This feels very similar to the labyrinth in the Percy Jackson books. The labyrinth in PC was out to get you, created by one being, could open anywhere and could change at any moment. I suppose it's an old trope (likely dating back to the Greeks if it's in PJ) and a natural one too! The maze as a superhuman entity that "intends" to lead you astray, perhaps add some claustrophobia with the walls closing in on you, surely people would be inclined to anthropomorphize that kind of thing.

I wonder if there's going to be a minatuor as well in these backrooms; which could ALSO be building on the old Greek Myth of the labyrinth on the island of Crees (which also is covered in that one Percy Jackson book), but with a more modern sci-fi twist.

i'd be willing to bet these monsters are dead humans who spent too much time inside the backrooms and were possessed and modified by the fungus to be like monsters, kinda like a parasite

Btw since you were asking mike, the backrooms time and space is slowed down quite a bit, you only have to eat about once or twice a month and it's debatable on whether or not there is canonically an exit (aka people say that there is, some say that there isn't). The backrooms are very similar to SCP and has its own website and reddit threads and etc. If anything, looking there would explain quite a bit. (And also, I'm I forget if you said something about this, but everything is made in blender besides a couple of shots like the opening shot of the first video).

Question and theory for Pacificly the episodes with the space suit people: are they people who have been there longer then others and already know how the backrooms work? Because if you think about it if they've been there longer then most, wouldn't they know that theres something in the backroom that causes people to hallucinate due to some sort of gass or oxyge in the room? That's why they have the suits, I've never seen the websites or anything like that so I'm very curious on how it works ya know lol

@@BigRook101 The "Space Suit People" are people wearing hazmat suits testing if the backrooms are suitable for human life (The Backrooms seem to be made for human storage and extra space for life if space runs out on earth)/if there are missing people there (Due to one of the videos being about missing people). As far as I'm aware, there's also no illusions; everything in The Backrooms happens within its own space time so that means it's possible for someone to warp into one universe while nobody notices (Aswell as time being sped up in one place or slowed down). And the monsters exist as in the final scene of the video labeled "The Backrooms", the person/Filmer of the video gets taken by the monster and the guy's camera falls back into reality. However, I'm not sure about the bacteria/black mold (presented in the missing person's video on the dead man) as it's something I've never seen before, as far as I can tell it can probably either biodegrade already dead people, possibly just infect people, or kills people and turns them into monsters. This might be why the people are wearing the hazmat suits in the video or they're just for general safety for newfound unknown territory.

The way people survive in the back rooms without food is almond water. Almond water basically has the ability to fill needed nutrients and such.

Judging by the fact that the creatures always seem to be traveling alone within the backrooms, I have a theory that the reason you're always supposed to be in a group of three or more is because that's how you can be verified as being human and not one of the creatures trying to escape.

When the guy got separated from his group but there was three of them walking as if nothing happened I thought one of the monsters replaced him and made him go to the backrooms or something, but it seems unlikely the more I think about it. In my opinion it still is a possibility since the monsters have apparently been stuck in the backrooms their entire lives so perhaps when they saw that people were coming in they saw it as a way to get out. Pretty creepy😳

I would love to play a game with backrooms vibes that look realistic but fake at the same time. It would be so cool ngl

Hey Bijuu, I recommend you to watch Mandela catalogue. It’s the same genre as the back rooms, it contains same dreamcore monsters. And its pretty disturbing as the backrooms.

So there are different levels to the backrooms, and that dark area with the axe is another small level.The room where the sirens went off was another level. In the first video when the area got very white with the dumpster and enclosed apartments, that was yet another room. Also there is almond water in the backrooms, that's the only safe thing to eat/drink. It does both.

People think its an original series, tat kane pixels created the backrooms and that the real backrooms is a rip off. People also are confusing the lore of kane pixels' backrooms and thinking its official to the real backrooms.

Here is everything I know about the lore of this series. Async is a government company trying to find a way to save billions of dollars in housing, construction, and storage. They decided to build a portal and make the backrooms to do this. This happened before found footage and everything else. What happened in the third test is that the portal was almost successful but it went away. In first contact, they managed to do it, but it destroyed the facility doing so. It was too dangerous to do. It caused earthquakes all over California. Although they were successful, later events showed us that it opened clip zones where people would fall and be trapped. They sent Async workers in to investigate and make sure it is safe. Little did they know entities lurked in the backrroms as well.

