You understand correctly. This is not to say that seniors shouldn't have routine body checks with the family doctor because the risk of many diseases do increase with age.

i also have blue ring around my iris but only appear when it hit light or when im using whatever flash to see them in a mirror . other than that my eyes are completely brown-black . im 18 btw :)

I read something scary and interesting, there could be a relation between this eye condition and aortic aneurysm; I do have them both i pray to the LORD to heal me. It will not hurt if everyone checks with the doctor.

Given your age, you should be having yearly eye exams. You could bring it up the next time you see your eye doctor ;)

It usually isn’t something that comes about suddenly, but rather gradually and more evidently with time. So rather than in days, I would say more in the order of weeks/months.

It won't go away, but won't cause any problems too. Just eat healthy and practice proper exercises and you'll be good.

If you are referring to a 'limbal ring', that is normal and benign. If what you have looks different and has only developed recently, I would have it checked with the optometrist.

Rather than guessing and taking risks, start by seeing your optometrist for a comprehensive eye exam. Bring up what you noticed developing on your eyes and take any steps advised to investigate the matter further.

@@hamizishah3177 If the corneal arcus only recently developed, I don’t think it’s a bad idea to run the blood test again. If you had the blood test during the time you already have the corneal arcus, then I wouldn’t be as worried. Just keep up with routine eye and body checks to be doubly sure there are no signs of underlying systemic diseases.

I have little bad eyesight and im 12 is it dangerous 😢

If it looks like any of the pictures presented of corneal arcus in this video, then it likely is. As described in the video, you may need to have it checked out sooner than later depending on what your age is. If in doubt, it is always the safest to see the optometrist rather than guessing around.

What you are describing sounds more like a pterygium. I would recommend checking with your optometrist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

@@m4ch207 Depends on how far in it grows. If it is getting close to your line of sight and/or is changing your glasses prescription significantly, it would require treatment. That’s why it’s best to leave it to the optometrist to assess your specific case.

As stated in the video, having the sign of corneal arcus depending on your age could mean very different things. If I can cause someone to be aware that they may be at risk for a more serious systemic condition, then it is worthwhile for me to put this video up.

@@PratikPachal If a person have high cholesterol that is not detected or treated, it can lead to stroke and heart disease. The underlying systemic disease needs to be treated! Corneal arcus in the young can be a warning sign and should not be ignored.
