Can you do a video on exact setup with the internet gateway and the t501l5 and Myq

Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and respond to comments! I have this model (5.0) as well as a Liftmaster Elite Logic 4.0 Commercial opener that I need to add to myQ as well. Do I need two of the 828LM's or something completely different to add them to my existing myQ account?

Your welcome! Thanks for watching. One gateway (828LM) will suffice for multiple devices within range. The Logic 5 operator will sync up no problem through the gateway. On the Logic 4 (L4) operator you will need an additional accessory, the 821LMC-S this will allow you to connect as the L4 operators do NOT have MyQ built-in. You will also need to have safety sensors connected on the L4 operator for it to work as MyQ does not support constant pressure to close. Thanks for the video. Just a quick question. I have a garage with 5 bays each with a Liftmaster 5.0 MyQ. What would be the best remote opener solution so that I am only opening the desired door not all of them? I was not sure if the digital 1 button would work or if I needed to use the 811lm. Thanks for watching. If I understand correctly, it sounds like someone programmed all five doors to one remote. If you are looking for a one remote solution the closest your going to get is a the 894LT remote which is a 4-button otherwise you could do the 891LM and have one remote for each or two 893LM 3-button remotes. Another option would be the MyQ app and use your phone assuming you have internet and it reaches these operators, plus you would need the bridge or gateway to connect the operators to your network. It doesn't matter if you run digital or analog. The analog (dip switch) remotes are typically a bit cheaper. Hope that helps.

Also, is this commercial door opener considered a “yellow button” device?

Can you use a universal dip switch remote on the logic 5.0 and if so where about on the unit can you find what position the dip switches are in

Thank you. 877LM is the ideal model if you don’t need a commercial keypad. Otherwise you can use the 877MAX or its replacement the 878MAX. The KPW5 & KPW250 are commercial keypads that are also compatible.

Can you tell me if the 889lm is compatible with a T331L5 E79930? This is for an installed operator that has a 3 button control (PBS-3) wired to it. I'm interested in replacing the PBS-3 with a 889lm and adding an 828lm. Is this possible/advisable with my operator, and can I repurpose some of the PBS-3 wires to connect an 828lm? If I install an 828lm, can it (or myQ app) be used for programming remotes? I'm interested in other features of the 889lm, but programming remotes without using a ladder and opening the operator cover is one of the main features I'm interested in.

The 889LM wall control is not compatible with the Logic 5 operators, just residential units. The Logic 5 operators have MyQ connectivity built-in, you would just need the 828LM to connect to your network. As for programming remotes from the floor - This can be done with the 3-button station you currently have if you choose to set it up. See owners manual under "Programming Remote Controls". Not sure what other features your interested in utilizing on the 889LM but the operator has a timer to close as well as a hold open feature built-in. Unless you have Liftmaster lighting control the motion sensing lights and light on/off button would be useless as the commercial operators do not have lighting circuits built-in.

It/they would need to be programmed. Every HomeLink is a little different so I would recommend following the program instructions from the vehicle owners manual. As far as the door operator side, I suggest the same if you are not familiar with the procedure. Manuals are available online if you do not have one. Good Luck!

I have a LiftMaster Logic 5.0 Security + 2.0 myQmanufactured 7/2/2018. When the door is up, it remains up about 13-15 seconds before it begins to come down. Is there a way for me to adjust that interval for a greater time? Is there a manual on-line or in print that i can get? Thank you.

I'm trying to program the HomeLink in my 2018 Dodge Charger to this operator in my new apartment complex. I'm assuming this is a rolling-code garage door opener, but I can't find the Learn button anywhere on the unit. I looked near where the antenna wire comes out and there doesn't appear to be any buttons there or anywhere else on the unit.

Contact the management company for the complex to see if they allow it and if so they can schedule the door service company to come out and do it. There is the possibility that you could delete all residents remotes in the process of programming your car. Depending on the remote setup that could be a disaster given the logistics of collecting all residents remotes, reprogramming and redistributing and the time it takes to do so. Not sure how big the building/garage is but it could be a very costly mistake. Sorry I can’t be of more help, I’ve seen the aftermath of residents tampering first hand.

So I successfully programmed a 375UT but have been unable to link up a second one. I’ve replaced it once and still no luck. Any idea what I can do to get a second one hooked up?

