Mike, had you ever thought of using one of your brass end caps as a tool? You could apply a thin film of glue inside the cap, then put a grit material on the glue, then after it sets up, it would sand the perfect shape on the end of your walking stick. You could either turn the new tool by hand, or put a shaft on it to turn it with your dremel tool. Just an idea, hope it helps 🤠👍

Wow, I always like to see how things are carved. I love Pearl's little jacket, my dog had the same pattern on his. 🙂 Happy new year to you and your family.

Hi there, Mike, (^_^) I felt as though I was watching a comprehensive tutorial today. It's so interesting to see you work close up on your sticks. I would not have that kind of patience, but you do this over and over and over again with fabulous results and it is always a treat to see you work on your sticks and to see the wonderful results. I pray that the New Year has started off well for you and your family. Kind regards. Liz.

Thank you, Liz! I'm glad to share some detailed information for those who enjoy carving. Maybe it will be helpful for them. It's been a good year, so far. We're about to get a pretty big snowstorm. That should be interesting. I'll get some extra wood in. Take care.

Hey 👋 Mike, I received the Treeline magazine just the other day, did you know you're a celebrity now😄 Loved the article buddy! Everything they offer is surprisingly reasonable, I'd love to get into carving but I don't think I would have the patience lol. Just watching you doing it is very calming to me my friend. Y'all have a wonderful New Year buddy and keep Miss Pearl warm😆 God Bless 🙏 Jay.

I'm glad you got your catalogue, Jay! You should start carving. All you have to do is visualize what you want to make, and work at it till it's done. You will get better with each new piece you carve.
