@@dogables yes, that is me as well. I had waist length at age 29. Chopped it off at 30. It's fine textured, naturally medium blonde. It never has been able to grow past upper bra strap since. Splits and breaks off. I'll be 45 soon.

Truth but it takes aaaaaages. At 3.5 years post buzz cut I've just hit waist length and I have the benefit of an extremely short torso. IMO "just experiment" when it comes to long hair only works if your dislike of your hair outweighs the dislike of change, you have a realistic appraisal of how long it takes to grow back, and have been thinking about it for a long while. Especially if you're used to having hair a certain way, I've seen a lot of regret sentiments from people who haven't thought it through.

She's wearing shorts!! So happy to see you living and thriving. I definitely recommend experimenting with chopping to at least a lob once. You might end up loving how lightweight you feel after. Also, you'd be surprised how fast hair grows. I chopped my hair to chin length right before the pandemic, and it's now past chest length after 1.5 years.

I was miserable knowing Monday i had to get back on “track” . Always eating 5 times a day even when not hungry, just because i had to keep a schedule. Over exercising and always tired. Now I feel alive. Im really focusing on my hunger cues, and eating patterns. Im learning about appetite before and during menstruation and really understanding who i am and my needs. I cannot go back to diet culture. I see why there are so many people struggling with food.

Sometimes people hold onto long hair because it amounts to ones security, sense of worth & beauty mindset. Its freeing when you make the decision to cut it in a level outside of your comfort zone. I'm with you, just do it!?! 🏆🏅

That book excerpt is my life. I recently lost 55 lbs and now I can’t see myself as thin for ANYTHING in the world. I’m afraid to eat. And I’m still heavy. It’s amazing how body image and our relationship with our bodies can take over mentally. I don’t have the courage to go all in, so I’m just going to have to muddle through the middle, but I admire you so much.

Ahh so nice to see a vlog again! It's so nice to see you living a happy, balanced life...and I really hope I can get out to Florida one day to try that pizza. I thought I'd share my perspective on chopping off your hair, since I used to have long hair like yours. I've chopped mine off twice, the first time I went straight from hip length to above the shoulders with bangs...it was awful. I regretted it and couldn't wait for it to grow back. The second time, my hair was below my butt and I gradually went shorter over the course of a year. Once it got to shoulder length, I loved it and I finally felt like "me." This was 4 years ago and although I consider growing it out sometimes, I can never go that long without a cut because I feel more like myself with short hair. I especially think it highlights my bone structure. I think you would look great with a "lob" cut and since you have great hair growing genes...why not try it? You can always grow it out again or get clip-ins if it bothers you that much. Hope this helps! xx

In regards to chopping your hair, I had hair your length. And I recently chopped it. I LOVED it. I’m growing it back out a little now but I definitely don’t regret doing it and it was such a nice change!! Makes it easier to style, and it holds styles better. Feels more trendy and free. Definitely recommend doing it at least once!!

I think so many people are missing the mark on this video!! Food freedom is about enjoying all foods, not about weight gain/loss. Eating intuitively looks different for everyone! It isn’t a diet, it’s a new liberating way to live that frees you from food jail. I’m so inspired by you, steph! So proud of all the growth that it isn’t externally visible. You’re doing incredible, i want to keep going bc of you!!!

I just wanna say thank you for sharing your experience, I've been doing diets for 30 years to make sure I don't gain weight. You inspired be to quit this addiction. To me feeling full = weight gain. I hope I can stop this cos it takes a lot of energy to always think is this gonna make me gain or lose weight. And the grocery store... That's another thing, comparing product constantly. I just don't wanna feel guilty eating anymore. Continue doing this, you are opening people's eyes to selflove! Thanks again! 💜
