Hi friends! A quick reminder not to post spoilers for "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes". The book isn't out in many countries yet, and won't be for another few weeks, so it's incredibly inconsiderate. Also, many of you have been asking when I'll make videos about it. Me and my dad were talking about this a few days ago, and he said that this probably happened in some of the first hunger games when careers didn't exist and all the districts tributes were fairly even. The idea of hunger games was new, no many people would accept it, and its likely in at least one of the first 10 - 15 games the tributes all refused to fight.

If I was in The Hunger Games I'd like to think of myself as a fox face type character so I probably agreed to not fight but run into the forest knowing that the gamemakers will probably and leaves some type of thing to kill us

That’s most likely what would happen because that is what happened to Katniss in the first movie when she was close to the edge/end of the arena and too far away from any other tributes

I sometimes wonder what would happen if all the tributes decided to step from their podiums too early and were all blown to pieces before the game officially started.

I watched a fan fiction were these tributes didn’t want to fight, so somehow their trackers also had a disease and there were only five tributes left, and two cures. That got them to fight

Another tactic to do the same reality shows do. Pick a tribute who has the personality traits that can make him easily manipulated. You only need one or two to cause havoc. If you somehow trick them into making them think they are going to get the support of the game makers or the sponsors, that can do the trick.

I would only fight someone if they attacked me or if they were the only person left besides me. I wouldn't go around killing random people. But according to my location I'm techinally district 1 so I would be brainwashed to become a career so my way of thinking would have been different in the H.G. universe😂

@@beansultra6872 You mean that one person who's trying to survive? There's many reasons to fight. Maybe someone is lying about agreeing. Maybe your aware the capitol wouldn't allow it. And this isn't just about you as a tribute, it's about your families as well. Just think about that for a moment.

If my family was threatened, I'd definitely fight. They already have/had to watch me die by other tributes. They shouldn't suffer anymore. I do value allies in the arena, but I value my family more.

I don’t think I’d fight, because I probably couldn’t handle killing or hurting people. In this situation, I probably would just let myself get killed (but make it look like I was trying so my loved ones didn’t get hurt). I think dying in the arena on my own terms is better than what happens if you survive, because you’ll basically be controlled by the president.

They had lunch together, for 3 days during the trainning. And they are watched but they could create a diversion. In fact, during the 75th Games all the tributes has lunch together.

They would probably hijack them in a way to be aggressive to each other, maybe during the sky images at the end of the day showing the images of deceased people? There would probably people who would risk their family, but not many. To pass the message, maybe make code words?

They could do an announcement where instead of threatening them they could give it a twist to the victor, like their entire family being exonerated from the next hunger games or even their entire district being exonerated for the next 5 years.

They could make an announcement like “If nobody dies in the next 5 minutes everyone’s trackers will detonate”

No, they can't do that. Again, like she said, it's all about the show. The games would be considered a massive failure and make the capitol look weak and not in control. That's the last thing they would ever do. It's not about killing children, it's about putting on a show.

They could maybe whisper a massege into the brain with the tracker, that said that until they start fighting, every 5 minutes a random tracker will explode. Or that if they don’t fight, their families will die

One way I could see the tributes managing to make this agreement would be through mentors, as the mentors can communicate with other mentors, who can then communicate with the tributes

I would fight only cause its a life or death situation. And as everyone else death is a huge no no for me.

I’m kind of a pacifist so I would agree.

Every single tribute agrees to jump of the podium before the countdown ends, showing the capitol that they will not play by their rules, the countdown begins. 22 of the tributes jump off. The last two look at each other like “this is awkward”.

In the movie “Battle Royale” which is basically just the Hunger Games, what they do is have there be a 2 day time limit and if there isn’t a winner by then, then they just kill them all. I feel like they’d probably do something like that

if i were in the games i would just step off the exploding platform too early because 1) i can’t fight and lack most body strength 2) i would rather be blown to bits in a millisecond than stabbed to death brutally by a career 3) my death is nationally televised and people will remember me as “that dingus who dies first”

Maybe in the Quarter quell if it actually carried out they know how horrible it is so maybe they would have refused.

