Do you have "fun size" candy bars in Ireland? Make a shirt that has an image of waht looks like a small candy bar wrapper and the label for the name of the bar is CLISARE and then in the corner it says Fun Size. I think if you looked up Fun Size Mars, or other candy bars, you'd see what I mean.

Owning a house is expensive and something always breaks. Maybe vlogmas will be extra exciting this year.

was reflecting on the "old days" back when there used to be meets & fun times in Doyles and then realised that was like 10 years ago, been so long.

I know it wont help now but for the future water problems ...... locate the "Toby" which is the water supply and learn how to turn it off by turning the knob. It will cut off the water supply for your house. Fix the problem and then when you turn the toby back on, run the taps for a few minutes to let out the excess buildup of calcium and other materials in the water.

My wife used to tell me "life happens when you are making other plans" and she was spot on. I understand being frustrated but you keep smiling through it all. Claire, all the best!

Watching the pizza scene reminds me of my first trip to Ireland 40 years ago when pizza was an exotic, unattainable food.

I don't think you'll be in any trouble if the radioator fell off the wall. That simply should not happen. If it really just "fell" off the wall, insurance probably covers it. I am just happy you didn't burn yourselves with the hot water from the radiator pipes.

yeah, heats a mess. my radiator circulation pump died sunday/monday, noticed something off monday morning when the house seemed chillier than i like but was able to trace the problem back to the pump, luckily i was able to find the replacement at a nearby supply and replaced it a few hours later. those years learning plumbing certainly came in handy, now the house is warmer than i like

plumbing in North America usually has a main and then another shut off near where the item/s are so it is faster, plus the other areas that aren't affected still have water access

Had a pipe burst three different times in winter in Boston last five so I feel you. Our ceilings have entire chunks taking out of it where they're ripped it open to get at pipes

Honestly, Alex's color idea is a good one. A green shirt, a sort of gray-ish green, a bit like the lighter part of his hat but slightly more green. Also I feel that pain with the leak. Hopefully is easy enough to fix the ceiling after that.

It's one of the great truths of home ownership: Things will just fall off your house. You don't notice it when you're renting, but as soon as you sign those closing papers, things just start falling off.

Yeah, stuff breaking out of nowhere is never, ever fun. Just when I had my Mom talked into getting a new larger tv the opener for her garage door broke, trapping her vehicle inside, and the repair guy had to come out (on a Saturday) and replace it and make some other repairs. Great job on the video Clare! Thanks for making it. I love Hello Fresh. It isn't so much that it saves money or time, but it removes the stress over what to make for dinner for at least a few nights out of the week. Also, because there are clearly set instructions you and your partner don't argue about HOW to make the dinner either.

I’ve felt your pain Clare. A couple of years ago our shower drain was leaking and it’s directly above our kitchen island counter. $10k bathroom remodel later and all is well. Hopefully you get off cheaper than that🤪 Good to see Alex is as feisty as ever and that pizza Kelly got looked like the bomb. Cheers!

Make sure you really dry out the water logged area well, before you seal it back up, otherwise there’s potential for mold…. Once that happens, depending how bad it gets your house could be condemned. Once it’s really good and dried out, get a spray bottle, and make up a, 1:9 (1 to 9) bleach to water mix and spray the affected area…. Give that a couple days to work and subsequently dry out, THEN seal it all back up, spackle and paint… go ahead ask me how I know, LOL. ETA: Alex is the star of the show but you are the glue that holds it all together, one could not survive with out the other. Much love from New York USA.

Love that Hello Fresh came to Ireland! I use this in Chicago. I do actually really like to cook but Hello Fresh allows me variety without wasting food/groceries that I might buy and then not use. I feel much less wasteful! Home ownership is no joke! Always something happening!

Everyone should know how to turn off the water, electricity, and gas to their house. In Alex's defense, it shouldn't be possible to knock the radiator off the wall even if you hit it with a hammer. Really, it should be more sturdy than that.

If your fitbit is irritating your skin... It has to do with the type of metal on the back of the device... One way to solve this could be using clear nail polish and brush it over the surface that makes contact with your skin... That may help. I had that happen with a watch many years ago...

@@Clisare Hope this helps... clean off any oils (from your skin) off the back of the device, apply a couple of coats of clear nail polish and that should do it... you may have to reapply the polish after a while, but it works. (for those that thought that only women could find a use for the stuff) 😁

Thanks for explaining the separation of the bacon from the hideous -sounding Bacon Bourbon shot as a preventative against vomiting. I was genuinely puzzled. I think Alex's next shirt should be black with 'It's Not My Fault' on it. Husbands everywhere will ask him how they can get one. Finally, this is the third time I've heard you mention avocados. If you haven't, try avocado toast, which is almost a freaking symbol among twenty somethings here in America. It's just toast with mashed avocados mixed with a couple of pinches of salt spread on it instead of jam. Gotta be easier than trying to hold back radiator water with your bare hands.

Just noticed the heart. Thank you. Your idea of a vlog of someone who can't cook trying Hello, Fresh recipes is similar to The Anti-Chef, a Canadian teaching himself how to cook by working his way through Julia Child's two volume "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" and keeping in all of his screwups. It is absolutely hilarious. It looks like Dermot and George trying to assemble something they bought from IKEA (if they have those in Ireland)
