HOW IT WORKS.
The battery is just a buffer to store electrical energy and satisfies
the high current demand that is required for the proper operation
of the electrical components in the vehicle.
But we have a stator.
It's a kind of a power generator inside the engine.
It's directly coupled to the engine and it generates AC current when
the engine turns.
The magnitude of the current is directly proportional to the engine
rotation or RPM.
So it only satisfies the high current demand at the higher RPM.
But it's good enough to charge the battery even at the Ideal engine
speed.
That's why we use batteries.
Here I replaced the battery with a 15000uF capacitor.
It's also an electrical energy storage device.
it charges to its full capacity within a factor of a second and we can
always discharge that by a huge current rate.
So it always satisfies the high current demand.
Higher the capacitance, the more capacity we have.
So when I crank off the engine, which turns the engine.
It turns the stator magnets.
which makes AC current.
then it's fed to the rectifier or regular which converts and regulates
that AC current into an undulating DC which is used to charge the
battery.
Here we used a capacitor instead.
So it stores that energy quickly and makes a clean dc current and
pumps that into the electrical components.
As the cycle repeats it goes smoother and smoother
and works like a loop.
Then what's the point of buying batteries again.
Well, you need batteries if you want to use the electric start.
But maybe with supercapacitors, there is a possibility.
And you need that if your vehicle is based on ECU or fuel-injection
kind of type.
That's the only drawback that I found.
