    Thank you for the USB power supply tip! The program kept freezing and wouldn't read the camera until I turned it off that option. If anyone else has issues - I plugged direclty into the computer. It didn't like it when I plugged into a USB hub. Cheers!

    Sorry, not in X RAW Studio. It's a very basic RAW processor and not an asset manager like Photo Mechanic or Lightroom.

    Having tried to load or use the x raw prog I have come across a couple of issues, I have my photos in light room and that comes up in left panel however does the photo have to be on the computer hard drive as I’m not getting any thing that I can click on in the right panel to create some recipes I have, that I want to put in my Q menus! Any suggestions, great tip on turning the usb power off, I have tried XT3 as ref!

  • @PeltierPhoto

    @PeltierPhoto

    This is standalone from Lightroom, there's no cross-compatibility, so everything you do in X RAW Studio will have to be using RAW files on your hard drive (or external).

  • @stephenschmid492
    @stephenschmid4927 ай бұрын

    Thanks, John, very helpful. Why do you think Fujifilm doesn't allow the processing to happen on your computer instead of having to use the camera? It would be so much easier. I have many photos taken with the X-T20 which I no longer own, and even for those from my current camera would have to be loaded back onto a memory card and put into the camera before processing.

  • @PeltierPhoto

    @PeltierPhoto

    They’re just using a shortcut in packaging the program, forcing it to use the processor in the camera rather than including it with the program. Available options vary depending on the camera processor, but Nikon manages to do the same thing without requiring the camera connected.

    Hi John, I am using x-t30 with the Fuji provided usb cable. Changing a single setting in the studio takes a significant amount of time, several seconds, unlike in your video. Do you have any guess what may result this? The x-t30 only has one of these settings mentioned in the video.

    There is also a setting within the Preferences of X Raw Studio which prioritizes speed vs quality when previewing images. My understanding is that it does not affect final export quality when converting.

    Fuji's old Cam Remote App was the absolute worst and should never have been allowed on the app store for as long as it was! At least X App is slightly better...