I’m wondering if the dead guy covered in fungus could be the same guy we see get separated from his group. Maybe it’s out of order?

When I was in college I took a really big test to get my certificate. And going into it I took an elevator down to the bottom floor that was half underground and half on ground floor level. Took the three hour test. And when I came out I couldn’t find where I was because I had forgotten that I took the elevator down. I was very confused and very concerned.

Sense I’m pretty sure it is a simulation. There could of been an extra guy because they wanted to test what would happen if they got separated from the group? In the suits you probably can’t recognize each other. For talking they probably don’t know what each person sounds like or the suits could make them sound different.

I'm guessing maybe this company [A-Sync] is beginning to use these rooms (or this dimension) to contain some monster and other secret experiments, similar to the "SCP Foundation" in ways. Also while at the same doing a rescue mission to find all the people who went missing after falling (or no-clipping) thru a rift in reality into the backrooms. That's my theory about this at least.

Part of my theory is the back rooms is… alive. That there is a core and that the way the back rooms would keep itself alive is to pull in people and… drive them insane, kill them of starvation, use the entities to its advantage. FOR FOOD. But it seems like it got weaker, as humans can now walk in at will. Anyone who goes in now… will not come out. The back rooms is weaker, but more viscous. I also believe that the entity in level 0 was a human, but was different in a way. Like he was wanting to come in and die. To be punished. This was before humans had control. He knew. If anyone to blame…. It’s him.

you can find food in the backroomms because there is crates you can find almost anything in them. the most important is almond water and super almond water which you can find in the crates.

there was one part in one of the backroom videos he posted where they talk about researching the backrooms and experimenting in it because they were trying to find a way to deal with over population and people not having a place to live what better than an infinite space of hallways? Either that or initially it started out as what I said it was but they found a creature inside OR they implemented a creature inside to see what's happens loosing more and more of their mission objective

Hello Mike, so you have a little problem with the creatures of the backrooms so im gonna help you a little bit with the creatures. So we have The Smiler which is a creature that Smiles in the dark it can be seen only on the levels and its really aggressive and sometimes turns off the lights. It is atracted to moving light sources. To survive a Smiler attack is to throw a light source at it and run the other way than you threw the light source. It is located on level 1,2,3 And 34. Then we have Howler aka stick creature. Howlers are unseen creatures that let out a howl when someone enters the backrooms. Noone ever seen a howler, though it is known they are provoked by loud noises and howl loudly in response to them. Other entities tend to scatter when howlers are heard, so their howling can be used as an extremely useful mechanism. Some explorers theorize that howlers can be invisible. Howlers can be on level 0 to level 2 and that its in all 7 sublevels which in the last video the 'granny' house was I think sublevel 5 or level 7 named old house. Anyways let's get into the rest of the creatures. Hounds. Hounds are a humanoid acting as a dog with a mouth with jagged teeth. They have long bony limbs, sharp claws and walk on all 4. They are the most Common hostile creature. Hounds are not very smart, and can be easily given a slip, or even momentarily intimidated into backing down if one stares them straight in the eyes. Never get bitten by a hound or you will slowly turn into one. And the other creatures aren't that important

In the backrooms, the time stops, if the time stops you don’t get hungry or thirsty. That’s why people don’t know that you disappeared.

Once when I was 3 I ran away from my parents when we were in a mall because they were ignoring me and I wasn't scared at all but they were panicking. Some random man found me and returned me to my parents, but I didn't wanted to go back to them.

You don't live forever Mike, you slowly die of hunger and of being sleep deprived because you're so tired, but you can't sleep because your so scared. Theory: You are sleeping home alone and something you hear something outside your bedroom door, so you get out of bed and want to investigate but when you open the door, you're in the backrooms you begin to think you are dreaming so you slap yourself it hurts and it's you know it's real, so you start to investigate. Your bedroom door slams behind you and disappears, so you have no way out. Thats the start of the backrooms.

I have a feeling its the partygoers, you become one of them if you no clip in the wrong areas in the ceilings of the backrooms

If I were the guy in the video, if I came upon the axe and the house level I would grab the axe for self defence so that I have something to fight the monster with if it tries to come after me and also use it to break into the house if it's locked to look for resources. You don't know how long you will be in there so it's best to make use of everything you can get
