They forgot two important steps. 1) hope the charger isn't broken. 2) queue up because there aren't enough chargers. (and there's no where to queue)

Finally! 🎉🎉 not great splitting charge but it’s better than waiting on some halfwit charging to 100% trickling at 5kW draw for the last 2%. I’ll take the 30kW if that’s all I can get. Better use of the resources. How about getting some kempower for the next Gen units?

And when will you be bringing in overstay fees, 50mins seems more than reasonable, & a 90% limit then shutoff/overstay. It’s expensive stuff to have in the ground being hogged by some silly person, convinced that they REALLY NEED the extra 10%. There are plenty more sites to charge at on any route over the UK now. And if these penalties were in play, it would actually stop what we have getting so clogged up.

It's a pity that Cobham and other sites need a rethink on how cars enter and exit charging stations. Some people may wish to queue and it's proving impossible, especially at a location where you can enter at both ends. I now charge at other locations away from Cobham as it's become too busy, many times by hybrids who don't want to walk too far.

And if i want to charge trailer battery?

Will the CCS units that have Type 2 AC connectors on them also dual charge, as these weren't reliable?

Agree, a BMW owner that pulled up to the dual-charge station I was using the other day could not get the AC connector to work. (The other side of the charger was Chademo which was obvs useless to him). He only needed the smallest top-up to get home, but had to wait until I’d finished before he could start. Felt sorry for him. Before anyone asks, I did unplug at 79% so he could get going.

Is this 2x 60kw so that 120kw can be shared or just 60kw total?

I think it is 60kw in total split between the two cars @1:56 onwards

@@Lewis_Standing Indeed. I guess that it is better than having to wait but the video is kind of making a big thing over a facility which you'd hope you wouldn't need! Still given there are not enough chargers, I guess it pays to start where you are!

Yep, not ideal, but take the option whilst it’s available.

2 electro motors on middle axle of trailer

4 plugs for Lorrys and buses

Lucky if you get 15 KW

If someone is using one of the chargers, and is not present, I could stop their charging by pressing the red stop button and get full power for my charge.

I wouldn't advise it. You often need to call the service desk to get them to re-enable a charger after an emergency stop. Sometimes it can take ages for them to answer the phone.

You only get a maximum of 20kw