At the beginning of the Games, peace pact or not, were I in them, I would sit down on my plate, close my eyes, and wait to die. I am an INCREDIBLY strict pacifist, to the point where I haven't even knowingly killed an insect for the past seven years, and it's a big jump to make from mosquito to innocent human child.

They might put another person in which would hunt people or have the finale early

I'd kill myself rather than fight. I took a vow of nonviolence seven years ago and I would stand by that no matter what. Even if I were in just a regular Games where no one had made any such promise, I still wouldn't kill.

What if the first few tributes resisted, the gamemakers would kill them off one by one, until they r all ded, families crying shouting “it’s not fair”, or they reluctantly fight and the ded tributes parents/siblings still saying the same thing. Either way it’s a big cost to the capitol’s reputation and will probs start an uprising, that district being a dead wasteland copy of district 13 with one or two survivors hidden being tracked

tracker jackers and stuff could make illusions, so what if they could make some kind of sickness or something that would cause the tributes to go insane and attack others?

I think that coming to the agreement would actually be a little easier than all gathering in a big group. Let's say that 8 and 2 come together and agree, like 'okay lets not fight',they could then go and spread it to another group each, like 8 goes to 9 and 2 can go to 1. From there, 1 and 9 could spread it to other districts, like 4 or 10, continuing to spread it. Honestly, coming together into an agreement isn't the issue, its the pressure knowing that everybody is watching and judging them, causing people to turn on one another for the sake of their district.

A way to make the tributes fight without killing their families could be to make them have hallucinations, as your more likely to kill someone who you don’t think is a human than to kill someone who you know to be a human. And for this to work, the game makers will only be able to hypnotise a handful of the tributes so the others will fight back in self defence.

I always wondered what would happen if the tributes unanimously decided not to fight.. I love your take on it :D

I like imagine that if the tributes refused to fight in would be in the arena and an alliance would form who would refuse to fight and maybe others would join until everyone stopped fighting.

I always thought that when the arena was flooded when Annie won, it was done to kind of move things along, that there was a lull in the action.

A big problem with this is that not all of the Tributes would refuse to fight. The ones from Districts 1, 2 and 4 think it an honor to participate in the Games, and there's probably the odd Tribute or two from the other Districts who think they have a chance and that their odds would be worste in defying the Capitol. If they did this before the start of the Games, when the cameras weren't on them, they'd all be secretly killed and a convenient "accident" staged. If they did this just before the bloodbath, they'd be blown up on camera and their families wiped out in the following days, for "the encouragement of others".

In my opinion,I would gather all the supplies store it somewhere and blame it on Someone else and build up am explosives trap to kill them all in their sleep suggesting they camped in one big place lile the cornucopia and be the victor

I always imagined if the careers would not be trained and the game makers didn’t have the mutts and things they would do to kill the tributes and, all of the tributes would refuse to fight. They all be like camping in the hunger games living there together. They can make a whole population in the hunger games! They can give birth to babies and they could live there!

There’s also, in the book, right before they show the game makers their skills in the private sessions to get their scores. That’s a time where they are all together and there is nobody else there except for the tributes.

I think that the game makers would have to make a series of "natural disasters", hitting the tributes depending on who has the most sponsors/fans (as if the least you had the sooner you would be hit)

I'd keep the promise. And if the game makers said that they'd kill our families, I'd get to work with a plan to escape. I'd get the kids from D3 to take out all of the cameras some how, and then they were turn the landmines into grenades. We'd make a hole in the side of the arena and escape into the mountains, (we've been told that the Capitol is situated in the Rockies, so I have to guess that the arenas would be close by.) Once we got out, the careers would carefully slice open each of our arms to remove or trackers ()I say the careers because they should be well educated in biology). I would then get the D11 tributes to sew up our arms, and put our trackers in the arena, escaping into the wilerdness. We would survive by relying on each others Districts speciality. Obviously we don't exactly need technology or masonry at that point, but we'd just reassign jobs to agriculture or building.

