He's just a human who happens to have a PhD!

@@Muhammed01FI Hmm, but I dont believe there is any indication that the intention is not for the sake of Allahs pleasure. That the prophet is shown your deeds may just act as the final motivation - that one last push - to help you accomplish an ibaadah. I dont think theyre mutually exclusive

Try this method - do wudu Sit on the floor even on a prayer mat Keep your eyes open As you read try to focus on your heart and turn to Allah. Send salutations upon the final Messenger (pbuh). Repeatedly perhaps for 5 to 10 mins initially Then receite First Kalima (Tayyab): Laaa Ilaaha Illa-llaahu Muhammadur-Rasoolu-llaah Another 5 to 10 mins Do it daily if possible and increase the time over time. insha'Allah you'll feel reformed uplifted and alive.

At around the 5min. mark the young guy started to plant the notion that _"they don't know they have the ailment"_ and this reminded me of these verses from the Quran: 7:19 And Adam, you and your wife will live in this garden, and both of you eat whatever you may wish, but do not approach this one tree or you will become unjust." Did Allah tell them why they shouldn't approach the tree? No! But here is the thing... was it their _"spiritual thirst"_ or Satan's evil whisperings putting thoughts into their minds, i.e. telling them things them don't know, that prompted them to defy Allah's command and approached that tree? 7:20 Then, Satan whispered to them to expose their nakedness, which had been hidden from them, and he said, "Your Lord has forbidden you this tree so that you do not become angels or immortal." 7:21 He swore to them, "I am a sincere advisor," 7:22 and he succeeded in deceiving them. As soon as the two had tasted [the fruit] of the tree, their nakedness became obvious to them, and they started covering themselves with leaves from the Garden.Their Lord called to them, "Did I not forbid that tree to you and tell you, 'Satan is your clear enemy?" From the verses of the Quran is it clear that Satan will always try to _invent_ problems/ailments/rituals for you that are NOT supported by the word of Allah. What does the Quran say about _spirituality_ ? 17:85 And they will ask you about the spirit. Say, "The spirit is within my Lord's domain, and you have been given but little knowledge. So, just like the command to *not-to approach the tree* , very little knowledge is made known to us! But the Quran continues with these verses: 17:86 And if We so desired, We could easily take away whatever We have revealed to you, and in that you would not find anyone to plead your case with us 17:87 other than mercy from your Lord, His favor towards you is huge! What is *_revealed to you from your Lord_* and what is *_mercy from your Lord_* ? Before you start listening & believing in misguidance just read the next verses: 17:88 Say, "If all people and all Jinn would band together with the intent of generating the likes of this Qur'an, they, would never be able to come out with anything like it, even if they backed each other up. 17:89 We have mentioned in this Qur'an every kind of example to benefit people. However, most of the people persist in rejecting the truth. Undoubtedly, the Quran mentions every kind of example to benefit people but Satan & his human counterparts would always seek ways to invent problems/ailments/rituals that would NOT benefit you. Think... ponder and reflect on the verses of the Quran. salam.

though i didn't watch the entire discussion on the subject " spirituality " , the issue is if U R thirsty being a spiritual wouldn't eliminate UR thirst unless U drink water # related to materialism there is a hadith narrated by ibn Habban which declares extremely materialistic element & desires behind ISLAM # the Hadith says " Prophet called Amar bin Al Aas عمر و ابن العاص ، & said to him i ( Prophet ) want to send U to a battle where U will get money or material . Amar bin Al Aas said O Prophet i did not accept ISLAM for money !!!!! Prophet said money or material is good for believer " # this Hadith clearly declares that in all the battles of ISLAM ( at the time of Prophet & Companions ) money was the element & desire behind the battles of ISLAM !!!! # 🇵🇰

Spirituality is the life experience and one needs to intend that and work for it with true sincerity. The more you fear God, the more you trust Him. The more you trust God, the more you realise His influence upon you. I have no hesitation to say that there are two spirits work on an individual, one is guiding to good to the Path of Allah and the other tempting to evil way. The individual’s destiny determines his strength of belief /disbelief and his actions good/evil. His destiny is decided by his usage of his faculties of hearing, seeing and understanding either for good or evil. That’s why The Glorious Quran repeatedly asserts that Allah Swt knows what is in our hearts and nothing is hidden from Him in the universe. Therefore we have to keep our hearts pure and free from every evil and impurities so that we deserve Allah’s Swt Mercy and Guidance. When we succeed in gaining His Mercy then we will have good destiny. We thank Br Paul and Sheikh Dr Shadee for their beautiful presentation on the subject and it’s insights. May Allah Swt reward them abundantly with long and healthy life so that more and more people are benefitted. InshaAllah!

