I theorized a while back that it would be Jack after the War, with flashback elements to his time serving (similar to L.A Noire). It it truly wants to stick to the wild west theme though, it would have to go further back than 1899.

Probably will end up being about the Callander brothers.

Yeah RDR2 had the vibe it was setting them up. Seeing the gang in their prime and the black water heist could be really interesting too

It should be jacks story. And maybe at the end tie in L.A. noir( maybe that character can be jacks son?)

I like the Jack idea, back from the war with a chip on his shoulder. Like a quasi criminal/anarchist plot, plus it’s a great way to re unite the still living characters in a broad way with an expansive map. The whole prequel to the prequel idea on the other hand just seems kind of.. I don’t know, droll and bland, where as with Jack his story is open, left avenging John in rdr1 and as an Easter egg in the form of the likely author of a book on franklins shelf in gta5. Whatever r* does it’ll likely be great, crossing my fingers hoping for jacks story, though.

Rockstar WAS great, we have yet to see a project post dei, so it may all come crashing down like every other studio.

Theres no redemption

I've been saying this for a while, it needs another prequel. What people forget is that cowboys and pirates have a ton of overlap. If they do a prequel they can include a big part of history - when the navy put out a bounty on pirates effectively ending the age of the pirates. The whole vibe of Dutch's gang is very pirate like. Their modus operandi. It would also give a morally grey reason to why they are always on the run and living bandit-like lives despite being mostly decent folk. Maybe they weren't pirates, much like they aren't bandits, but got hunted like the rest. Can you imagine their immersion and attention to detail during sea voyages? Pirates being pirates. Sunburnt skin. A customizable ship that actually is a good size with a cargo deck for your horses. Storms and obstacles like whirlpools that would actually make you nervous. Sharks. I want AC: Black Flag smashed together with RDR2 by Rockstar on modern hardware

Jack will be driving a Old Mercedes & they'll still have Horses it will be after Red Dead 3 be it'll be Called Red Dead Avengers(Jacks Ravenge)

i think we should see a new gang but the game isn't about redemption, we need a game about revenge purely in the prime of the wildwest, maybe about the jack hall gang or otis miller

I know im the only person that wants it. But rdr3 should be set during the 1920s and a mafia story. With jack as a don. And you play a guy who rises in the ranks of jacks mob organization. Until for some reason he starts to feel bad and seeks redemption. Also occasionally you can do side missions with jack and he will tell you stories from his past and you get to play out his stories. So it will jump from the 1920s to wild west times.

I seen one saying that RDR3 would be about Charles starting his life and in Canada but a gang from the old life finds him and his family and kills his family but the government thinks it was him so he gets arrested and sentenced to serve in the war and while he’s there something goes down while he’s out on a mission with his platoon on the battlefield and the one soldier he finds alive happens to be jack and the both recognize each other instantly and decide to get out of there ASAP and they do and there would be different missions and you can go to different countries and it would be like GTA 5 you would jump back and forth from Charles to jack and the epilogue would just be an older jack marston 🤠

The point of red dead redemption is trying to show outlaws in the west when its becoming more and more civilised. You cant really have a 'western' game during or after ww1 I think theyve done all they can with the van der linde gang because arthur had all of his development in Rdr2 and we know what happens to all of the main members after so if anything it should follow a new gang and also maybe not have it be called red dead redemption because the character should be one that cannot be redeemed

Nah, Red Dead 3 should be in the prime of the old west, Landon Ricketts should be the main antagonist.

no thats not how it should be it should be about how dutch got his gang and time set before rdr2 and how he met young arthur with hosea and show the blackwater massacare