My tactic would be hunt and gather and learn the patterns of the traps. I would only fight to defend myself and avoid killing unless it’s a career (because they wouldn’t give up).

The gamemakers could also use tracker jacker venom on them to brainwash the tributes into thinking each other were life threatening, like (spoiler) they did to peeta.

I would fight....some people. Probably the people who seem suspicious. I would want to keep the agreement for the most part, but if someone seemed like they would try to kill everyone in a night would be a person to get rid of if you know what I mean. But that's only if the game makers didn't really do anything. If they said they would hurt my family, it would be me against everyone else. I wouldn't let anything happen to my family in that way!

I imagine the capitol would make mass food shortages or water shortages, they might also raise the stake, in something like your entire family can move to the capitol

What if non career tributes make a plan to jump the career pack before they get to the weapons and than scram that would be cool

What if they could pay their way out of the hunger games because if you add your name more than once you get paid

I would go along with the agreement until they split the stuff with me, and then just run away and hide. Foxface survived for a while without many things, so if I had all that stuff then I'd have a bigger chance of survivial

i think that maybe, if their sponsors made the agreement and somehow manipulated and trained the tributes through alliances and some of the tributes knowing what is going on, like Haymitch did with Katniss, maybe not only it would work but could be the beginning of the revoluition like in catching fire

okay but imagine if the plan was that instead of actually not fighting they would all step off of their platforms earlier than when the countdown is done so they would all explode and die and the hunger games would technically never happen

If they were to decide to do this, it would probably happen at the lunch break, when the trainers are talking to the gamemakers.

This did happened, the Game Makers flooded the Arwna and left Annie as the lone survivor

The capitol would receive it poorly if the tributes didn't fight in the begining. Most announcements made in the arena are seen by the capitol and that would be poorly received by the capitol as they would see that as cruel. (At least more cruel than killing children). It would be reasonable if the game makers included some sort of a natural disaster as you can make it so resources are limited so tributes will have to start fighting sooner than later but also kill off tributes in exciting ways.

I would stay by my agreement but still watch my back all the time. I would wait til the others were sleeping and then rest. I would keep weapons and have a back up plan in case I have to abandon them to survive.

What I’d do in the hunger games 2 ways, First way: I’d get a back pack and some type of weapon that I can defend myself with and run away out of the blood bath, I would try to get a long range weapon or a spear I can hold out to keep them from getting right beside me and try to win that way and if I see I can’t win I’d probably eat something poisoned because I refuse to be killer Second idea: I’d probably try to make a deal with the careers saying I don’t want to win just get them to protect me until I can eat something poisoned but I could do this or try and kill them off one by one because certain times it’s easy because their guard is down

Okay. So I know this was all ready done in one of the movies. But if I were in the hunger games in general. I would remove my tracker, fake my death, then hide as well as possible and wait it out. I mean, it couldnt be to hard.i guess

I think I would agree depending how many other people would agree and see what would happen from there. Also I feel like the game makers would make an announcement, one kind of like when they announced that 2 tributes from the same district could survive in the 1st book and movie. I feel like they'd say that they could go home with a tribute of their choice or something if they started killing others. Just a thought.

What about on the hoverride over there? There’s a peacekeeper but there’s always a “pass it on” method

I could only picture the tributes will refuse to fight on the 76th hunger games (if there was one winner in the 75th games) and the tributes of the 76th remembered the hand holding the 75th tributes did in the tribute interview and they pledged that they wouldn’t go after each other but instead protect each other. It made more sense in my head then how i said it.

It could make sense if District 13 were involved. The way I see it, they could plan this all along like they did for the 75th games. In the year prior to the 76th edition, they could get in touch with tributes who have got nothing to lose (no friends or family) and persuade to volunteer and pull a rebellious stunt all together. When they get in the arena, at the end of the count-down they would step down their platforms and stare into the cameras. Their leader, democratically elected, would address the gamemakers in the following way: "We will not fight. Threaten our loved ones, we got nothing to lose. No friends, no family, no future. Send us mutts or attack us in any other way, and we will commit suicide. Either way, you'll get no games this year. LONG LIVE THE REBELLION!" I would still hold up to the agreement to show that the districts will not be scared and horrified by the Capitol no longer hopefully sparking a uprising of rebellion.

