What If Whole European Continent Was Just ONE Country?

Help me to do this full-time: / curiousreason
Calculations were purely European Continent itself. Only territory, residing people of transcontinental countries were added. (Transcontinental countries are Russia, Turkey, Armenia etc). It's not just about European Union (EU) But in a whole Continental scale.

There is a bit inaccuracy on some maps shown in the video. Gotta change my map dealer. :) Plus, this is not a political propaganda video about the European Union. It's about the continent itself and some hypothetical fun. EU sure as hell would not want Russia in the Union or the southern Caucasus region down to some parts of Central Asian countries. So enjoy! :)

@Gray Jedi The point is to grow faster together for the good of most people. Sorry but history shows that conservative countries end up pretty badly and it's also scientifically proven that conservatists just don't like changes which is pretty bad for country's growth, don't you think? Also if United Europe was to be treated as a country then I don't understand how theoretical 98% votes winning over your 2% isn't democratic... Do you think that Joe Biden winning US elections by winning more votes is undemocratic too? If you'd rather keep on living in your country stuck in 20th century while everyone else lives with actual human rights and great living standard then go for it, I'm sure it's gonna work out great for you..

@@TheChill001 I have to agree because in the past Eurovisions, it had some differential cultural songs in the 1970's and 1980's, but today's Eurovision is a complete piece of shit - no identification/representation of cultures/nations (differences - what makes Europe unique/interesting and worth exploring) with majority of the songs in the English language and/or westernised songs that sound all the same...So it is not a good example in today's context. Europe is becoming more culturally connected sadly, but mentally is still divided. It should be the other way to have a better life :/ . And yeah, Israel and Australia being in the event, Eurovision, is a totally bullocks!

China has +50 peoples, India has +40 peoples, Russia has +10, major countries in the Americas have dozens of peoples, in huge melting pots, why can´t Europe, be a democratic federation? We should have advanced into this very long ago. If you live in a European nation(except Russia),know that in future, your country will be nothing in comparison with the superpowers,it will end overpassed in nearly all aspects, and will end constantly humiliated on the world stage,in time you will even lose your freedom, because the superpowers will bribe most your politicians, like if you were a sattelite, it is to obey or face the consequences. For Europe it is to unite, or die, for the world, and perhaps even die physically in wars. Too much at stake.

In most other countries there's is some to great understanding of the English language...it's an obvious choice really. German isn't spoken outside the countries where it's the mothertongue...same goes for French, Italian and Spanish(at least in europe). SO the only language possible to use as a lingua franca in Europa, perhaps with Russian as second best as most of eastern Europe either speaks it or has been heavily influenced by it in the past 100 years or so.

Rey Nemaattori actualy, german has a majority as motherlanguage in europeans. many countries learn english, native manguage and german. also don't forget: people in italy, austria, switzerland, germany, france & eastern neighbouring coungries to germany, all talk some form of german in some parts of their countries. like, tirol (italy), strassburg (france), etc. it's like 100mil. people who talk german as their native language in europe. while english is only the natuve language of the uk, which isn't even part of the EU soon. but again, languages can be equal. there's no need for a main language, we don't have a main language here in seitzerland neither.

It's not enough to be "united" , the method of unification matters. The US is supposed to be a federated system, with each state having a large amount of autonomy. California has a different culture than Kansas, not so different as between Austria and Italy. But even this small difference translates into big problems when one culture imposes its will over others using a strong central government... As the US becomes more centralized it is actually becoming more brittle. Strong but brittle. The EU, because of its diversity, would need to be more federalized, less centralized than the US. It looks like it is going the opposite direction.

Yeah but everyone hates Brussels, so I highly doubt that. If it would ever happen, it would be a pan-European nationalistic union, so it's very likely that an official capital is never recognised, or have the capital in Rome. Rome civilized Europe and brought technology and prosperity after all, plus all roads lead to Rome.

I came back on this comment and I doesnt expected 83 likes , thanks If Europe unite it will make enormous concurention to USA economy and it will put tensions between them like now between global superpowers USA and Russia but Europe will be much more dominant and it will probably put much pressure on USA who will probably get crushed in that race and Europe will became global superpower who will rule the world But its little fantasy what if scenario and I got deep into fantasy

I think the capital of the «United States of Europe», as I would call them, would be either Brussels, Bern, Frankfurt am Main or Vienna. And I would pick Frankfurt out of them for several reasons: 1. It‘s already the bank center of Europe and the most powerful city of Europe‘s biggest country (Germany). 2. It‘s located very well in the center. 3. Frankfurt‘s airport is one of the biggest and most important European airports.

I am right wing, however i realize that in order for Europe to be relevant, the USE will need to happen. Look at the demography, European countries alone are insignificant in terms of demography save for a handful such as Germany and France. The US is starting to lose it's place in the sun, and the emerging powers like China will fill that space. Don't say "fine, what does it matter?" Well China has a completely different culture and values than ours, they are communist. Do you think they care about "Democratic values"? We will all be put in China's sphere of influence. Do you want that? I love my country i am proud of my Portugal, the first global empire. That is why i don't want Europe to be irrelevant, we who have a rich history, we who made history and we can make so much more history together... I propose the adoption of the "Comunity" administration system from Spain, for the USE. A Spanish Comunity has more autonomy and political power than a State in the US.
