What is it? (Parallel Eye)

Фильм және анимация

This is a Single Image Random Dot Stereogram (SIRDS)
to be viewed with the parallel-eye technique.
I made a tutorial for - cross-eye - viewing here:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBa-bC...
Parallel eye is basically the same, just look through the screen, not in front of it. You can also find a cross-eye version of this movie here:
• What is it? (Cross Eye)
It was very hard to get this online in 720p... Obviously KZread did have problems in converting this file. I am still not satisfied with the quality, but I admit these patterns are death for any compressor.
If you did not succeed, or you are unable to see 3D due to eye disabilities, you can find the solution here:
• Video
Important: Although it is a myth that your eyes can get stuck, it surely is not healthy for your eyes if you stress them too much. Be aware of any symptoms of that. Pain in any form is a good indicator.
Epilepsy Warning:
Some people are susceptible to epileptic seizures or loss of consciousness when exposed to certain flashing lights or light patterns. This may happen to you even if you have had no previous medical history of epilepsy or seizures.
If you, or a member of your family has ever had symptoms relating to epilepsy (loss of consciousness or seizure) when exposed to flashing lights, you should not view these animations.

Did I confused myself (or my eyes) with Cross and Parallel? If Cross is "looking at the two dots and bringing them together in the middle, then shift the eyes' focus to the stage", then what is Parallel? How come I viewed this video perfectly with the Cross Eye technique, while the other one was less clear?

The difference between cross-eye and parallel-eye is that the background layer in parallel overlaps the thing you are trying to see while cross eye is vice versa

@@HueHanaejistla Damn, what a throwback. I just sat for ~1h to try and do it again. Now I realize it's ofc not about resolution.. it's about screen size. I managed to finally do it on my 27inch anyway! Seeing her while the window is small is now easy. But viewing it in fullscreen was super hard... Maybe I had a 24inch back then? Anyway, I had to basically go from a small chrome window -> drag it out to full screen while not loosing vision & then struggle with regaining vision while toggling to fullscreen. But I managed! Now my eyes hurt a little, so you're probably right; they're not parallel they're likely looking outward. Probably not recommended lol.

Never got anywhere with the cross eyed techniqe, nor with the tracmania 2 fail video, but I got this within two minutes! Trying crosseye was tiring and disturbing but this is much more comfortable, beware not trying too hard. The right spot is just behind the screen, really close to that. Focus on the screen then release your eye muscles a bit, like when relaxing. Don't expect to see exactly what you can see in the solution, just a box-like room and the dancer made from falling dots as in matrix.
