Vellum does it for you, or you can just use “block quote”

You forgot to mention that if you are using quotes (especially song lyrics) you need to make sure that you have permission to use them in your works.

Sorry to bring up an old video, About 2 years ago you did a video titled KDP select, is it worth it. As I understand it kdp select is a narrow distribution publishing limiting your ebook to market on Amazon only, for a limited time. but the hard cover version of the book can be published on other platforms. There are definate advantages to going with kdp select, with ones e-book especially for new fiction authors. However, there was one down side you mentioned that best seller lists like NYT or USA Today and others won't consider your book unless it is distributed widely. My question is that, if the paper and hard copies of a book is published on other plaforms like apple books and google, wouldn't that be considered wide distribution and would't the lists like New York times consider that wide distribution?

No, it just pertains to ebooks.
