Great video as usual! Just one note regarding the Arabic accents differences: Arabic speaking people from the far west Arabic countries and Middle-east Arabic countries CAN understand each other to some extent when speaking with the dialect of these countries (a lot of the most used words have little to major differences on how to say it) And CAN 100% understand each other if they speak “formal Arabic dialect” which newspapers, local media and schools use all across Arabic countries

I used to speak egyptian arabic, and did not go to school so never learned proper arabic, it was just as alien to me as any other dialect. Its been 10 years since ive spoken to anyone in arabic now, but when i first moved to the US the only 2 other arabic speakers in the place i moved to both spoke in dialects i could not understand if they did not speak ultra slow, same in the other direction. It wasnt like trying to understand old timey english, it was like someone used a find and replace key to swap out letters ( like g with a j), and the sentences were written by a hack writer who opened a dictionary and replaced the words with synonyms without checking if they actually meant the exact same thing. Then there were cultural differences, like habibi meaning lover to (atleast one of) them, but in egyptian arabic habibi was used for anyone even someone you just met as a 'i am your friend' kind of term. perhaps like the british use the word mate? but a bit more friendly. Speaking english now, the difference between any of the english dialects people speak aint got shit on the differences between arabic dialects in my experience.

English, French, German, Spanish are themselves the result of roman and latin dialects that differenciated so much they are totally different now(A french can not understand an english.) And latin disappeared nowadays. (Europeans dont speak one same language) Classic Arabic must be compared to Latin, and arab dialects to modern-day european languages. Thus you realize that we did pretty good in maintaining a common language. We have no excuses for not jnitkng.

@@spqr950 Every Standard Arabic speaker wether modern, Classic or dialect would easily understand each other, but for the most part the thing with these dialects r that they're some times too local n off the norms n also heavily influenced by their respective European colonizers, the standard language is totally understood by evry single Arabic speaker[ Standard or dialect ] but the problem is that they're unable to speak the Standard one easily so they need to learn the grammar n so forth. plus that there is no a collective effort from the governments to implement n push the public to speak the Standard normally. So yeah, u gonna need to learn local dialects in order to communicate with them naturally n not being awkward by following standard grammar. The article was written by a Jewish rabbi and historical, professor wassistien. In his article he talks about how under the Christian rule, the Jews were on the verge of extinction, they were persecuted, no freedom of religion, forced conversion in Christianity. But under islamic rule in muslim territories like in Andalusia, they were allowed to flourish, practise their religion, strengthen their faith and preserve their historical account, literatures and writings. The Jewish historian even mentions that when the Muslims where defeated by Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain, and the Muslims retreated to northern Africa, the Jews said they would follow the Muslims and would rather live by their rule, which is why you now have a large Jewish presence in places like Morroco.

@Max Smith Yes ISIS should be wiped out, it is a cancer to the world & must be treated with full strength. But as far Taliban is concern, they are the freedom fighters and they are fighting for their freedom as they fight against Soviets. US & Allies invaded Afghanistan 2-decades back & now they are leaving while dealing with the same Taliban. Did they wiped out Taliban? No. Did US & allies take back the lands from Taliban? No. Did they weakened Taliban? No. What did the superpower USA achieved in Afghanistan from the last 19, 20 years except the dead bodies of their soldiers? Absolutely nothing! What else the beating means, kindly explain? The Taliban still exist with having power & control of 80% of Afghanistan while the so called superpower US is running a way from them..
