What Hygiene Was Like During the Black Plague

Ойын-сауық

What was hygiene like during the Black Death? In the 14th century, the bubonic plague swept through Europe, wiping out as many as 50 million people - or more than half the continent.
During this time, it was common for people to dump their chamber pots in the streets and sleep on dirty straw. These unsanitary practices attracted rodents and spread disease. Could better hygiene have prevented the black plague?

I've read several books on the history of the plague, and some priests also thought that drinking menstruation blood would cure/ward off the plague. I kind of just think that the whole situation was so devastating that they were willing to try anything. But yeah, they did a LOT of gross things thinking it would ward off the plague.

I'd like to hear about ancient Indian hygiene. I know it was pretty interesting like making soap from ashes, it's probably pretty in depth to because even to today Hindu's like myself take fire baths, get the heat and smoke on the germs and grime. There's also holy ash, vibhuti which is like pure (clean) white ashes for rituals and covering yourself in.
