That was exactly what I guessed at the start! 😀 And when she did her dance, I was pretty sure it was TikTok which she have been addicted to. Many kids uses this app nowadays, too. 😊

@@carat9014 Yeah I have seen a lot of younger kids usually from either Japan or South Korea doing these sort of hand dances. I also understand when she said she does a lot of them videos because i've realized they usually do a lot of the same stuff.

This poor kid can't express her hurt at being abandoned by her parents, so she numbs herself by using her smartphone. (Can't even remember their faces????) She need to talk to a REAL counselor who can help her deal with her feelings. Grandparents love her, but she is afraid to express her feelings, and worries that she will lose them too, if they die, then she will have no one. Kids are always the ones who get hurt in this kind of situation.

I think all the kid needs is to socialize. Even though they are at home with her, the grandparents don't do it much. The kid was delighted when the information about the dance club and English class was read to her. I hope she learned not to tell people too much (the incident with the pedophile). Loneliness leaves you vulnerable to sex predators and con artists.

i think the granddaughter should appreciate her grandma more.... and i hate that she gets mad at her when shes crying and is rude when they ask her to turn her phone down at night..... a lot of kids grow up in similar situations, but she is blessed with good grandparents. they are spending their last years taking care of her. i dont think she gets how old they are yet. I understand because she is so young, but still.... and shes giving her number out online which is concerning

However I not only have a soft spot for kids but I do for the elderly as well since I was also raised by my grandparents. I know I seemed like I was blaming the kid for her attitude issues but I know she’s so so young and it is not her fault for how she’s behaving . It’s completely the parents fault . The grandparents are tired and already doing as much as they can so it breaks my heart to seem them struggle to raise their grandkid. I may have sounded harsh but at the end of the day it is true that a lot of kids go through hardships at a young age, but it doesn’t make it okay to lash out on the ones there to help. She does need help to break out of her negative mental state but it won’t happen overnight. I’m not blaming her for lashing out but she is . And the only people I blame are her parents.

This girl is hurting bcs she want to have the same love as her peers which is love from her parents. Which i do understand why shes acting like that. I do think that the grandparents are spoiling her as well bcs she really talks back her grandmother which i really mad when she does that. But it is all bcs she needs love and attention but i still think she wants people to understand her and not the other way. This whole story makes me cry bcs i could relate it

Woah sorry but why having kids if you're gonna leave them, what are they doing anyways that they can't take care of one daughter, it really pisses me off, this poor girl is suffering from loneliness she needs to get therapy ASAP, I truly hope she can overcome this and live a happy life

@@kiim_sunny6997 Well if that's the case it's sad, I know Korean dads might not be the most expressive people in the world nor have a lot of free time but not having time to answer 1 letter from your only daughter once in a while it's really bad

I am upset over how she hates to cry/see her grandma cry it's like she thinks it's bad however I think she should just cry it out, its one way of letting out her trapped emotions of being lonely and abandoned.

Her mom in her dreams has no face, gosh this crowd has no idea how mentally mature she is however how her parents hurt her. She loves her grandparents to death. What an incredible kid

She is a smart girl that knowing what's going on in that studio, understand her grandparents concern. She love her grandparents too, you can see by how she got upset when see grandmother start to cry or want to play with them sometimes. She just feel lonely without her parents presence, their love and try to find a way to kill that feeling. Really hope for her to not change in the wrong path and soon realised what she need to do to make her grandparents happy :)

i understand her tbh, I'm 17 now and i've been addicted to computers and cellphones since i was 10, there is a lot of trash in the internet but i also learned a lot too and now i don't use as much as i used to in the past, she will learn how to control herself as she grows older, our generation is struggling because we were literally born with these devices on our faces and there's so much technology that some ppl don't know how to deal with that, this girl seems very mature i'm rooting for her!

Not only does she need to go to a REAL counselor, but I think the grandparents should think about putting in dance classes. She seems to like dancing and it could be a stress reliever. It could take her focus off of her phone and on to something more satisfying.

This is what sunmi tried to express through noir. She needs love and attention because she hasn’t been getting it where she needs most. So she’s constantly risking it through social media. Making her join all the clubs and stuff will help time go by as she does interesting things but it will still leave her heart empty because those things are only activities they don’t give her love. They don’t make her feel loved that’s why she’s still hesitant to give up her phone.

