We should not associate the World Cup of 2018 with Mbappe. Mbappe was a part of that team and played his role as a youngster. But the pressure was not on his shoulder. He was neither the star player of France back then. It was Griezman who was the star player and was France best player. Mbappe real test in WC was in 2022, he lost in the final and did well. But he will get more chances in 2026 and 2030.
