I have experienced that twice. First time I became a fan of Samsung after seeing Note 8's design and after what Note 9 can do. After that I got so disappointed with Note 10 destroying every reason I loved the Note and Samsung, that is so sad. Also the same thing was with me loving Lego hero factory and Lego bionicle g2 and in the end of 2016 Lego ended constraction and ccbs as a whole, forcing me to buy old hero factory sets on eBay hunting for the best price of a sealed one or buying used.
I don't really have "brand loyalty" when it comes to phones. I generally end up getting what's best for my needs at the moment. And while there are brands that I do like, I don't feel the need to stick with them if they don't really meet my needs. The closest I've ever come to falling in love with a brand was Lumia. I absolutely LOVED Windows Phones and I was pretty sad when they died.

I love OnePlus Started out with the 3T. Stayed with them up until now with the 9 Pro. This will probably be my last one. They used to be really innovative and had features that other phones didn't. With them now being the same prices as Samsungs and basically the same features, I'll probably end up going with Samsung. Way more case options.

Started with 3 and this year upgraded it to a 9. Both times, it was the best bang/buck in my desired budget, in my location. It'll be interesting to see if the Hasselblad collab evolves to include camera hardware, but I'm not too worried about OP's near future since they do sell pretty well at least here in Europe. And besides, other than software updates, there's little reason for a phone owner to worry about brands anyway. You just buy whatever is the best deal when you need a new phone.

Hi , you must be new around here.
Good points, but in the case of OnePlus, I think they messed up by diluting the brand with an unfocused stream of new products. "Never Settle" suddenly means nothing. You don't need to be an enthusiast brand to have a focused line of products.
Don't be loyal to a brand is actually great advice. We as a society are way too loyal to corporations while they only provide us with products essentially.

Might be cool to see phone companies take a page out of car companies book and make special divisions that release enthusiast aimed products. It works well for auto manufacturers when done correctly because it keeps the enthusiasts excited and talking about the brand in a positive way but also allows for mainstream appeal and more importantly, customers.

Hi Saf, Do you like OnePlus too ?
I loved ths OnePlus 5 I had. It was so good - the battery, the software, the UI and many other features most phones did not have. I used it for 2 years and my mom used it for a year before the battery life started getting bad and the phone felt very outdated. I had switched to the OnePlus 8 since I knew I was looking at a solid 3 years with the phone. After one year with the OnePlus 8 without any issues, they switched over to Color OS. I hated it. The UI was bad and the phone had all sorts of bugs. I had just moved to the US and started using 5G, but the 5G on the OnePlus was not much different from the 4G I used to get in India. I was using my Indian sim along with T-Mobile and after upgrading to Android 12, the Indian sim was not getting read in the phone. Idk what happened, but it was after the Android 12 update, and I couldn't get the sim to work. After restarting, or after an update, I was not able to receive internet on the phone through my T-Mobile sim card. I had been in a few situations when I badly needed the internet and it did not turn on. The phone storage was never read when connected to a computer. The default Gallery app showed none of the photos or videos in the storage. I had too many important files in the phone, so I could not reset the phone, nor could I create a backup since the storage couldn't be read on a computer. To my luck, T-Mobile offered a good value for trading in my OnePlus 8 and I got the iPhone 13, been happy withthe the iPhone ever since. It's true, OnePlus DID live long enough to see itself become the villain.
Great video, very informative and very well put together. No question about it you are a Pro! Keep up the good work. Thank you

Going to be sticking with my 7T Pro for as long as i can honestly, previously had the OP5 but the front camera placement and screen of the phone was too appealing to pass up, let alone the performance jump. only time will tell just how much more OnePlus will take from OPPO in it's designs, OS decisions and whatnot. As stated in the video it's either a company can't sustain for a niche or branch out to the masses, regardless of what the company stood for when it first brought out a product, they're still solid phones regardless despite not quite being so.

I really liked one plus 3t when I bought it at the end of 2018 and the thing that I liked about it is its battery discharges really after a loooong time but now even after replacing it with a new battery it is unable to sustain charge even for just a couple of hours. Turns out it is because of their software update.
I've had my 6T for 4.5 years now, twice as long as I usually keep my phones, and it still works as well as it did when it was new. Even the battery life is still fantastic, I only need to charge it every 2-3 days, I haven't had that since my Nokia 3310. Despite that, I recall it being 30-40% cheaper than the big brand flagships. 10/10.

I think the defining moment was when OnePlus 6T came out without a headphone jack. Luckily I had snuck in and purchased the OnePlus 6 before, in my opinion, the brand went down this road. Still holding up today so far (knock on wood) and they've continued to update it consistently

Kinda wish they kept the hideaway front camera because its honestly one of my favorite features since I do a lot of movie watching on my phone. Dunno what my next phone will be, but im looking for some kind of a hideaway or hidden front camera.

I enjoyed this video with the explanation about One Plus. It gave me more insight into the company and the direction that they are headed. I would definitely like to see more videos like this in the future.
Yeah Marques - these videos really help. If you are older and remember when phones were things wired into the wall with receivers and rotating dials lol then you need context. Otherwise you get bewildered. My first mobile was a Nokia brick and all I wanted it to do was make phone calls. Period. My first OnePlus was a three (this one I currently use). I was told by a computer repair guy that he found it in a box of parts. He sold it to me for NZ three hundred dollars and it has been great. Nobody had heard of the brand here. A really lovely phone.
The first oneplus marketing strategy literally blew my mind. "We have a new phone. But you can't have it."

You know I used iPhone. But when I realised that being a fan boy of apple doesn’t benefit me a bit. On the other hand, my mental disorder or isheepness only enriches the pocket of apple, a company that never wants to give a bit what we isheep fans literally BEGGED for. We begged for type-c port. They refused. We begged for fingerprint unlock system besides face-unlock at least in this pandemic. They brashed us away. The list can go very long. Now. I am not a isheep anymore. You know how this benefit me? I only think which product of which company is serving me more. I use products from different companies . I am not inside a ecosystem jail. I am free and benefiting myself.
In the US, now that Google isn’t really competing in the true flagship space, Motorola is competing with budget phones, and LG is out of the race, it really just leaves Samsung and OnePlus as our best options for Android unless you want somebody like ZTE.