There are things like going out for movies with parents, going to amusement parks with parents, going to eat out with your parents . Then there are school functions to which parents are invited and all the other stuff children do with their parents. She sees her friends doing all these things but she can't. Her grandparents love her a lot , they love her more than anything else. But as human beings we make separate relationships with separate people. Her relationship with her parents is not there. She must be hurting so much. Grandparents are old and they can't have the same energy as parents. She is mature and Intelligent. But she is still just 11 years old .

If it gets to a point where you abandon your kid to the point where they can no longer remember your face then you need to rethink your priorities.

She's just somewhat lonely as she doesn't get any attention as she needs which is quite saddening. So she plays with her phone to distract her boredom.Well, hello counselor gave great suggestions in order to help her to engage in some enjoyable activities rather than playing with her phone all day long which is quite good! ^^

Why aren’t her parents taking care of her it’s not her grandparents responsibility to raise their child especially if they both have full time jobs if they can work and take care of her why can’t her parents??? Also being alone at home all day is boring for a child.

It’s actually pretty normal for grandparents to help raise children in Asian cultures. I don’t think it’s normal AT ALL that she doesn’t seem to see her parents to the point where she can’t remember her mom’s face tho. That just sounds like the parents couldn’t care less and didn’t really want a kid but ended up having one so they left her with the grandparents :( Very sad. Any parent who really loved their child, busy or not would make some kind of effort to visit their child or have the child live with them on or off

@@spyingonchanyeol7605 That's just an excuse my parents work everyday from 8am to 8pm and sometimes to nights when there are emergencies but still have time to take care of us when they could, they were absent a lot but I'm thankful they have work that they love and I would have felt worse if they just straight up gave up on raising us because of their jobs.

I think this story is just so sad at some point. the girl is abandoned when she was young which she cant even rmmber her parents face. maybe, she is turning to became a brave and cold-hearted child as she grew up and begins to understand reality. that's why she might don't want to show her bad side to anyone and even doesn't want her grandma to cry infront of the camera. I hope she learns to express her feelings and learn to love herself as well as the people around her.

I am literally crying for this grandma; she has children who have abandoned their kid (and probably her as well) a granddaughter that is just sooooo ungrateful and beyond rude, and she can't even enjoy and relax for the last years of her life. The grandma really is going through an awful time and I can understand why she is constantly crying, imagine being stuck in a miserable world and you see no way out of it. Hopefully the granddaughter grows up soon and starts to take care of her grandparents and shows them some love back.

She's going through her own things. Yes she isn't respectful all the time. But she's a child going through a tough time. Your acting like she's a teen she's a kid. Like every kid is always nice.

as a haneul, i fell bad to sungwoonie and the girl bc they experienced the same thing, I can really understand that because i didnt meet or see even my father. Actualy i dont really think about him now but now that my bias misses her mom makes me feel hurt. the grl needs some help really if i am living in korea then i can be her friend bc i know what she is feeling. right now i had stop skin my mom where my father is cause i know she wont really answer. i wish her grandparent will live longer so they can see her be successful. For me i have moved on already ithink just wanna wish that sungwoonie's grandfather would live for many more years.:)

that's the thing when a person has something or someone that is so available to them and there, they misuse or mistreat them because they are always there. why do you think most families have stupid arguments all the time but then once someone moves out all the sudden the relationship a little different. sadly this girl is only 10 years old and not completely mature enough yet to understand the concept that her grandparents won't be around for her that long. also might i add, typically 10-13 years old really have an attitude problem, it is not just her. trust me, i interned at schools and was around children these age. so combined with the fact that she is slowly hitting that weird growing stage in her life with the fact of her parents..it's going to be messy ride on that emotional development of this child. hopefully because of this experience, she learned something about herself and how to behave and what appreciate.

She is very mature for her age and she is also very hurt and dissapointed in her parents. I can see she cares about her grandparents but at the same time she is going through puberty and is the time where you rebel and end up fighting with your family a lot . I can feel she is closing her heart little by little and she is addicted to her smartphone and using it to escape reality. The reason why she cares so much about the hearts and comments is probably because she doesn't have attention from her parents. Her grandparents also spoil her too much so they should be more firm with her. I feel sorry for both .

She can't get attention from her parents, so she gets that attention on the internet. Where are her parents? If they can't take care of a child, they should have think about having one before. A child is a lot of responsability. The worse is that they not even bothered to go to the show.

