It is a shame you know. I had my daughter in Portsmouth in 2012 and my midwife gave me a list of things to take to the hospital . I guess they have stopped helping new mothers 🤔

This is really helpful & the headphones im planning on taking are sooo similar to yours so its good to know that yours were handy for you!!! Im also planning on basically wearing Nike sliders the whole time & i can obvs shower in them too so its just 1 less thing to think about & carry isnt it! I've got 1 nightie think i may get another one. Think il add the peri bottle thing that looks good!! I also have a bottle of witch hazel at home anyway i use as face toner so i can soak some cotton pads in & take with me! Eye mask think il deffo add that too! Thanks lovely 😊👍💖💕

Honestly the sandwich bags were a life saver!! And yeah for us the v3 just is fine, but it’s just if you were in a rush or something I could imagine getting annoyed with it! Maybe yours won’t be as bad cause it’s new!? Xxx

I packed my bag and used the IKEA bags and labelled them like you ha. I didn't do it by outfits I did it by vests etc. I got the idea from you 😊 I'm due in 3 weeks xxx

Just for anyone who may be reading these comments now... I have had 3 and am expecting my 4th baby, I always pack my baby's first outfit (nappy, vest, babygrow and hat in a sandwich bag) into my hospital bag so it's there and ready to go for my partner to dress baby into while I shower. A helpful tip, pack with it a small pot of vaseline so that before the nappy goes on, smear it all over baby's bum, makes cleaning meconium SO much easier! The rest is backed in sandwich bags in baby's hospital bag, all in sandwich bags but I do it in clothing categories, rather than outfits. Congratulations any mummy's to be!!

Have watched 3 videos of other youtubers till now and no one has told me what to pack FOR THE BABY.

Is you car seat the galaxy one that comes with ickle bubba stomp?

We're the 6 bottles enough for your 2 day stay? I know you also have colostrum twice but if you say he only had two bottles was that enough for two days or am I missing something? I don't know how long I'm station hospitality so not sure on how many bottles I should take... Thanks x

It’s always crazy to see people packing so many baby clothes and diapers 🙈 In Germany they usually have diapers and hospital clothes for the baby and we only need clothes for going home. Planning my bag for baby 2 right now and I’m so excited 😊

Just goes to show that everyone is different . So many of your essentials I didn't use and the things you didn't use were my essentials. Also my midwife told me not to use anything to dilute the urine as they have to monitor how much you wee before you leave.... I've never experienced any discomfort going to the toilet after birth anyway though). X

Exactly! Every experience is so different! I don’t know what you mean about diluting the wee though, surely they’re not going to check down the toilet so it’s fine! Xxxx

@@HomeWithShan did you not have to do your first wee in a pot? I've had to both times as they check how much you have weed before you leave. It has to hit a certain mark...maybe each hospital is different 🤷‍♀️

Do your hospitals not provide formula for during your stay!? That seems super awkward!

Bummer right and diapers! I diapered my baby for two weeks from all the diapers I took from the hospital 😁
