In 2015, I went to ER on a Monday with chest pains and nothing showed up. They sent me home. Went to my doctor on Thursday, once again complaining of chest pains. By Saturday, after grocery shopping and coming home, I had to lay down. Very unusual for me. After a short time, I could hardly breathe and felt like someone had punched me in the chest. Ambulance came and took me back to ER where they still couldn't find a problem. I've never had problems with my heart or high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol. My BP was even normal in the ambulance ride. Doctor said he still couldn't find anything wrong, but I was going up stairs and a cardiologist would find out Monday morning. Monday, they put me to sleep and plan to go in the arm/hand. I remember waking up saying, 'holy shit that hurts' and hearing the doc say 'pull it out, we're going in the groin'. Didn't remember anything else until the anesthesia wore off. Some hours later, a nurse checks on me in my room and says if you feel 'wet', buzz the nurses station. I thought what does that mean. At some point, I awoke again, noticed the BP monitor was at 86/45 and I felt wet. Called the nurse, she checked and the next thing I know she's back with three other nurses, two of which get in bed with me trying to stop the bleeding as I was bleeding out because the stitches broke. The other 2 nurses were squeezing IV bags on either size of the bed. I asked what was going on and she screamed 'lay back and be quite'. Don't remember anything else. Turns out the main artery (widow maker) had collapsed 95%. The cardiologist couldn't believe I'd had no problems until that week and was surprised I was able to work. Spent the night, Monday, went home Tuesday and back to work on Wednesday. Once they got rid of the pain, I felt fine. Dec 2021, I had a catherization through the groin. Tried to convince the nurses I needed to be knocked out as they were taking me down the hall. When the doctor came in we were laughing that I was then trying to convince him that I needed to be knocked out. He told me no and to look at the big screen TV on the other side of the bed to see that he was already in and everything looked fine as well as the stent from 2015. Had to lay in bed on my back for 2 hours without moving and then went home. Again, no problems, no pain; I was good to go. My kidney stone pain/removal was waaaaaaaay worse than this!!!!!!!

I have known many people to go through this procedure but I was curious to what it actually was. Thanks for explaining this in a way I easily understood. I'm only 55 and in relatively good heart health, I've eaten a ketogenic diet over 5 years. I avoid products and focus on real food. I find all of your videos informative and recommend them to anyone who will listen. Thanks for keeping us all informed and working toward better health.

I had an angiogram after having a heart attack. The angiogram detected an 80% blockage of my LAD arterty and two stents were inserted. My cardiologist had performed other tests because of some dizziness I was having but they failed to find the problem. Although the angiogram is expensive and invasive, it seems to be the most reliable test. As this doctor pointed out, I was awake during the test but didn't feel any pain.

I was on that table for 1.5 hours. It was horrible. This physician doing the video seems nice and calm maybe I’d of had a better outcome at his place.

I just has one of these procedures. The procedure itself was very easy. Just a little uncomfortable when they first go in the artery. But after that is was painless. Unfortunately I am going to require bypass surgery,. That is the next step. Otherwise I am thankful for this technology it answered a lot of questuins. We use a similar instrument in Avisation called a borescope. Of course it is much larger that what they use in the arteries. Thank you for the greatexplanation. God Bless John V

I just had this done yesterday. I’m still in the hospital, although I had no blockages. I wish I had thought to watch this prior to the procedure. I love the doctors voice and his explanation was very thorough. I have a question of soreness in the chest after the procedure. I have a little achy type of soreness today. Of course I will also ask my cardiologist once he gets here, but figured I’d see who will answer first. Thank you!

I need to get a cardiac catherization. I am not scared of the procedure, I am afraid of the contrast. I had a Cat Scan of my lower spine many years ago and had contrast & I did feel the warm feeling, but it made my heart pound, and my body had a feeling that was undescribable. Has that symptom ever been noted before? I am thinking maybe if I am sedated, I will be more calmer.
