That's the best crossed eye video on KZread. Your video quality is awesome. Never seen it so sharp before

It sucks that people say its a stupid idea to cross your eyes to see 2d in 3d but when you ask them if they've done it the answer is always "no".

Why 3d movies are more "3d" than real life? Or it's only me?

It depends on a couple of factors, one of them being the screen size. The smaller the screen, the more "3D" things look
@los-and212

Depends on the distance between two cameras ,
@PinkeySuavo
5 жыл бұрын
@@los-and212 Yeah, and the angles between them. Let's suppose you place the cameras like eyes are placed on bird's head. Then you actually could see what birds see. But their brains probably process such images differently, so we would see something weird, since our brains are accustomed to see with eyes placed like all humans currently have.
@nikoappsmuggred7220

Another reason can be because your brain isnt used to seeing 3d on a 2d screen so it finds it more "interesting" so to say.

Say what you want about 3d being a gimmick, but I got more depth from this cross-eyed video than from many IMAX 3D experiences. There's definitely something to having the depth to the video, it really makes sense especially with scenery. Very good job on this.

Too big of a screen, detail is lost in that huge screen. This brings this closer, this method of viewing such images is over a hundred years old.

this is the effect of a VR headset but with you crossing your eyes instead of reseting them
This is just amazing. I already exercised to manually focus/unfocus without moving the eyes, so it was easy for me. This looks so realistic ! It's soooo much better than 3D in cinemas. I could watch entire movies with this.
@Speed4Runs
4 жыл бұрын
I have a very different effect when using manual focus instead of crossing eyes; since manual focus seems to be much more unstable and sensitive on noise, I often get a more blurred up image. It also depends if I go "upwards" or "downwards"; not sure how to explain - but also the size of the resulting picture is different. And with crossed eyes, it's always at its minimum size, with a noticeable density in details and overall sharper image (that occupies like 20% of my FOV but oh well lol)

The trees at the end were especially 3D looking.
If your eyes hurt, you're too close to the video. If it *still* hurts regardless of distance from the screen, just stop. Your eyes and potentially better future experiences are worth more than this minor experience.
Pretty good with magic eyes, to anybody struggling on a phone you're probably holding it too close. Hold it farther away than you would for a static image.
Well done, Good Sir. Panning the subject horizontally helps immensely with the depth.
Thank you so much for this. You got the perfect level of depth in the shots, and the footage you've taken is stunning.

Great video. Though the focal plane distance could use adjustment as I find it annoying to have the display so far away for a clear 3dimage making the result very small.

I viewed this video first as intended - crosseyed, it was mesmerising... and then i decided to view it the way you view a stereogram, instead focusing into the distance, and my brain wasn't happy at all with having the depth perception in reverse.

Cross-eyed definitely the best. Red/blue tends to look like cardboard cutouts, and you can't see the colors as well. Cross-eyed you can see the leaves.
Amazing the quality is the same as when using 3D glasses !

The footage is just 🥹🥹👌🤌
You know when you look at something close to you, the objects in the back are double because you cross eye a little. Even that happens in this video if you look at something that is closer then the backround will get double and if youlook at the backround the front object is double.
Very nice, I love it. Great job.
Excellent work. I love it.

Very good
Do you have more videos of this kind? I do really enjoy making the same 3D videos from my travels. Using Mini2. But I make two squares to fill the whole screen. Love it. Unfortunately no one else is interested.
Part of the problem with cross eyed 3D is the fact that once you cross your eyes properly your mind will perceive three images and only the middle one is 3 D. I find it helpful to hold up my hands in front of my face about 2 or 3 inches apart so that the left eye only can see the right image and the right eye can only see the left image. Now when you cross your eyes properly your mind will only perceive one 3 D image in the center... Or better yet take a black piece of paper with a three inch square cut out of the center and hold it in front of your face so that each eye can only see one of the two images. This will relieve the eye strain normally associated with 3D cross eyed image viewing, especially if the image is a video. Once you are perceiving one composite image instead of three you can relax and enjoy the effect without the need to ignore most of what you are seeing..
awesome, thank you!
It takes me a long time to see certain 3-D images because I had strabismus (crossed eyes) when I was a child w corrective surgery. My eye muscles don’t want to cooperate w certain image positions
I GOT IT, this is the only video i can see better than the average public _after_ removing my glasses, its so cool
NIIIIIIIICE !!!
I love this video it's so good! The music is fitting perfectly as well. How did you do this?
Ugh, I've been watching a bunch of stereoscopic videos but this is the first that I just cannot see in 3D! Dx
Wow!
you don't have to cross your eyes!! cover your eyes with your hands so that your right hand covers the right half of the screen, and the left hand is covering te left half of the screen. Then your right eye sees automatically the left picture and your left eye sees the right picture! This is easy and you do not get an headache!
My guess is that one video is slightly delayed, before the cuts that is, to simulate different perspectives, am I right? You know the drone speed, so you can calculate how much time it needs to travel eye distance and then delay the right of left (depends on which way the drone moves) by that time
@Shadow__X
3 жыл бұрын
If if it's not that, maybe try that, I would love to but don't have a drone .-.
@Pedrinho2.10

You're correct. This is only possible because the camera is always moving sideways and the landscape is pretty much stationary. Very elegant technique!
I can't cross my eyes enough to see it
It only works in vertical mode for me. Don't know if it's my fault or if the videos aren't aligned correctly
Thank you
That is pretty cool. I'm guessing the footage is cloned and one delayed a few frames? Hence the left)/right pans?

It does. Each image will represent an eye, so to achieve the right offset you need to delay one image or the other to match the virtual position of that eye. It depends on the direction the camera was moving.

I think the thing that keeps tripping me up is that not all of the objects are in focus. Objects in the foreground are fuzzy and out of focus, just like they would be in real life if you were focusing on something in the mid- or background. The trick to watching this video (besides crossing your eyes, of course) is to focus on the background and let the fuzzy foreground trick you into thinking you're actually there.
