Wait, Cody just fired without thought?! And him having the chip removed made his shot MORE accurate? How?!

Feel like this is more "what if they didn't miss Obi Wan when they fired at him" than anything else. Looking at it that way I enjoyed it, but I think the brotherhood they shared during the clone wars would have caused Cody to hesitate at the very least, then put 2 and 2 together to realize this is what Rex was talking about with the chips. He would have not given the order and then helped Obi Wan escape somehow.

Agreed. This just feels like nothing really changed much, let alone focus on the CLONES THEMSELVES. Order 66 didn't just have an effect on the Jedi, but the clones as well. This also forgets Cody has the HIGHEST RANK any clone can achieve. He commands a HUGE chunk of the entire GAR. If Cody found out the truth of the chips, had his removed, and told the rest of his brothers, I'm pretty sure they'd listen. This could cause a massive amount of clones to have their chips removed under orders of Marshal Commander Cody. This isn't a "What if Cody had his chip removed" story, but "What if the 212th didn't miss hitting Obi-Wan".

Yeah but still I feel like Cody wouldn’t follow either way Cody would’ve asked what act they committed to warrant execution And why were the younglings include as they were innocent like the clones subject to the teachings and acts of those incharge

Considering that the chip has been removed, Cody should have questioned who Sidious was, what the order is, what the Jedi did, etc. Basically in the same position the Bad Batch and Rex were in.

Palpatine was basically an evil version of Clark Kent, unless it was made obvious no one figured it out and even if it were made obvious Palpatine had ways to fake being a weak, feeble old man. After all, Fives saw Palpatine face to face and never, not ONCE made the connection between Sidious and Palpatine.

@@PentePatrolStarWars That's not how the chips work though. Sidious was hiding his identity and nobody knew he was Palpatine especially the clones. Cody without his chip would've IGNORED Order 66 because it was some nameless nobody in a cloak giving him a bogus order. If anything Obi-Wan would've survived this, gone back with Cody, just the two of them, and slowly rally a defending force. Also if Obi-Wan wasn't on Mustufar to upset Anakin, Anakin most likely would've snapped out of it, especially if Padme never arrived. Anakin would look back at everything and without anything to fuel his anger, he'd finally calm down and realize the atrocities he'd committed. He'd go back and kill Palps for sure, but he wouldn't go full mass genocide ESPECIALLY on his own men. This entire story seemed very inaccurate from start to finish.

cody has the highest rank that a clone can be, a clone marshal, he was the commander of the 7th sky corp which have like 35k troop, so if all clone of the 7th sky corp disobey order 66 it will be a devastating strike to palpatine's plan. but is unlikely to happen

What if Qui Gon survived his fight with Maul but Obi Wan was still chosen to train Anakin

as much as I like your stories this one missed the point by a lot. It was not about Cody at all! Also, I highly doubt Anakin would be able to kill Sidious at that point. Next, Admiral Yularen wouldn't obey Anakin's commands lightly and would begin mutiny after ordering an attack on the first core world. They could quickly sabotage the ship or escape via escape pods. He could order clones to attack Anakin for being a Jedi.

This was a bittersweet story, almost everyone died in the end and both the Republic and the Jedi were broken and still recovering from what just happened. But this was a great story and would be terrifying if it would be made into a movie.

While I agree that Cody would have still ordered the kill shot he would not have been angry at the Jedi after that. As for Anakin he wouldn't have been able to be Palpatine at that time. He was completely unhinged and uncontrolled with no training on using the dark side. All of those things Palpatine did have. He had full control of all the dark side powers and skills. If Anakin had been trained to control himself then he would have killed Palpatine but that was still years away. Raging is not what a Sith is that is just a fallen dark jedi. Sith are about using their emotions not being controlled/enslaved by their emotions the way Anakin was in this.

The Revenge of the Sith video game would like a word with you, there is an alternate ending where Anakin backstabs Palpatine after Anakin succeeds in jumping over Obi-Wan to kill him and then Anakin becomes the new Emperor

Cody, being who he is, would have most likely hesitated and think about the order he was just given before ordering the AT-TE gunner to take the shot, in that time other clones who had their chip activate would have immediately fired on Kenobi regardless of Cody giving the order or not. After all that, Cody would have remembered Rex telling him about the chip, put it all together and from there either try and get out of the empire or continue to serve and try to make the best of it. However, i feel like Cody could possibly even have become a mole for the rebellion, Cody is loyal, but he had his heart and mind in the right place.

