I dont think that katiness would have survived without Peeta. If she didnt drown in the spinning cornucopia from lack of will to survive it, she would have let herself die or committed suicide at another time. Even if everything still lead up to Katness facing Snow at his execution, it was peeta who jumped in to stop her from eating the pill in her uniform after killing Coin.

I’m in shook. If Peeta had died, then a lot of people could have lived, or many more people could have died. His character it’s so important. The books obviously revolve around Katniss, but it’s easy to see that Katniss revolves around Peeta. He is essential for the plot, the story. He is Peeta Mellark. He might not be perfect, but he is essential. He is different from all the other characters. He is special for Katniss, he was the reason why she did what she did. Even dead he would have been important...

Peeta needed to live so Katness would be the Mockingjay. If Peta were dead, she would not have needed to go on, they needed her for the rebellion

Am I the only one who thinks that she would have died in the arena if Peeta had died. She would have broken off the alliance with Finnick and went off on her own and ended up dying that way. I mean in a way she wouldn’t have wanted to live without Peeta which is why she was ready to die for him in Catching Fire. That’s my opinion tho.

Another thing that would have happened maybe is that the Female representative of D6 (Morphling) wouldn’t have died, she sacrificed herself for Peeta

Honestly if he died from the force field katniss would ether breakdown and/or want to die, or she would have tried to kill snow even more or most likely both

I imagine Finnock has had to use CPR before due to his district being fishing based and thus by the water.Nice video though

I was just about to mention the monkeys. Its possible she would've sacrificed herself for Peeta, instead of the morphling.

I just realized that Peeta saved Prim by warning District 13 about the attack, because Prim barely made it to the bunker. And Gale(theoretically) killed Prim. Who's team Peeta?❤

A cool idea for a video would be how the Arenas actually work eg: weather is created, controlling the different elements, earthquakes, terraforming, construction, mapping, force fields, mutts, launch rooms, underground catacombs, life support systems for tributes (oxygen in the arena) etc.

I think in this scenario Mags would probably die during the monkey attack in the next sector or at least on the cornucopia island during either the attack of the carrieros or afterwards as you said it when they spin the island

If peeta dies Katniss would have stopped trying. Mainly because she knew she needed him to survive, but also needed him to live, so she wouldn't be alone. Also if he had died Katniss would have mentally shut down becuase she has said,"only one person will be beyond repair if he dies..me"

If Peeta had died in Catching Fire I’d have cried a lot! It would also seriously mess Katniss up in so many ways.

Ok, but what if Katniss died in catching fire (blood loss when Johanna took her tracker out of her arm/ getting struck by lighting,bloodbath, when the careers attacked them at the cornucopia)

What about a new series of the Hunger Games but telled by Peeta's Perspective. Like the same story but narrated by Peeta.

I'm just gonna point out that if peeta died I would be throughly depressed and probably not finish reading the book

Don’t forget, Finnick lived in District Four. Which is right by the ocean, most likely he would have been trained in cpr in his district

I feel like if the rebel plan wasn't happening Finnick would've won. If him and Katniss weren't allies he would've killed her and Peeta. Also if Peeta died before Katniss she wouldn't have survived. Either Finnick or Johanna would've won.

Story Diver Ah, I definitely think he has considering he reacted so quickly and pushed Katniss out of the way.

I think that in Catching Fire that when going to the cornucopia for the second time, they'd leave mags hidden in the shore. They don't have many intentions of staying at the cornucopia very long, and since it took a long time to get Mags from the pedestals to the shore during the Bloodbath, I think that Katniss, Finnick, BeeTee, Wiress and Johanna would have her stay on the shore.

Assuming she makes it past the moneys, which I'll assume she does because I don't see her dying that way if she makes it past the fog. Though she definitely would stay on shore, which means that maybe some of them would stay with her. Beetee and Wiress are good examples of staying back, though I think Wiress definitely would still die here, I also feel like Mags would either be taken by and killed by the Capitol, or survives the entire series.

I just started getting interested in the hunger games a few months ago when my parents told me my sister was named after rue (her name is ruby)

Finnick probably knows cpr because in District 4, it’s a water based / fishing district. And it would be very useful to know how to do cpr in District 4 just in case A kid or something ever fell into the water.

Am I the only one who's noticed how small the arena in catching fire. I've looked at the arena and the speed they get from the edge of the arena to the next wedge and if i had to estimate, it'd only be around 3/4 miles in any direction from the cornucopia. Thats extremely tiny considering an entire wedge is uninhabitable each hour. We don't kniw about all the sections but the ones we do know are blood rain, fog, monkeys, tsunami, jabberjays, beast, lightning, and beetles. Assuming all of the other sections you can easily die in, that means 75 percent of the time the arena is even smaller. No wonder the quarter quell only lasted 3 days

What would happen if when the team went to save the tributes, everyone (the team, gale, peeta, annie and johanna) died in mocking jay? Because then, all the events of catching fire would be the same, and peeta would’ve still warned everyone about the bombing so prim would still be alive and wouldnt die because Gale didnt tell then about his plan to bomb, let medics come then bomb again. Would Katniss end up with Finnick because Peeta, Gale and Annie are all dead? Please someone tell me!

