I respect that the Swami does not feign holiness and act with pretension. I respect his humility and generosity in sharing the wisdom that he has come to know and has learned from the feet of the Great Ones.

I love this guy and listen to his lectures all the time. He has not had the direct experience say Osho, Eckart, and all the rest did. Among other things, it slows one’s speech…. Translating the ineffable comes off to some as “holy”.. judge mental monkeys we can be…

Even though I am not an enlightened one, I can consider myself fortunate and blessed just to hear Swami Sarvapriyananda's words and understand them. Gratitude to Swamiji for illuminating my mind with the sun of Advaita Vedanda.

True, but the image of scraping hard marble is not the appropriate one. If we exert effort to eliminate the ego, it simply becomes stronger. Only deep effortless rest can transcend either thinking or ego. This is my experience and that of my many meditation clients. Effort will always backfire.

After enlightenment, you do the best you can to help the ones around you.

This longing to help others fades away after a few days because it becomes unnecessary to do so... there is no point in doing so whilst that realization sets in soon after your light bulb has switched on...

It was a really great experience to meet *Rev. Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj* (Vice President Ramakrishna Math) during their visit to Ramakrishna Math Pune and also many great Swami's of Ramakrishna mission.

Swami ji I barely understand what you say but my son, kind of makes sense of your sessions. He listens to you diligently . We have never been a disciple of RK mission but my son is visiting RK mission regularly. He tells me, he'll become a brahmachari, if your congregation accepts him.

Brilliant, what a direct simple connect

we are all the infinite ocean but we just have to realise it via brahma gyan

He looked at the world and all the people and beings in it completely differently, as he realised theres only one consciousness. Like an infinity mirror. All different expressions of the one consciousness separating a part of itself from itself in order to experience itself. Afterwards, he would empower other people to realise themselves, helps people realise who they are and help foster a more conscious interconnected world.

After enlightenment we become more aware about the nature of things and ourselves and basically we see what is behind the scenes as if looking at everything from a mountain summit, however, even after enlightenment some character qualities such as anger, frustration, disappointment, need for love will remain but not as powerful and plentiful as before the enlightenment phase.

Byron Katie has a "method" that helps frame or put our fears in to perspective giving us a way to manage them so to speak. As she puts it, we don't lose the thoughts... the thoughts lose us. Enlightenment is not very worldly practical! :)

In fact it is better to keep What is Enlightenment as a secret. If someone explains what is Enlightenment... We don't want to accept the simple explanation about Enlightenment... though it is really very very simple.

But you did not explain why you think this should be a secret. My counter is the following argument: if knowledge is kept secret, then those who are ready for the knowledge will be denied it. That can't be good, just as it is not good for a small child to be denied the ability to read or calculate.

Yes, entertainment changes its meaning as we transform from individual to universal.

Nothing happens because you are free of the body and mind ......you are G.O.D Consciousness .....a free Spirit again .

As someone who is enlightened, I can say that the ego will never disappear on one’s own effort- it can only (in an instant) go away by grace- and in that moment Brahman knows Brahman and the jiva-jagat-Ishvara triad becomes extinct.
