A fun follow up video to this would be if you guys did a coaching session with GamerDadTV. It would be very interesting into seeing how GamerDad receives coaching from you guys.
The recent podcast episodes have all been bangers, nice job guys

Amazing seeing such old gamers still being excited about learning and improving the game! GamerDadTV was a nice addition to the podcast too.

This is truly the greatest collaboration I never knew I wanted. I am huge Gamerdad fan and thought it was hilarious when you guys brought him up in passing a few weeks ago, and I also happen to be a huge urgot enjoyer. Don’t worry Curtis I reacted the same way when I first saw his TikTok’s and didn’t think you were hating or whatever
I think what makes this collaboration great, is that Mike's a teacher and you had a great conversation about ways to teach/coach people on different levels. A lot of common ground here and experience exchange.
Got this Monday night out here in South Korea. Love your podcast! So cool you were able to bring gamerdad on for the podcast.
'Apparently, you aren't supposed to tackle people in soccer' Hah he's really showing off his standup skills :D
This guy's attitude and perspective is great
What an amazing personality this guy have, i love him and i love so many things i've heard on this episode. And i believe he's going to climb high, with this mentality.
GamerDad is a legend.
Guy is a legend! Thanks for the great job on the content creation BBC!!!
Loved listening to this guy’s stories
I like it, always good to see multi generation players.
Pretty good interview, big respect to GamerDad and the BBC ! Since i think GamerDad will read this i will give you the Immortal Urgot jg guide - Pta, overheal, bloodline/Tenacity, last stand, taste of blood, ult hunter, smite, ghost just keep farming till at least 1300g for Tiamat or more and get boots as well, you are full build at Titanic Hydra/Heart steal only 1 ping is needed "on my way" spam it on any gank / objective you want use ult early, its one of the longest slows in the game To gank ghost in with distain and purge em, if they try escape hit em with cc, ult at the right time early/later what eva. 🍄This shit is busted, look at runes at the end of each game and enjoi 🍄
This is straight up, fuckin awesome. GamerDad is a legend.
Hi Curtis and Nathan ! I think this guy is spot on most of your player base are silver and bronze who don’t know what they don’t know I think most of us need a dummies guide type thing . Also would love to hear you guys talk about settings if you haven’t already for example I’d love to hear your opinions on camera drag vs moving the corner of the screen for better awareness when team fighting as I will learn camera drag if it seems optimal
Have seen his clips on Ig and I’m glad he gets featured on the podcast! Would love for u guys to do coaching content with the GamerDad
49:44 Nathan Mott has 1v9 mindset confirmed?
he's such a storyteller
gamerdad did a great advice about the lesons who nathan a curtis needs to do for new players. i think most of the new players dont care to learn about x or y champ specific, new players are interested about how to play a role and the importance of good habits on his own gameplay
This is so interesting because this is gonna be us in 30-40 years. I always wondered what I'd look like at 60 still playing games.
I rarely die solo. But when I do, I wholeheartedly accept that i fucked it up. I remember a diana just destroying me and i did t understand how it was that big of a stomp. But i understand that he knew. So he outplayed me. Its always a combo of you screwing up, and them playing well.
AMAZING content 🙏
Great episode!
aha wow you only heard about this guy two weeks ago and you've got him on. Love this guys
The Vic 20 had cartridge and tape cassette games. Astro Blitz came with the home pack version and was the “ Mario” of the Vic 20
Just goes off on tangents as he remembers things...typical dad hahaha. Awesome episode.
This was informative!
This is so great
I'm low master and i always say what curtis said about how 5 diamond/low master who scrim every week wouldn't stand a chance against random high master/gm, that's why i don't really understand people who want to go pro or amateur team while being low elo, gotta grind soloQ first
''We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.''
Yo I love League I've been trying to get my dad to play bots with me on my laptop but he's been resistant. I think I will be able to though it's gonna be so fun
what a legend

Hey guys, I loved your video on NEACE it was super helpful to understand how to analyze games. He just posted a video on Jungle XP and would love to see your analysis on his newest Video.
I'm just happy to see more diversity in age demographic for gamers. Big W
im carzy or he is Caps dad:D?
I found your podcast recently. My feedback: here that you have a guest, let they finish their train of thought. Many times you interrupted Mark. I get it tho, you are very passionate about league that you have a lot to say, but let the guest speak cause his ideas are somewhat rarer than yours that can talk in another episode or whatever. For example, he was about to praise how well you named the podcast and before he concluded it he got interrupted. The episode was good, just sharing my thoughts. I would probably interrupt as well, and this happens a lot with podcasts, it’s not like you interrupted him all the time, just when it was about league, again, I think it’s the passion about the game.

@@Obzerver very true
I just want to give some honest feedback on this episode. There are many parts where GameDadTV is putting out statements and in my interpretation somewhat schooling you guys on what the game is. I would like you to push back a bit so GamerDadTV can understand that he is ignorant to parts of the game. Like "in low elo ... fundamentals go a long way", "...at the second part of the game ... you become a support player later with Rumble...", "... I died but I know that my mid should've rotated to me.", "you can do this on low level, you can't do this on (high level).", "I can't throw my self into a fight anymore. (by picking comet)" - you get the point. This is misleading (going on what is often mentioned on the bbc podcast and personal experience from climbing from bronze to diamond in 3 years) and it's reasonable to think some people who listen to this assumes it's correct because there is no push back on these statements. I get that it may interrupt the flow of the conversation, but I got no good feeling when someone with immense less knowledge have more say about the game than experts. I will end of by saying just to make it clear - I am not a hater of Curtis, Nathan, BBC or GamerDad, in fact I loved most of this conversation and looking forward for the next episode :)

I agree it is hard to listen to those statements, but any regular listener would know that they are not correct. Curtis and Nathan did the right thing in my opinion by biting their tongues - the point of the interview is not to coach GamerDad but to learn about his view points, think about a new perspective and remind ourselves what it looks like to enjoy and have passion for the game.
poor nathan getting picked on by gamerdad lol
39:10 Why would I play this game then, if I can play something just as intense and competitive, but better? Like StarCraft 2, or WarCraft 3, or Melee Smash and etc.?

Probably the same reason people mostly watch team sports/games over 1v1 ones, at the end of the day people like playing cooperatively, despite the negatives
@LuckyGnom

@@MickyAspire Team games is just a trend. 10 years ago SC2 was the biggest esports, 15 years ago Quake was the biggest esports, before football chess was the biggest sports.
@MickyAspire
Жыл бұрын
@@LuckyGnom What do you mean by big? CS, which was the first proper exclusively team-based competitive game, was "bigger" (as in number of tournaments, earnings, players) than Quake and SC shortly after release. CS could never take off in Asia because Valve demanded a monthly fee at internet cafes. Football/basketball have been massive for so long I'd say it's more than a trend at this point

Because you enjoy it more. If you enjoy another game more than play that game instead.
Who actually is Curtis? Dude's talking like he knows, but we KNOW that people still have laning coaches and still NEED laning coaching even at the highest level. Does this guy actually have any credentials, or is he just a hack?
@dzdiyos
Жыл бұрын
Just wanted to pitch in; he coaches Midlane Academy (gold all the way to challenger) and Midlane School (below gold) almost every single day. He has a lot of experience all throughout various elo ranges and helping people progress towards their ranked goals. He is also an ex-pro as well as a former coach for Dire Wolves, which Nathan used to manage. In addition, he is a perennial challenger as he does his best to practice what he preaches. If that's what you think a hack is, idk. lol
