Guam joined the Marshall Islands and then they took over Japan/South Korea simultaneously. Eventually joining Greenland for a surprising mutual victory. I'm quite pleased with this outcome.

The projection is fine if it's taken into account into the value of the squares. But the projection only makes sense if it allowed travel across the Pacific Ocean. But since that's not an option, there are better projections that doesn't require the values to be changed.

How to progress in this: small brain (india): conquer as much as possible normal brain (new zealand): conquer and absorb allies big brain (portugal): backstab at the exact right moment and not much else bigger brain (greenland): have evryone unite into you Galaxy brain (cayman islands): have a pixel sized mistake prevent you from interacting with anything and be so irrelevant you get 5th place by not being noticed

Shame the game couldn't have written the proper Åland instead of just Aland, they aren't the same letter (that's like writing Encland instead because G was made a variant of C). Ohter options are Aaland (Å = AA) or Ahvenanmaa (the Finnish name).

It’s not technically an island even though it is surrounded by water, it’s the river that makes it an island but rivers don’t count
