Some of us live in small towns where you accept everything because that is all there is. If you decline you will just be sitting there waiting, and that makes NO money.

Wish I got orders like that. Highest orders I've seen is $8.00 with bad mileage. Most my orders are $3-$6

Can’t do $/miles if you don’t know drop-off destination, and you don’t know that until after order pick-up!

In my area in PA if you except every order you will be getting a lot of $3 orders with no tip. NO THANKS

Midwest: 80% of all orders are fast food and cost $4 per delivery for 8 miles lmao

In my experience from my very first dash, if you accept every order then you spend 2 and a half hours driving 53 miles and you only make $20.75.

I learned that the hard way when I first started dashing. I currently dash in a 55 year old classic car(1966 Plymouth Fury 3) yes, she drinks lots of fuel but I do ok but when i started and took every order that came across my path all I was making was barely gas money. Lol, I couldn't take all deliveries. i've had one where the money was good, but the miles was longer......throw it back in the pool....lol!!! I think your strategy works, pick and choose wisely. Good video.

I'm also in San Diego, but I usually dash south... National City is often more busy than Chula Vista, but the Door Dash zone is also much smaller which means often deliveries take you out of that zone. If other nearby zones are busy, great. But if only National City is popping, then I have to spend time driving back. And sometimes I just want to head back in that direction anyway. Chula Vista zone is a lot larger so it's less likely that deliveries take me out of the zone, but it's also less busy. Thanks for your channel and tips though!

What sucks for me is that I get Walmart orders so much. It’s groceries so your always waiting for them to bring it out then you have to get all the groceries out of your car. And what makes it bad is it’s always 3 dollars for every order. That is ridiculous, seriously they need to change that. It actually makes me so mad. So my acceptance rate can’t go up because I’m constantly declining those orders.

I work 10 hour shifts, make $30 an hour, $2 a mile.

My first week I accepted all orders on DoorDash and put 1000miles on my car. Made $250. Yea that was enough of that.