So did cody remove his inhibitor chip? Because he seemed like he had absolutely no problem killing a person he'd considered a brother only moments earlier

If Rex had removed his chip before order 66, there's no way he would've followed Sideous's command to kill Ahsoka, that's why he's seen trying to fight the programming.

@@shankleythebest Cody isn't Rex. That's very evident throughout TCW, just watch 'Rookies' s1 ep 5. Cody wasn't mindless, he was loyal to the Republic, w/out an inhibitor chip he still would've done it, because like Bacara he cared more about his brothers than the Jedi, who just committed 'high treason against the Republic.'

@@PentePatrolStarWars except all he had was the word of a figure on a hologram, a figure by the way who didn't look anything like the supreme chancellor, even his voice was different. A Cody without his inhibitor chip would've asked more than one question before firing on Obi-wan.

@@shankleythebest ehhh. We do see the Clones identify him as Lord Sidious, so clearly there's something we're not seeing. Or perhaps George didn't think too closely about it. I'd have to rewatch the prequels to be sure, but it might be the case that we were supposed to think of the Clones much more like Jango than we usually do?

I'm gonna be honest the worst one I've ever heard this was a what if Anakin killed Palpatine and went on a crusade looking for his wife the fact that Cody was mentioned at all is a miracle😂

...And because the surviving Order is on Lothal, Ezra is found early, survivors like Caleb, Gungi, Baylan, Quinlan, Jocasta?, and Kelleran with his pod with Grogu find their way there, and so the Twins grow up with those people being some of the Jedi around them. Maybe even Ahsoka finds her way there eventually, after Cody gets in contact with Rex and lets him know what went down.

You had me in the title… not gonna lie. Felt like this was a whole different story than what I came here for… not necessarily in a bad way but in a, hey what the heck kinda way

I dunno. After what happened on Umbara with Pong Krell, I don't think Cody would just follow orders so blindly. Especially from some stranger with a ball sack head telling him to do it. He'd remember what Rex said, would of probably looked into the inhibitor chip failing and what Fives did and make an educated guess as this is what Rex meant by someone controlling them. I'd say it was more upto what Cody would do with that information. Would he tell the rest of his men?

Could you do a video where other clone commanders were told of the inhibitor chips, and chose to either remove their chips or left them alone? Commanders like Bly, Wolffe, Gree, Fox, Bacara, Neyo, Deviss, Thire, Jet, Doom, Appo, etc?

I would love to see that What-If, I have a feeling that the clones would question the order given by Palpatine and agree but they would contact their Jedi commanders that Palpatine just gave them an order to execute order 66, having the Jedi ask what that meant and them saying it was an order to execute every jedi because of them doing treason

I disagree with this one. Cody would've acted the same way if not worse than Rex did. Cody was Obi-Wan's best friend, loyal or not this friendship would've impacted him hard without the inhibitor chip he's human so natural if someone accuses his friend he'd investigate the situation and especially since he's a soldier this would've been doubled

Bullshit, it doesn't even make any sense at all. Cody would disobey order 66 but agreed to seemingly "execute" it to make Palpatine/Darth Sidious believe he would not hesitate. Second of all, Anakin Skywalker, the chosen one, the most powerful Jedi knight in the history of the Galaxy, especially after succumbing to the dark side wouldn't be gunned down by a couple of mere clones.

I believe Padma would divorce Anakin Skywalker because in the episode where Anakin beats up Clovis Padme tells Anakin that they shouldn't see each other or talk to each other for now, I think I've seen a video on KZread of Padma divorcing Anakin for beating up Clovis so I believe the What-If Anakin killed Clovis video might play out the same but changed to fit that narrative

This story lost all credibility once you had a chipless Cody fire on Obi Wan without hesitation or questioning the order. It would never happen.

Why did this change to something about Anakin

I’m in the mood for some ROMANCE video(s) Ie this could also lead to some interesting changes when they are implemented in the cannon how the couples interact etc. Ideas Obi wan x Satine happens when him and anakin protect her on her ship where he admits he loves her how it changes she could offer mandalore and the 1,000 nuetral planets to join the republic if they marry in an alliance this could change his outlook on the code and help him possibly understand anakin better (and not act like an high and mighty ass on mustifar). Ahsoka x Barris they could grow closer over the war and it would be interesting how it would change something like the temple bombing would she confide in Ahsoka try to bring her to her side or would she be talked out of it (maybe they choose exile to be together? Do they help the ghost crew in rebels and how would she react to her old master when they find her dead?). Anakin x Shaak Ti honestly I prefer this match to Anakin x Ahsoka I think It’s more mature and calm mind set would help anakin be more stable (let’s say that Clovis tries and wins padme though she still could be pregnant as a twist) I think she could help him greatly. It would be interesting to see how it would effect him if he still went to the dark side during operation knighfall (order66) would she be able to save him? CRACK ROMANCE!! Palpatine and Jocasta nu as an elderly couple I would find it very amusing to see how they would work they both like old lore artifacts etc let the hilarity commence on how you’d think this would go!!!