Spirituality must be from the actions and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh only. It is the only divine source that brought the message of our Creator. Any innovation in spirituality that the Prophet Muhammad did not do, will never be part of our religion And this is the basic criterion in whether we follow the approach of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh or not Because many inventions in the field of Spirituality appeared from some Muslim sects and we will never do them because they are not from the teachings of our Creator and Prophet Spirituality with which we are reassured and feel its pleasure are the acts of worship such as the regular prayers, the tahajjud prayer, alaistighfar, and righteous deeds such as charity, fasting, reading the Qur’an, serving the needy, and these are the teachings and biography of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh

Following the sunna is a wide term and not as narrowly interpreted by the people of fitna who will not let go these culture wars forever. Spiritual practices that are in conformity with the sunna dont have to be exactly stipulated in verbatim and form. Otherwise The scholars who collected and sifted through the sunna will also be accused of innovation !!. Even if the Prophet (SAW) did not sit with his companions and do dhikr in a group does not mean its not allowed !!

Dr Shadee probably didn't pick up that our beloved host is a Salafi sympathiser like most converts initially are and just like I was when I didn't know anything about the Islamic tradition. Ibn Taymiyyah is a mutakallim (dialectic theologian). Most of his arguments were based on a predisposed opposition to Asharism more than an objective critique of dialectic theology (kalam) itself because his arguments were based on kalam, and even though quite convincing for Muslims, they won't be convincing for non-Muslims.

I dont call myself a salafi but i have to say this, Salafism isn't opposed to kalam. Mohammed hijab, Jake the Muslim metaphysician are all salafi but use kalam quite regularly. It's only certain fringe groups in the salafi movement that does. Paul is well aware of this matter as well.

Br. Ahmed, how did you arrive at the conclusion that Paul is a Salafi sympathizer? Also, there are multiple strains of Salafism - Muhammed Abdul, Rashid Rida camp, who are quite broad in their understanding - and the Saudi Salafism, which is narrow and rigid in it's interpretation. Ibn Taymiyya is well respected jurist and doesn't fall into the Saudi Salafism mold.

Quite an insightful discussion that I think would be beneficial for many to watch. I must, however, say that Dr. Elmasry is in error in the opinion that mere chanting of a prophet’s name brings blessings. No such reference could be found anywhere in the Qur’an or the authentic reports of the Prophet (p) (this should not be confused with having love for a Prophet). In fact, such a reference is not expected. All Prophets teach uncompromising monotheism since human beings have a propensity to easily fall into saint worshipping, grave worshipping, hero-worshipping, personality cults, and so on. Quite the contrary, the teachings of all the Prophets, and that includes Jesus’ authentic reports in the Gospels, focused on giving reverence to God, and God only. How could one then interpret the dream that Dr. Elmasry attempted to explain? Many in the past have resorted to “personal visions” in order to gain authenticity, but even without calling this a fabrication, there are legitimate ways it can be explained. Out of the three types of dreams, as al-Ghazzali said, true vision is only one type. Another source is the human psyche itself that draws from stress, current thoughts or events that affect him. And the final type is inspiration from the satans who deliberately mislead people or enjoy disturbing them (scary dreams, etc.). Dreams, by its very nature that it is a personal experience that is unverifiable, cannot be used as a basis of any serious academic conversation, much less in deriving rulings. Hence, Muslim scholars have unanimously agreed that dreams, even by a most pious saint or a most knowledge scholar, cannot be used as evidence, which only comes from what is publicly established and evident. May I also add that exorcism of demons were and are done not just by reciting the Qur’an but also by Christians, pagans and polytheists who utter things that are clearly blasphemous and abhorrent that go against the teachings of all the Prophets. Such successes do not prove anything. We know very little about how the demonic world works, but this much is pretty obvious: just like a miscreant human being can desist his criminal activity in reaction to fear, threat or other not-so-legitimate factors, so can a demon. Like humans, demons (i.e., jinns) have intellect, vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and propensities that are part of being a creation with a free will.

Paul had to reel dr. Shade in and- shifting the focus on unity and the threat of the “Alphabet gang’s” agenda 👏🏼 rather than the Dr.’s emphasis on Salafi bashing …I found this a very bias conversion on Shade’s part, can’t say I benefited unfortunately. But I love this channel and will always continue to watch everything I can on it!

He was not bashing. He was presenting facts in a detached manner. So-calles Salafi are not knowledgeable in terms of spirituality and incapable to answer attacks from philosophers.

That the brain can heal certain things does NOT mean it caused the condition to begin with -- that's a HUGE logical error. Hope based on belief is what we call a placebo, and they all work better than nothing to heal someone, whether a sugar pill, a magic spell, or a religious prayer. This is why doctors want to know a person's beliefs, and encourages them. It does not follow that lacking belief causes a placebo not to work, but belief CAN make it work vs nothing. Any chant, any prayer, any koan, any meditation has an extremely high probability of helping someone relax & become tranquil. Even just visualizing a ray of sunshine beaming down on one's head changes people's blood pressure. The miracle is not in any scripture, charm, prayer or belief. It is in the human mind.

kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJaAp8hteLWdZKg.html. Many thanks for a great discussion. Loved it thoroughly. Just as an example on how to conduct an experiment, is the link above about happiness. I hope this helps. As regards to the use of Jesus's name, might be that he was using it as a name of God and not as a prophets name. So acknowledging God in sum way. Stay blessed and happy, always 🤲
