I've been watching Shump since his days at Ga Tech. He can score off the dribble. He was Tech's point guard and leading scorer. I think, just like Rose, it was the injuries, which led to inconsistent playing time, and distractions off the court that hurt his game. He has to stay healthy and be in a rotation where he's touching the ball.

That opening clip demonstrates how explosive and electrifying he was back then. I found it interesting how almost all the other knicks started to jog back on defense, content that the pacers would collect the rebound off the miss but Shump was the only one with high IQ basketball instincts to stay and fight.