I was thinking the exact same thing. She doesn't have the attention from her parents so posting her videos and getting hearts and comments on them is a way of feeling validated and she can feel like she matters in this world even if it is just to a bunch of strangers online.

what worries me is that the trolls will find her account and start commenting mean things every time she makes a post. that happens whenever someone comes on this show with a social media type of addiction

The issue about the cellphone is just an effect of what is the deeper problem, in which i believe the neglect that the little girl receives from her own parents, she needs love and belongingness and she found her worth in the number of likes and follows she receives in social media...her guardian failed in understanding her need for love and because of that she now has formed a mask to protect herself and what’s worst is that she is planting hatred/anger. I wish she could talk to someone and learn to forgive and that she will not grow with a heart full of hate and resentments.🙂

I can relate to her because I'm in the same situation. My parents are divorced so I always stayed at my grandparents house when my dad went to work for a few months, but now I live here... But at least I go to a psychiatrist and I try to spend more time with my family you know? They won't be with me forever.. She is still young so she might feel like she isn't getting enough from her grandparents, but these feelings grow from the lack of parental love... She seems really indifferent about her parents but I'm sure she misses them deep down

When parents of grand parents insist that I am sacrificing myself just for you and your better life over tears, that attitude also makes negative effects on the children as they would feel they are obligated not to dream of what they really want as their life is built on the sacrifice of the grand/parents. I understand why the panels try saying not to cry to the grand mother.

Damn I didn't have a phone before I was 12, and all I could do on that phone was text, call and play games like pacman. Times are changing at a fast pace, I'm only 19. I distracted myself in different ways than this kid, but I feel for her eve though she spends time on her phone while I read books and went for runs and screamed into the forest. But distraction is just a way of ignoring a problem, instead of actively dealing with it. Children aren't able to regulate their own emotions, that's the job of an adult. She should see a counselor

I know that this girl is really hurt by being alone. I've been in that situation before when I was a kid. Just exactly like her story but my grandmother doesnt like me. I was beaten sometimes by her. But I never been rude to her even up until today. At the age of 25 y/o now, I still scared if people want to scold me. I still traumatized. My advise to this little girl is that please appreciate every single person in your life. Trust me you will be a better person in the future. Sebagai seorang anak yang tumbuh besar ditemani smartphone, aku relate banget sama adik ini. Kalau dia merasa kesepian karena kakek nenek bekerja dan jauh dari orangtua, aku kesepian karena orangtuaku akan lebih fokus ngurus adik adikku yang masih kecil. Ga banyak yg bisa diajak main dan mainpun entah main apa. Sampe rumah juga langsung kerjain pr dan bantu ngurus adik. Jadi smartphone adalah satu-satunya hiburan buat aku, dan jelas sampai kecanduan ga bisa lepas dari smartphone. Satu satunya solusi menurutku adalah soal waktu. Seiring waktu, adik ini pasti ngerti batasan dengan sendirinya. Sampe sejauh apa dia harus main, selama apa, dan apa aja yang harus dia jauhin selama main smartphone. Aku terharu betul waktu dia excited pas dikasih tau beberapa aktifitas alternatif yang bisa dia lakuin sebagai pengalihan dari smartphone. Andai itu terjadi di aku dulu, aku juga akan seneng banget punya banyak aktifitas kelas atau les. Tapi sayangnya orangtua ya dulu ga setelaten itu untuk cariin aku aktifitas, juga ditambah didaerahku gak ada kelas semacam itu. Sekarang adik ini pasti udah gede. Semoga apa yang kamu cita-citakan tercapai perlahan, dan kakek nenek sehat selalu❤

I uderstand the girl more cause i feel the damn same. I am only 1 year older than her but i have nobody and i live alone(?). My parents are in a different country and they are nevet with me. I got addicted to my phone. It numbs my feelings and loneliness. Because of it i have depression. Thr girl doesn't say anything cause she feels everyone will help her cause they feel pity on her

She has an addiction. The outside world doesn't interest her or makes her happy anymore,so she likes to escape into the one thing that gives her pleasure. Internet/Phone addiction is kind of like any other addiction, once you start and experience a level of entertainment from it they will find it difficult to get rid of esp for people who don't have a life outside their phones. Even when things become interesting outside their phone they won't budge. The problem arises when and if it affects her studies later on because if its an addiction the intensity will only increase if no control is maintained.