Plus we have to remember that Revenge of the Sith came out way before The Clone Wars was even created meaning we didn't know Maul survived, Anakin having or mentioning Ahsoka, we didn't know if there was a Rex, or Obi-Wan having an old flame, we didn't even know there was a Dark Saber due to all those ideas not being shown to us when we saw the prequels in the late 90s to early 2000s

Cody still would have did order 66 chip or now.

Ngl you ruined a great idea with chalking it up to “he still did it and they didn’t miss” like bruh, we would expect and (probably would happen btw) Cody to stall the order to shoot then question Obi or something and develop a story from there. Why ruin all that with just “they didn’t miss”

What if Anakin SPARED Count Dooku?

Defeated but spared by Anakin, Dooku realizes that Palpatine wants him dead. But Palpatine is not willing to kill Dooku himself because that would reveal his hand too early in front of a resolute Anakin. So Dooku allows himself to be taken into custody while Palpatine is simply not in the position to do anything about it and must continue to play the role of Chancellor. Dooku chooses to fully cooperate with Anakin and reiterates what he told Kenobi on Geonosis -- there's a Sith Lord in the Senate. Palpatine is infuriated but plays along and informs Anakin that Dooku will be tried before the Senate, planning instead to have him killed before he can reveal more to the Jedi. Dooku knows that he can't say too much because his immediate survival depends on not forcing Palpatine into a corner. Eventually Kenobi regains consciousness and events play out as normal. They all enjoy another happy landing. Kenobi escorts Dooku while Anakin escorts the Chancellor until he reunites with his wife. With only Kenobi and a contingent of clones guarding him, Dooku is confident to reveal the truth to Kenobi in return for a fair trial. Kenobi accepts and Dooku tells him that Palpatine is the Sith Lord they've been searching for. He also reinforces his reasons for working with the Sith, explaining that he genuinely believes the Republic and the Jedi are corrupt and need to be reformed. Kenobi rebukes Dooku and states that the problems the Republic faces could never be solved through civil war, but promises that he'll personally oversee Dooku's safety until the trial. This leads to Dooku being interrogated by the Council and he reveals everything to them. All members agree that Dooku must face trial but will look into his claims themselves first. Shaak Ti recalls her investigations into the inhibitor chips and recommends that the 212th and 501st have their removed as a precaution. Jedi and Republic forces across the galaxy are instructed to arrange ceasefires with all Separatist forces while Dooku's trial takes place. Both factions begin to understand they've been manipulated by the Chancellor and agree to peace terms. As these events play out, Palpatine's plans begin to crumble and in desperation he issues Order 66 from his office. The clones still affected by the chips turn on their Jedi generals and many lives are lost. But the damage has already been done -- The Jedi and Senate now understand he's a Sith Lord and with the assistance of the 212th and 501st, attempt to arrest the Chancellor. The war is brought to a close, Palpatine is killed trying to resist the Jedi and the Republic begins the long process of reformation and rebuilding. Senator Mon Mothma is elected Chancellor and her first act is to acquit Separatist leaders of all charges to reforge trust in the Senate. Although issues that lead to the war remain hotly debated for years, slowly but surely a lasting peace is forged throughout the Galaxy and the faults of the Republic begin to be fixed. Dooku, however, is made into the Separatist's scapegoat and has his title, holdings and power stripped from him. But instead of facing execution or life imprisonment, he is released into the custody of the Jedi Order to deal with him as they please. The Jedi have not been idle in the aftermath of war, having reflected on their stagnation and complacency and beginning their own introspective reformation.With the encouragement of the Master Kenobi and the newly appointed Master Skywalker, Dooku is accepted back into the order as a Jedi Errant, not entirely trusted by the surviving Order but given the opportunity to prove his commitment to the ideals of the Order going forward. A sad and terrible chapter of his life which began with the death of Qui-Gon Jin has finally come to a close and for the first time in many years, Dooku feels like he is where he belongs.
