In my opinion Troy and Gabriella are thrown out of the window even with Ryan and Sharpay's original version of songs..I mean this duo is the best in all the three films,it was such a cute brother and sister relationship,they were both talented and hard working while Troy and Gabriella were just standing there singing cliché romantic songs without even working that much most of the time..Ryan and Sharpay are the real protagonists,the queen and the king of hsm...

@@irini2097 please rewatch the movies lol they ALL sang at random times and troy and Gabriela yea they were cliche but sharpays character was very cliche also the typical rich popular/mean girl and in my opinion she had the worse voice 😂 sorry I love Ashley but it's true , like all their characters were cliche , chad "the bestfriend since they were kids" we've see that many times , Kelsi the quiet butterfly who was once a nerd than soon enough had lots of friends and a got a boyfriend, which is Jason and even his character was cliche the "dumb funny jock" they were all cliche but it worked and I loved all the movies as a kid , even went to the theaters to see the last movie lol

If only, but the real message in hsm1 movie to shows everyone can do other things they wanted without being afraid to be judge. That's why Troy and Gabriella were in the spotlight tho. If the siblings sang the way Kelsi wanted, probably the status quo still the same, and athletic, bookworm, dancers will not talk to each other like they used to now.

In my head canon, this is like Sharpay and Evan years later, or maybe just in college. And they’ve grown and learned a lot as performers. Grown to have a respect for slower power ballads in addition to their upbeat style that they had in high school. Growing and evolving as performers. Also Sharpay was so driven and ambitious in her acting. I find it hard to believe she would really just go back to teach high school drama as an assistant and be content like that. I’m sure she just used that as time to regroup and maybe went to Juliard the next year, or just another acting school.

They didn’t speak for a few years but finally came back together and made up. And so “finally found what I’ve been looking for” is a healthy mutually respectful sibling relationship. They’re so happy to be back on good terms and back in each others lives. Many angles to lay on this scene. Also I still haven’t seen that movie but I totally should.

As someone who was in theater and have had this kind of nastalgic moment I totally get how weirdly amazing it is to hear a song you haven't sang in such a long time and have it be connected to such fond memories. I was a background character in the show Guys and Dolls in high school and almost 15 years later I heard a song from the show and I just instantly got taken back to freshman year and singing to the song. My cute little 2 year old daughter was like "what's this?" And I was like "oh. Oh child. Let me teach you." So sereal to also be able to teach your children about experiences you have been through and have them be such a happy time. I was only a background character and did not sing at all during the show but still find it to be that key point in my childhood that sparked my youthful love for theater.

2021 and still listen to this. I miss HSM...

if they sang this version on the audition there could be no more callbacks for Troy and Gabriella :D