Hi there! I love these videos and I have a great idea for a character spotlight. You could do Chaff! In the first movie during the reaping, it shows a Hinger Games where someone from District 11, I think. This could be Chaff because I think that both of the characters look alike. It could be a coincidence though. Also, I don't recall them mentioning why Chaff has a scar. I think it would be interesting to figure out if he got the scar from the Hunger Games or somewhere else. I hope you consider this for a video!

I had a question though, I’ve been reading the series over and over again, and I think I’m missing it... but how did Gale meet up with the rebels while saving some of district 12’s population from the bombings? I wondered that because how come the capitol bombed them, but didn’t see citizens being led to the forest and execute them? I hope I make sense. I still feel like Cato should have slowly killed Peeta with his burning hot sword in front of kattins after they found her in they tree. They had no use for Peeta at that point and also Katniss would be so shocked and stunned at the slow painful killing of peeta that she would likely go insane and want to die so she would fall out of the tree and Cato would kill her instantly.

The rule of Hunger Games is when you die you simply just die. Was their act against the rule?

This lined up pretty nice with my life as I just did my first ever CPR class this past week. In Mags age and experience I’m sure she would have ended up doing something as noble as she did in the 75th games, regardless if there were any changes, but still a very interesting thought process and video!

What happened to Caesar flickerman?

While I by no means wish that Peeta or Katniss died in the 75th hunger games it would be interesting to have a not cannon version where this happens. It would be cool, for lack of a better word, to see Katniss reaction to Peeta dying or vice versa.

Mags is very smart. If she stayed on her own in a safe-ish area of the arena she could have survived. Peeta dying and then Primrose dying could make Katniss be in a very dark place like she was after she killed Coin. Finnick, Annie, Beetee, Katniss and Haymitch would have all voted no, I think. I think the world would be a bit more strict with Coin in charge though. Katniss possibly would have voted yes because the Capitol killed Prim but it would be more likely Gale if he was a victor to vote yes. Gale and Katniss wouldn’t be together I think as Gale would want constant revenge on the Capitol and I don’t think he would take the time out to help Katniss with the trauma of being a victor of the Games, something that Peeta understood. I think Mrs. Everdeen would have kept a similar relationship with Katniss where they’d talk on the phone a bit about Prim. I think Annie would be more happy as she’d have Finnick helping look after their child and I think they’d stay in contact with Katniss. I think Haymitch would stay in contact with Katniss at least vaguely because they may want to talk to each other about how they feel about the Games and the Capitol.

I think Katniss’s mum may have made more of an effort to stay in contact purely because Katniss didn’t have Peeta now.

I think, Even if peeta were dead, i think johanna would gi for propos and she may end up warning them as well

Hi Jess!! I think you should read The Invisible Library Series by Genevieve Cogman. There are currently 6 books (7th coming in December, yay!) that are so GREAT! They are mostly witty and fun😊😊. Plus, the fandom is still quite small. It's about Irene a Librarian who 'acquires' books to maintain the balance between different worlds (between the forces of order and chaos). And with her mentee, Kai, gets in all sorts of adventures. I highly recommend them to everyone. Also I think you may like them🥰🥰.

What if PrimRose made it to the 75th games? Basically we’re implying that Prim participated in the 74th game and won. There’s a good chance Peeta would also be dead in this scenario so how would the 75th games have changed with the rebel plan? Would it have continued but differently or would it have failed?

Had Prim died in the bombing of 13, much of Katniss' actions might change. As seen in the original books, Prim's death shatters Katniss, and she spends months in a depressive state. If Prim dies earlier, then it's likely that Katniss would not be in any condition to go to District 2 or join the Star Squad. If so, she would possibly have remained in 13, and be flown in to the Capitol for the surrender, as was the original plan, and symbolically fire the last arrow and kill Snow as planned. But in that case, as you mentioned, she would definitely vote no for the final Hunger Games. After it's all over, she would probably return to 12 with her mother (if Mrs. Everdeen chooses to return), and live in obscurity with no partner or children, like she'd originally wanted to.

I honesty think Katniss wouldn't of made it. I think she would have either died in the games because she simply didn't have the need to go on. All she wanted in the games to save Peeta. I either think she would have just given up or even killed herself. But lets say she does make it out alive and is in D13, I don't think she would become the mockingjay either. The reason she becomes the mockingjay is to get Peeta out of the Capitol but if hes dead, there is no reason for her to be.

On the movie Mags was presented as an already-dead participant, which makes the viewers aware she won't stand a chance. For example, Finnick or Johanna, secundaries, are not presented as dead but it's not pretty clear they will made it out alive either (specially Johanna, which is kidnapped with Peeta).

Convincing Katniss to trust Finnick if Peeta died would’ve been the least of Haymitch’s problems. Getting her to even keep going would likely be impossible because she was ready to die for him to get out.

Finnick is a positive character because he resuscitated Peeta and fought for the rebellion (at least for a Star Wars reader liking the Rebel Alliance against the Empire). Peeta was able to warn of an air attack but also was a handle for Snow to apply pressure on Katniss. Panem´s Outer Districts are somewhat similar to parts of 17th and 18th Century Europe in that parents sometimes could not feed their children and sent them to work sometimes far away or even abandoned children. Families were people linked together for survival. Enforcing Hunger Games would be possible when people have to struggle to get food for the day every day. Dive safely.

There were so many people who deserved to win the Games, Clove, Foxface, Rue, Finnick, and Wiress deserved better
