Yes that's normal.

How long is the lifetime?

We have an ispring ro system that comes with a booster pump, but we had to install it in our garage so there is a long run of line to the point of use in the house. Unfortunately the pressure at the faucet is still pretty low...will adding a permeate pump improve our pressure at the faucet and is it okay to run 2 pumps?

I have a tankless RO system with a booster pump that is only about 20psi after the filter. can I put a permeate pump to boost pressure? or could I use another booster pump in the permeate to boost pressure?
