Conditioners & Treatments: How to Choose What's Best For You!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

There are so many amazing conditioners and treatments available to keep your hair healthy and manageable, but because there are SO many, choosing what's best for your hair can become a difficult task. In this tutorial, I explain the language associated with conditioners and show you some of my favorites to help you better understand what you are looking at when selecting for yourself.
At moknowshair.com/conditioners, you will find lists of conditioners and treatments categorized based on hair needs, but listed in no particular order. "Curl type" or "pattern" is not relevant in selection of conditioners, as the conditioner does not know what kind of curl you have; they are made to solve a need. Of course there are many more great options out there. The ones listed are based on my preferences and experiences using them on myself and others.
If you are struggling with product selection and creating a hair care routine that works for you, Hair Regimen Coaching could help! See moknowshair.com/appointments for information and scheduling.

Can we call your talks "Mo-ments"? Lol very informative as always. Can you do a video on how to recognize which chemicals in products are not harmful for our hair? The first thing we think when we see an ingredient with a name we can't pronounce is that its bad for our hair, but that isn't the case.

This was pretty helpful. I kept ignoring the fact that my d.c. has words that allude to it being a protein treatment rather than strictly moisturizing, and I just don't do enough to need so much protein. I'll definitely get it sorted out soon so thanks for that. :p Also, it would be cool if this was a start to a series of videos that covered how to choose shampoos, leave-in conditioners (liquids, creams, butters), and styling products (including heat protectants). I know you've touched a bit on all of these in various videos but it might as well be new and all together.

Yesss!! With these pearls of wisdom!! Thank you so very much for this educated information... learning the difference moisturizing & protein based repair conditioners is exactly what I needed. I never understood why my hair was brittle and hard after using repair conditioners....I thought my hair was damaged because it was dry... all I probably needed was just more moisture!! Gees!! I will definitely pay attention to labels now. Also thanks for the coconut oil side note... it never worked for my hair anyway. This was a gold mine video for me.

All that I can say is....sighing and a respectful bow...thank you! Most of the natural products most naturals can use just do not work for me. I've found that reading what the product says it does helps me instead of just trying stuff bc everyone else is raging about it. Tresemme does wonders and it's in my budget and I love Aveda products when I want to splurge. Praise the Lord Chicago has an Aveda school. This is good information. Bless you ❤️
