With the first super soldier being a woman worthy of respect it brought out a wave of domino changes: 1) the gender stereotypes of typical female and male duties and capabilities were equalized way sooner inspiring Melina to continue the Black Widow program and even improve it as well as Hope van Dyne on being part of Captain Carter's Avenger lineup, 2) Bucky never became the legendary assassin Winter Soldier and Nazi Smasher Steve replace him as a more horrifying Soviet monster of terror, 3) the two-man hit squad of Bucky and Nazi Smasher Steve went all Doom Slayer on Hydra to the point that Hydra was not as active nor operational as it is in the MCU.

They didn't kill him off, or at least Peggy doesn't think so. At the end of the episode she talks about believing he's still out there, and that she needs to find him.

@@googamp32 That's great dude, now go buy her comics cuz that's clearly what Marvel wants you to do. By the end of season 2 I can already tell that more than half of the episodes are gonna be about gurl boss characters. It doesn't really seem like the multiverse is as endless or diverse in its possibilities as the Watcher makes it seem to be if in more than half of these universes it's always a woman saving the day or a woman being the most powerful person on the team. Especially if that woman is just another bread-and-butter basic white woman.
