire exit or stairs at 6:08.

True story but you don't have to believe me : One time me and a bunch of people were crowded next to a door can't remember exactly why but I was directly in front of it and you know some of those handles on doors that are bolted to the door well i was messing with one of the bolts and It nocliped through the door it just telaported about a inch away for were it originally was there's still a place from were it used to be idk if I was just going crazy and it was there all along but whatever happened it wasn't normal none of the wood or paint on the door or handle was damaged (like the place it use to be there was no hole or anything just a clean circle and a bit of rust around it) and the bolt wasn't loose or anything and I actually didn't even see it move I just remember my hand sliding down the handle fast and the bolt had moved anyway it kinda reminds me of the backrooms in a way
