Yes, this knife is pretty Badass, I have the Spear point GCK. I really like how it feels in hand. I do think it's odd how Buck discontinued this blade, glad I got one.

Yeah. From what I read production costs were too high and time consuming to make. Kinda sad

I have the tanto in tan and it's the best bang for buck (no pun intended) large fixed blade you can get, imho. The sheath alone is extremely well done and the price of this knife versus competitive options is ridiculous!!

My Favorite Buck knife right there! Chicago knife works actually had them on sale for 87 bucks so I picked up a couple asap!!! Not disappointeded. The knives sell! Buck had better get on the ball... Great video too!!!

It's funny how some companies will come out with a really good knife design, but then cancel production of it for a very silly reason. I've never understood the logic behind some companies and how they conduct their business practices?!! 🤔Anyway, thanks for sharing about this cool discontinued knife from silly old Buck. 🤪Take care and Cheers!

It's a cool knife. A store had the spear point and a 119 Brahma with the leather grip. I bought one and a couple of months later the other one was still sitting there. So I got that too but they no longer sell them. I don't know how they still had them both in stock after all these years. The extra third strap on the back allows you to reposition the knife higher on the Molly backing. Then the string will go around the handle. I don't like this sheath so I bought two metal steel clips and put them on the plastic sheath so that it hangs upside down.

I have the drop point version of this knife. Excellent knives! I wish I had picked up the tanto as well. Don't know why they discontinued them. They seemed like they sol;d pretty well.

I have the spear point. Love it , too bad they quit making it cause it relegated it to a safe queen . So my coldsteel leatherneck is my bag knife

It’s easier to round off the tanto than it is to tanto a drop point. 🧠

As with many fixed blades, the sheath is the letdown. In this case, the sheath is way too bulky. But I wish Buck still made the model.

We want 3v and no qc issues or weird things that don’t make sense. Buck- best I can do is 420hc on everything, lots of blade play and thumb studs directly in the cutting path. Not talking about this knife specifically but rather buck in general.

Have you ever owned or tested the Buck 650 Nighthawk? 1/4" blade of 425M or 420HC depending on year. I liked it so much I grabbed a second. Nearly indestructible knife as evidenced by many destruction videos.

​@@peterbiltknifeguyit was pretty reasonable for 3v if I recall. Probably not more than $150. Legion Tacticool Cutlery got one. They released a 119 with a different blade shape early this year in 3v with a $165 price tag

Yep, they make a chopper that goes with that series too....I would have love to get it being a Buck fanboyee....LOL...If figures they did well so let's stop making it which means they went with a higher profit line instead of quality....Oh well, life goes on for us Buck boyz....Good stuff....

Come on, I’m a grandpa, I have less buck knives than you, I have one folder. They just don’t do it for me. I’m willing to spend a pretty penny on a good knife, so please end your ageist attitude, I do like your young pup style I have to admit 🤣😂🤣.
