Since I have been using Argan Rain Shampoo I have noticed a significant improvement in the health of my scalp. I have tried a different products in the past which did not work well. I can tell that this product impress me a lot, I am using it according to the instructions and I truly like how it works. I recommend it!

I have 4, different textures on my head, seriously. I pay no mine to that hair typing chart. In the beginning I too was trying to figure out what box I fit in, not anymore. I've learned to just embrace my hair and love whatever it does. Great video, thanks.

I found that this video was very helpful. I use to be so obsessed about my hair type and wonder why God didn't bless me with a certain hair type. Now I do not care what my hair type is. I just care about the health of my hair. I have been a subscriber of yours for at least four years. You have showed me how to do a protein and elasticity treatment. I have went to your blog and followed your monthly hair routine. And you have and will always be my hair crush, lol. I want to congratulate you on your growth, successes and your new hair salon and the many more blessings that God has in store for you.

Thank you for sharing. Hair care has become so complicated. As a child, my mom never thought about the porosity, density, elasticity, texture, or pattern of my hair. Lol. She kept my hair and scalp clean. She ensured that my hair was looking good all the time. And my hair thrived. My mom always stressed that we not play in our hair. Hair care was simple.

I agree! I have multiple textures in my hair (did a porosity test) and realized that I just needed to learn MY hair. I have read a lot and watched informative videos, such as yours, about hair texture. This is what lead me to realize that trying to type my hair was not useful for me. Nothing wrong with using the chart, it just wasn't right for me.

When I started watching your videos almost a year ago my hair was too trained from getting pressed often and I wasn't using the right products to preserve my natural curls. After taking your advice on experimenting with different products until I found the right ones to use at the right times my hair has become so much more healthier and it's all curly now (of course I had to cut off the damage). Thanks to your advice my hair is truly at it's full potential! It's longer and thicker. You are amazing!

I just learned about your channel when I picked up my prescriptions at CVS the other day. They all know me by name but 1 of the girls asked me how I liked a hair care product I was purchasing and we talked for 15 min about deep conditioning and shared products we liked and didn't like. She told me you were the best one out here and that your videos were informative. I've become overwhelmed with all the videos and the money I'm spending on products. I'm confused on my hair type and have quickly learned that 4c doesn't help me really care for my hair. I've done the float test but I'm doing it again tonight so I can test different strands. I believe it's low perosity but not sure on the the rest. I asked er to write down your info and here I am!! Thank you for your professionalism and easy to understand explanations. I'm here to soak up everything I can from you.

Thank you so much for this extremely educational video! Funnily enough, I came across your channel while looking up the hair type chart on NaturallyCurly! I was trying to find answers to the very questions you answered so articulately in this video and learned even more factors that I wasn't aware of! I was beginning to think I was the only person in the world whose hair didn't fit into the chart categories and I've been natural for over 10 years! My absolute favourite takeaway from this video is when you said that products are based on the result you want. YES! I have never heard this said before, ever, but oh, how true it is!! Thank you so much and so glad to have found your channel!

I don't want to me in a box. Hi Mo. All the information you gave is SPOT ON. Overtime I've found out my density, porosity, thickness and hair elasticity and it has changed how I care for my hair. My hair is healthy. I know how to manipulate it and what products to choose to get the look I want. I don't need the LOC method. Steaming and elasticity treatments are what made a total transformation in my hair. People really have been needing this information. Thank you for putting it out there!

Girl!!!!! Thank you. I am a former cosmetologist and you stated what I have been trying to tell people. Hair, location, environment, water and diet influence hair. My hair when I live in IL is different than now in NC. My curls are looser in Midwest. In south it frizzed and the water is hard and I have ¾ shrinkage versus ¼ in Midwest. So many factors play a role.

MO! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! This information is going to help so many people. My Mother is a cosmetologist so I've been hip to the things you're addressing here all my life. Milady's was one of the first books I read.

Thanks for the info Mo. Mo thank you for just sharing your knowledge with us. I have learned so much from you over the past year. I actually transitioned my daughter with your help. I actually did not know you should use a leave-in- conditioner, or to even deep condition. I now know how to properly care for my two girls and my own hair. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

    1. Your videos brighten my day. 2. They are also extremely helpful. After finding your KZread account I kind of binge watched. My hair has been my blessing and my curse. I had so many products in my closet that did not work. I threw everything out. Went to Aveda and threw myself on the mercy of the hair people. I didn't buy a ton, just the Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner, which were AMAZING. My new goals are to attempt a wash-n-go that I can keep for longer than 2 days. I skeptical. But I did manage to get the Soft Sheen Carson steam line that is discontinuing to give my hair some good treatment. Thanks for your videos! I hope at some point I am up NYC and able to make an actual appointment. :)

@moknowshair Since subscribing to your channel I have watched my natural hair transform from dry and brittle to very soft and manageable. I never use to style my hair but now I can. I have high porosity hair type 3 sum 4 sum I'm still not sure however, I've given myself the APHogee Protein treatment and my hair was softer and stronger immediately. 3 Wks. later I went in with the Curlific Texture Treatment and WOW! I also started using the restructuring spray. You have really helped me begin to love my hair and try new styles. I'm not as long as other naturals but my journey is my own and since finding your channel it seems almost second nature. THANK YOU!!!

Thanks for this video Mo! I've recently went natural ( 8 months ago) and have NEVER been so confused with all the 'natural' rules/charts. I remember as a child I had the MOST THICK, LONG, Healthy HEAD OF HAIR and my mother did not follow a chart nor did she invest in a lot of products to maintain my hair! Bottom line I use 3 products: H20, Coconut Oil/My body butter that I created and MAYBE a curl styler and this works for me! I'm so OVER all the confusion! Thanks for your videos YOU ROCK!!

Hi Mo, you gave a lot of really good information that made sense. I finally think I've got it. I did my big chop before last Christmas. Now I rock an afro, but wanted more curl pattern. I think the moisture hood will do it. Once my hair is wet it takes forever (approx. 3 hours ) to dry. Thanks again.