This would have been REALLY interesting if this happened in the 74th hunger games because there are fanfics where Clove, Cato, Glimmer, Thresh, Foxface, Rue, Marvel, Katniss, and Peeta agree to not fight each other and join District 13 or just basically survive

I’m trained in martial arts yet I wouldn’t fight someone unless they attacked me or my district partner. Also I would’ve gone to cornocopia and grabbed like one pack and anything nearby that no one else is willing to fight for.

If this was going to happen me and the other tributes could just all step off our circles before the 60 are up. This would be the quickest way to insure there is no victor.

2:50 you did forget they are all together just before they each do their individual assessment which could be when they came together, unless there are guards in the room.

Story Diver I think it could be possible to meet together in groups of three at a time and sort of pass it on but it would be harder to have an open dialogue and try to rouse them to stand together. Like when katniss was talking to wires and beetee (I probably spelt those wrong😂) in the training room.That probably wouldn’t look suspicious.

I don’t know if you already did this but, new video idea: What if someone stepped of their pedestal before the timer was up?

if the tributes formed a sort of super alliance and got rid of all the careers and other violence prone tributes then they could just chill in the arena

The capitol has deadly traps all over the arena so I think the capitol would use them to kill the tributes for entertainment till one they want to win is the last alive. They can control the games actively for example the wave that killed a lot of tributes in Annie Crestas games or to eliminate tributes they don’t want to win like the one that would eat the tributes he’d killed.

I think that they would just flood the Area with mutts that looked like each one of their family members than wait if that happened their would be no Victor and the game maker would be Killed or the mutts would start attacking people until the boy/girl would Survive the attack and crown them the winner Or they could have done this Sooner when they step foot on the stools 3,2,1 everyone looked at each other and nodded they all step off the stools and stand in place they look around to see if the game makers are gonna plain something than they shrink the force field to make the Area smaller making them fight each other meaning the game would Last only 1 day and for the Last 5 that stand their as the watch the force field shrink they send in only 3 Mutts their are 3 left now than they all decide to turn on each other (the remaining 3 climb up the cornucopia,to the mutts wont attack them are Cato clove and Katnip, katniss comes up with an idea taking out night-lock and giving Clove and Cato some on the count of three they eat them 1.......2........3......they slowly eat them katniss becomes dizzy and falls off and gets eaten by the mutts Cato and clove fall down but does not fall in mutts as they grab each others hands and say they love each other as 3 cannons go off ending the games.....(ik dis was trash)

They will probably just send some mutts and watch the tributes turn on each other in order to survive. I think that some tributes will still keep the alliance but careers will probably break it off to try and win. (Not including district 4 in the careers)

I think that because it is very unlikely for all the tributes to get in a position to agree to do this, that what would most likely happen is that this could be part of the rebellion and the leaders of the districts told them not to fight so they could be freed of the capitol. Any body else think that might happen?

For me it would depend on what happens. Like if the Gamemakers threatend my family then yes but other wise probably not

I think I would definitely do something like foxface, I could not deal with my family, watching me being murdered and I could never have blood on my hands.

I would step off my podium before the countdown was over. I'm tapping out.

It is possible to win a Hunger Game without killing someone. What if you survive the game and the monsters without killing someone? You would be loved by everyone.

actually no. it's all about entertainment in the capital, u would be boring for them

imagine instead of hunger games it be survival so thaey all work together and stay alive for a total of 30 or 20 days and the remaining surviving children would win

i will not fight. i would defend myself if someone attacks me, but i would stay true to the agreement. i know the consequences of this decision and it won’t end well for me but i believe if this outcome happens enough times, the capitol will eventually get bored and decide the games are not worth all the money and effort.

I always wondered about what would happen if the tributes rebelled. It would've been the biggest outcome in the film where they say no more. Maybe not all the tributes, but the ones who never wanted to win.

I mean I would get into a fight with someone but play dead
