There is no specific time period to learn Fund accounting, it’s a vast area. But within 2 to 3 months you can learn the basic concepts and different fund structures. Having said that, you can gain more knowledge when you perform the activity on a daily basis.

Fund accounting is basically keeping the books of records. FA will take into accounts of all assets and liabilities of the fund and the capital activities, then it will arrive at the NAV of the funds. Hello. Fund Accounting has vast potentials. As a CA you have a lot of options to pursue. You can start as a mid-level manager in Fund accounting. This will help you to get exposure in end-to-end fund valuations. The growth opportunities are good in this field.