If I'm understanding correct, I would double check your programming method. You should be able to program dozens of remotes to the on-board receiver. It sounds like your clearing the board every time you program a remote so the last remote programmed is the only one that works each time. Do NOT hold the program button on the receiver, it clears the receivers memory.

Does the internet gateway enable the smartphone app to open and close the doors at specific times by day of the week ?

Unfortunately the MyQ app does not have an option for programming open/close schedules. Liftmaster has a commercial "product" that works with commercial operators and has more functionality, one of the features allows you to schedule the door to open and close automatically, I believe this has a monthly subscription fee. The other alternative would be an access control system. Either of these options would be for a commercial application.

Is it possible to program a car homelink to the Logic 5.0?

As long as you have HomeLink 4.0 it is directly compatible. If you have an older version of HomeLink you would need the repeater or recently renamed the bridge - it’s a plug-in module that receives the old security + 315mhz frequency and relays it to the new security + 2.0 which is the built-in receiver in the logic 5 operators.

Logic 5 operators do NOT have built-in Wifi so you will need a Liftmaster Internet Gateway. Once you have the Gateway installed/setup and the app setup you can add operators to your MyQ account.

Wish they would let commercial door openers be controlled in co-owner mode on the my-q app!

Is there a commercial grade, wired keypad that will work with these openers?

American Access Systems makes a decent wired keypad. Not sure what model would suit your needs but they have several options. securitybrandsinc.com/product-category/keypads/ Pretty much any wired keypad will work with Liftmaster commercial operator units.

Limits are independent of the logic board so no, you don’t need to re adjust. As for the “stop” if you are referring to a mid stop then yes, you need to reprogram the mid stop.

Programming properly will not delete anything assuming the memory isn’t full. Where you run into trouble is when you don’t know what your doing and you do it wrong or do something you shouldn’t have done.

I’m getting a key pad. I plan to open the garage opener up which is the same one in your video. Do I just push the radio/learn button to program? The Directors say yellow button.

@@DanielMcCluskey4life You should always refer to the owners manual for programming instructions. Sounds like you bought a residential keypad. Without model numbers for the keypad and operator I really can’t say for certain especially if your using a universal keypad as there are so many different models and manufactures of universal equipment.

I figured it out by videos on KZread and programmed it. Worked perfectly. The trick On this model is you have to click the learn button once to get into learn mode and click 2 times to get back out of learn mode after programming is complete.

Whenever I try to close my door. It stops after a little bit. Then after trying to close it again, it will go back by itself and try to close. I have to press stop to keep it from going all the way. Door still eventually closes. But is a massive inconvenience. Please help

I assume this is a commercial door operator. Could be a misaligned photo eye, bad wire, bad connection. Its also possible the clutch is slipping or the RPM sensor is dirty or malfunctioning. Without a model number and more specific info regarding the symptoms as well as knowing what accessories are connected its really hard to say. If you hold the close button can you get it to close ? (hold close button, may take several seconds for the door to begin moving, continue to hold close until door stops in the closed position). If the door stops mid travel while holding the close button its likely not photo eye related. Does the door roll ok manually ? A broken spring on the door can cause the door operator to function erratically, although there may not be anything wrong with the operator however its safety inputs are telling it to stop or reverse because of the underlying door problem. If its anything more than a photo eye issue I would suggest calling a professional.

@@firstclassgaragedoor6471 yes it is attached to a massive garage door for the Marina I work at. We have called several people about it and nothing has worked so far. I am unsure if there is a photo eye on our model. We have a Logic 5.0, Security 2.0. Big red box attached to our door with a bunch of lights inside the box. While are always going off and on while our door malfunctions.

@@samsawyer5358 Id be happy to try and trouble shoot it but doing it through KZread comments and without specific and detailed information, it will be next to impossible. Unfortunately some of these issues are tough enough to diagnose in person or over the phone with an experienced door tech even with replacement parts on hand, let alone this way. I need the exact door size and type (preferably the make and model) and confirmation of whether or not the door is in good working order. I also need the exact model number of the door operator (Logic 5, Security +2.0 is not the model) as well as the manufacture date and I would need to know what if any accessories are connected to it. If you do not have to hold the close button to close the door normally then you have photo eyes connected to the operator. Whether the safety sensors are installed properly and in the correct location is another question, but also relevant. Not sure where you are located but if you want to give us a call we are available 8am-5pm CST, M-F. It may be a little easier that way.
