I follow AFL but I had a good laugh at this. I moved from Vic to NSW and cop heaps of shit from people about following AFL but its mostly good fun. Who cares what code you follow ? I have mates from NSW that love NRL but still follow a little AFL because they just love sport and vica versa. I went to Melbourne to see the mighty Blues smash Collingflog in Rd 3 this year, the next day I went and watched Canterbury v Storm, both good games.

Looks like everywhere else around the world...ppl pick their fav sport (or it's picked for you I should say) and all other sports suck. In the States, sports fans don't generally pick a fav sport, they instead have a fav team in every sport. Very, very interesting.

Nope. Frankston are still very much alive competing in the VFL. Footscray changed their name to Western Bulldogs in 1996 to market the club more broadly specifically anywhere west of Melbourne around Footscray

not really the main australian sport, considering most of its following is in victoria, the cricket is more nationalized than afl.

i dont mind nrl just gets a bit boring after the first 10 mins it needs to b watched on the news or youtube where all the bs is cut out and they just show the big hits and fights, i could watch every game every week of afl
