I like how the show didn’t just throw Steve out it recognized that even without the super formula Steve was captain America for a reason.

For a pilot, being scrawny is an advantage, if the vehicle (Let's say a robotic flying battle suit) is designed for you. You can make it smaller, lighter, use less Life Support. Being small like that even makes you more resistant to Acceleration (AKA "G forces.") Honestly, fitting miniSteve in that suit is more realistic than Tony fitting in any of the Iron Man suits with all that tech. Even with the power supply embedded in his chest. All those actuators, engines, missiles, and shit? Sure. All that stuff, and a full sized human body? No way without Pym, or Galifreyan tech.

I like that it has the general look of the Mk1 iron man armor

Well in the Main Universe of the MCU Howard explicitily states that he was limited by the Technology of his time. Howard was a genious and he did make amaizing desings and machines but saddly he was limited by the Technological advancements and tools avalible at his time, specially when it came to energy generation he literally crated a synthetic element that was the base for a new form energy generation, but he could never properly synthetize it because he din't have the tools to do so back then.

It’s implied the mk1 is based on the hydra suit, but because he no longer had access to the tessaract because it was being used for other projects, he had to come up with an alternative, and he did, the arc reactor, but if the hydra suits energy consumption is anything like the mk1, it would have only lasted a few minutes at that demand, as well as other issues and side effects, and the element he needed to perfect the arc reactor to make it 100% viable was impossible to synthesise in his time, so he made plans for tony to eventually take up the project.

Tech wasn't as advance, it was also howard's only project. And since his son hasn't invented the arc reactor, that's the only thing powering the hydra stomper. You saw how fast it ran out of power without the tessaract.

Why was Steve the one piloting the Stomper? Isn't he an artist by formation? Not a pilot or engineer. Weirder why would Hydra keep him in the suit?

I know Howard was the one who picked him because he liked his spirit. I think the “official” reason was that he was the only soldier they had that was scrawny enough on hand to fit into the thing. As for why Hydra left him in it, maybe they couldn’t figure out how to open it up manually without destroying it, and they were worried that if they powered it up, then it’d go on a rampage?

Keren banget sih steve rogers jadi iron man. Bentukan robotnya nggak lebih simple, tapi lebih kelihatan tangguh...

Hydra Stomper flipping over the Tank makes Tiger look like they're made out of aluminum..

Steve became Captain America, military was fine. Peggy gets the formula, they require some near invincible back up.

Am i the only one who suspect that "new element" Tony discovers in Ironman 2 is actually based on Tesseract. Howard definitely do some research on Tesseract and trying to make something based on it, but the technologies of his time isn't sufficient. Maybe that's why he decided to coded it to Stark Expo layout so Tony could finish it. And maybe that's why Loki's scepter unable to brainwash Tony in the first Avenger movie.

In this universe. Here's what I honestly think happened. After Peggy got frozen. Steve went on to finish the war as Hydra Stomper. Due to the rousing success of the armor, Howard made more and gave Steve a whole squad to lead. Flash forward forty years a little bit before Peggy returned. Stark industries flourishes using the hydra Stomper armor as it's main focus. Using the Howard Stark AI in place of JARVIS made by Howards son Tony, there's a few "Iron Man" drones positioned in every city around the United states that works with the local police forces. But Tony himself dawn's a new suit instead of going by Iron Man, he goes by SHIELD'S HERALD bc stark industries now works alongside Shield in order to keep the world safe from threats.

better than Iron Monger - Hydra Stomper was powered by a freakin' Infinity Stone, not just an arc reactor. Basically the max power level for that walking tank was "yes".

That would be better since the inside of the suit is really powerfull guy although its not as strong as hulk or thor, at least he's not a regular human being, especially with the nano suit that really fits better in flexibility & agile for movement

A theory I like for why Howard chose Steve to be the Hydra Stomper pilot is that he is one of the few people they can be 100% sure is not a hydra agent as he is not only an established american citizen but as his body is feeble there is no way they would have recruited him.

I wholly disagree. You need to remember, this armor was designed in the '40s. I should look like it was designed in the '40s.
